Burt Ward, the original "Robin” from the Batman TV Series, and his wife Tracy, have rescued more than 15,500 dogs and hundreds of cats in the last 30 years and they created Gentle Giants Natural Non GMO Ingredients Pet Foods to help all precious pets live longer and healthier.  Dogs eating Gentle Giants Natural Non GMO Ingredients Dog and Puppy Food and following Gentle Giants Special Feeding and Care Program are living as long as 30 healthy, active years with a wonderful quality of life.  They have also created Gentle Giants Natural Non GMO Ingredients Cat and Kitten Food to help cats live long, healthy, active lives, too. Learn more at GentleGiantsDogFood.com and GentleGiantsPetProducts.com.  Little did aspiring actor Burt Ward know that learning martial arts in addition to his mental and athletic prowess would change his life forever. As a teen-age, Burt had all the makings of a true boy wonder. As an all around athlete, strong in martial arts, wrestling, track, tennis and golf, combined with a sharp intellect, playing "first board" in chess for Beverly Hills High School, achieving the top 3% in the U.S. in math and science tests at UCLA, and becoming the world's fastest reader - Burt tested before the American Medical Society in Beverly Hills, California and was clocked at 30,000 words per minute with 90% comprehension (the average reader reads 240 words per minute with 40% comprehension). Burt was featured in an article entitled, "Will the Real Boy Wonder Please Stand Up" and subsequently appeared on the national television educational show "Read Right."  After signing with a Hollywood agent, Burt's first interview was set up at 20th Century Fox Studios, and a few weeks later, Burt was called back for a screen test with Adam West. Holder of a brown belt in karate at the time, Burt showed off his athletic ability for the producers by demonstrating some falls and tumbles, and even broke a one-inch pine board with his hand.  Burt was friends with Bruce Lee. A special piece of movie trivia is that Bruce Lee's first filmed fight scene of his career was fighting Burt Ward.  Executive Producer William Dozier commented about Ward's tall size in comparison to Adam West, and the new Boy Wonder prospect replied, "I promise you, sir, I won't grow anymore." Dozier laughed and told Burt that he would hold him to that. It wasn't until six weeks after the screen test that Burt learned that he had won the coveted role of Robin, the Boy Wonder in the new "Batman" TV series for ABC-TV. He was everything they wanted. All he had to do was just be himself. Batman Was an Overnight Sensation!   Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Why are stories so important?I talk a lot about storytelling on this podcast, but let's for a second explore the word itself.I like to think about stories as gifts. In telling our stories we take a moment from our own experience, we wrap it up the best way we know how, and then we hand it to someone else with a handwritten card that says: “Let's unwrap this slowly together. I want you to feel my intention, I want you to understand why I'm giving this to you, I want you to experience something important to me, something I hope might become important to you. Please don't throw it away or unwrap it so fast that you miss the layers. Don't open it when you're preoccupied or half paying attention. This is a part of me you now hold in your hands. Treat it with care.”That is the preciousness of our stories. It's also why when we learn how to tell them (how to wrap them) as powerfully as possible, they become one of our greatest assets. Which will explain why, when I came across a book entitled: ‘How to tell your story so the world listens', I immediately fell in love with its author.Today's Guest Bobette Buster is an acclaimed lecturer, award-winning producer and author, whose workshops are sought after by top media companies and corporations alike, from Disney/Pixar, Sony, the BBC, Google and SoulCycle. Her ground-breaking philosophy and process give people the ability to uncover and tell their own stories. Her unique ability to crack into the heart of story, has been transforming the way individuals, entrepreneurs and companies tell their own stories for well over two decades. Named as “Hollywood's Best Kept Secret” by 21st Century Fox Studios. She is also the author of ‘How to tell your story so the world listens'.Instagram & Facebook: bobette.busterTwitter: bobettebusterYou'll LearnWhy stories are so fundamental to the fabric of our lives. How they act as a map for the wilderness and a prescription for courage. Why Pixar, Disney and other major studios spend $1 billion a year on the quest for unique stories – and exactly what they are looking for.The difference between Storyreceiving and Storytelling and why “Being heard is so close to being loved it is almost indistinguishable”.Finally, the ripple effect of the ordinary. Why the most powerful stories we own are often overlooked and how trust in the power of your own experience. For me, as usual, this conversation didn't go where I expected. I had prepared for an interview around the ‘words' of storytelling. The structure of how to tell a story so people will be compelled to listen.Instead, this conversation reminded me about the sacredness, rather than just the strategy, of storytelling as a tool for connection.References and links mentionedMy new ebook The Influencer CodeYouTube Video Link: https://youtu.be/gE18wH9_e6UThanks for tuning into this week's episode of the Inside Influence Podcast! Amanda’s story is a universal message of hope. After more than two decades of paralysis and a journey across continents, her pursuit is one of spirit-mind-body transformation. While her spinal cord injury took away her ability to walk, it didn’t take away her ability to dream. Today she is turning her dreams into her reality one-baby-step at a time. On February 27th, 1992 a freak skiing accident rendered her a paraplegic. On that fateful day, at the age of 24, Amanda’s life took a dramatic turn and her dance on wheels began. It happened in a split second while downhill skiing – she somersaulted, an electric current ricocheted through her legs, and instantly she knew she was paralyzed. Since sustaining a permanent spinal cord injury, Amanda has become a strong advocate for people with disabilities and has been involved in community and outreach projects that aim to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. Amanda presents from her bionic exoskeleton suit, walking across the stage and demonstrating to her audiences the power of bionic technology. She is a passionate and dynamic motivational speaker who captivates her audiences with her stories, weaves in the valuable lessons she has learned along the way, and warms their hearts with laughter and compassion. She focuses her energy to present fresh material in a polished style. She has been featured as a speaker at numerous conferences and venues including TEDCity2.0 (Chengdu, China), TED2011, TEDx San Antonio, TEDxDU, TEDxSF, The Aspen Ideas Festival, 20th Century Fox Studios, Aspen Brain Forum, and Singularity University’s European Summit. Amanda has appeared in magazines, news publications, and on major television networks globally such as CNN, CBS Sunday Morning, National Geographic Channel, PBS Nova, Al Jazeera America, Sky News UK, BBC World News Horizons, ITV Daybreak UK, Sat.1 Bayern Germany, RUV Iceland, ABC’s Australian Story, and 60 Minutes Australia. Amanda’s overall message is one of never giving up in pursuit of the best quality of life possible. From her life experiences, she has a greater sense of healing and that transformation occurs from within. She believes in the divine connectedness to all things, and she aspires to help make the world a better place for future generations. Amanda currently serves as Executive Director for Bridging Bionics Foundation, which aims to bridge human mobility with exoskeletons and bionic technology. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, painting, and drawing. She lives near Aspen in Basalt, Colorado. To learn more about Amanda visit http://amandaboxtel.com/.
