Klipper adds the two artists are “zany, and maybe most of all very perplexing.” The exhibition runs through Aug. 15. Lanesboro actress Lizzy Andretta is looking forward to attending the Rhythms on the Root concert series this summer, held outdoors in Lanesboro's Gateway Park. Next up in the monthly series is blues guitarist PK Mayo, who is originally from the Iron Range. The concert is Friday at 6 p.m. The series wraps up Sept. 10 with Iowan folk singer Pieta Brown. “It's just very exciting to get people out in any way they can to experience the arts,” said Andretta. Tickets are required for this outdoor event, and seating is first come, first served, in socially distanced pods. Multi talented Leitrim Village resident, Ursula Connolly joins Mary Blake on Kiss My Arts this week to chat all about her creative life and times. Best known as for her warm chocolaty voice, Ursula started singing as a child with her sisters Inez and Rita Connolly. Her parents passed on their love of all things creative and she cut her teeth on close harmonies at a young age. Ursula talks about her early experience singing with the Connolly Sisters at the Universal Folk Club in the 70's and her subsequent time on the road with Fallen Angels before launching her solo career. Ursula has released two albums. 'Picture of Myself' and 'Devil May Care', and today she sings one of her original tracks, 'All I Want' and 'Godspeed' by the (Dixie) Chicks. Ursula is a qualified vocal coach, helping other singers to find their true voice. Good day Calmlee’s Nation! Who’s ready to conquer the world today! What are some of your favorite Stephen King books and movies? I know I’ve posted a few times recently about Stephen King, But he’s got a lot going on this year! We have The Dark Tower hitting theaters next month and the remake of of the clown movie “It” will be out in September. Mr. Mercedes has been adapted into a TV series! Wow! Unfortunately though it’s only available on Directv. But David E. Kelly is the guy developing it, so it should be pretty cool. He did a lot of TV in the 90’s. (L.A. Law, Chicago Hope, Ally Mcbeal…) Whoa what’s this! TheMist is on TV! The movie is now a TV show spike TV! It premiered back in June and will run for 10 episodes. Two books coming out soon! “Gwendy’s Button Box” came out in May. “Sleeping Beauties” is out in September. That’s it for now. Have a good day!
