Is there enough to discuss in this movie to make a 90 minute show? We think so. This is where Hellraiser veers off into true franchise territory, hitting that sweet slasher time in the early 90s. Ben Errington is joined by I Am Monsters star Nicholas Vince to discuss the film which had its world premiere at FrightFest last month!Actor/director Nicholas Vince is one of the UK's shining beacons in the queer horror scene. Most well-known for his debut role as the Chatterer in Clive Barker's Hellraiser, and Kinski (Moon Face) in the cult shocker Nightbreed. Both a resoundingly nostalgic and relatable tale of growing up in love with horror, and an essential discourse on the turmoil of 'growing up gay' under draconian Thatcherian rule where the closet was always safest, ‘I Am Monsters' is the documentary adaptation of the autobiographical one-man- stage show.FrightFest - https://www.frightfest.co.uk/https://frightfest2023.eventive.org/schedule/64b58db2ac7a9000403abcb2https://twitter.com/nicholas_vincePodcast - https://podlink.to/horrorhangoutPatreon - https://www.patreon.com/horrorhangoutFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/horrorhangoutpodcastTwitter - https://twitter.com/horror_hangout_TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@horrorhangoutpodcastInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/horrorhangoutpodcast/Website - http://www.hawkandcleaver.comBen - https://twitter.com/ben_erringtonAudio credit - Taj Eastonhttp://tajeaston.comSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/thehorrorhangout. The Hellraiser (2022) reboot is practically amazing in my opinion; I love how new characters (Cenobites) were introduced and I got to speak with two of them today, Jason Liles who portrayed "The Chatterer" and Zachary Hing who portrayed "The Asphyx" in which both of them performed exceptionally well in their roles. If I had to choose my favorite Cenobites, it would definitely be these two. I cannot imagine what they had to go through as far as putting on the costumes and makeup for these roles but they did and now I have a lot more respect for them. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/southjerseyhorror/message

Welcome back to another episode of ClassHorrorCast, I'm your host Aran and on this week's show, I'm joined by Mr.Nicholas Vince. From a young age Nicholas always enjoyed performing in front of an audience, as the years went on and after striking a relationship with one of the masters of horror Clive Barker, Nicholas landed the role of Chatterer in Hellraiser (1987) & Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) shortly followed by a fantastic role in Nightbreed (1990). Upon having success, Nicholas soon after realised that he wanted to step away from the film industry and began to write comics for companies like Marvel. He seemingly stepped away again only to return in 2012 - since then he has written and directed 4 short films, published a collection of short stories, and penned his Hellraiser story 'Prayers for Desire' which was published within Hellraiser Anthology Volume 2, detailing the origin story of 'Chatterer'.Nicholas also hosts his successful podcast 'The Chattering Hour', which has had incredible guests from Tom Savini, Bill Moseley & Tom Holland to Lin Shaye & Malcolm McDowell.Follow Nicholas here - WEBSITE - https://nicholasvince.com/ INSTAGRAM -https://www.instagram.com/nicholasjvince/?hl=enFollow me here - https://linktr.ee/FirstClassHorrorIf you enjoyed this episode, please rate/review it as it helps the show greatly!

This week I interviewed an actor who portrayed a horror movie character that gave me nightmares as a kid. That character is the "Chatterer Cenobite" from Hellraiser 1/2 and the actor is the super awesome Nicholas Vince. Nicholas had quite the story to tell about how he went from school plays in the countryside of England to playing the Chatterer. We talked about cheesy Christmas movies, how he met Clive Barker, behind the scenes on Hellraiser, books he's written, and lots more. We also talked about his amazing new show called "The Chattering Hour" where he has interviewed some of my absolute favorite people like Malcolm McDowell and Amanda Wyss. In this episode of Pod Sematary, Chris and Kelsey explore the further reaches of experience! First up is the 1987 Clive Barker classic, Hellraiser! See the introductions of Pinhead, Chatterer, Butterball, and... uh... Female Cenobite? Also, hear how the movie traumatized a young Kelsey by opening her mind to an experience beyond limits, of pain and pleasure, indivisible. Then it's on to the universally praised (for some reason) We Are Still Here from 2015. The hippies are great, but does the rest of the cast stack up? Chris doesn't understand the backstory because it's dumb, and the misses are disappointing because the hits are just so fun. Where do we end on this one? Plus! Chris complains about the MPAA, Kelsey shares her concerns about the future of horror, and we discuss our non-spoiler thoughts on Hereditary (which we'll cover in full once it's available to stream at home). Movie Meltdown - Episode 365 This week we welcome our special guest co-host Nicholas Vince (The Chatterer in Hellraiser 1 & 2 as well as Kinski in Nightbreed) to discuss this week's Sofa Theater feature: The Mist. Directed by Frank Darabont and based on the novella by Stephen King, this 2007 film was released with seemingly little hype and promotion but still seemed to leave a staggering impact on it's viewers over the years. Listen as we discuss the acting, shooting style, casting choices, practical and CG effects and last but certainly not least - the memorable and controversial ending. And while we try to decide just what the siren means to us, we also mention... Andre Braugher, the story of Yugoslavia, Greg Nicotero, leaders and experts, Toby Jones, Drew Struzan, people cannot stand uncertainty, The Blob, eases it's way in, Marcia Gay Harden, The Dark Tower, an abrogation of responsibility, let's put every one in a hot box, we do not like uncertainty, prejudice, air raids in the second world war, Buddhism, writing comic books, Jeffrey DeMunn, a contained story, I don't negate, by any sense... the struggles that us little ant-like human beings on this very small blue planet... in the very small, little uninteresting arm of the galaxy..., Laurie Holden, that's not what you really need to be afraid of, The Walking Dead, they are to blame, bullying and taking it to the worst possible conclusion, Thomas Jane, Night of the Living Dead, we live in crazy balance, yes... I wrote that story, who's going to step up, angered by it, beautifully shot, breaking off into little groups, make me an instrument of thy will, Dead Can Dance, Marcia Gay Harden, it is overwhelming, it's an overwhelming movie, finding the scapegoat, Nathan Gamble, we are a broad church, directing theater and Melissa McBride. "...it is just a terribly difficult watch... I find it absolutely stunning." Last year Brian Jones had a Google Hangout with Nicholas Vince aka Chatterer of Hellraiser 1&2. Check out their live Q&A now!
The idea of the episode's name came from an audience's comment. She said: “ Big bear, I think you are a non-stop chatterer, but I like it, because I am one of them.”I am one of chatterer too, so I can record a episode need 2 hours to listen. … Continue reading "149期:岁念·就喜欢话唠因为我也是 – I like nattering because I'm a chatterer"

We discuss the upcoming stage production of What Monsters Do. Nicholas Vince has adapted two of his short stories for the stage and teamed up with Peter and Phil's theatre company Hidden Basement Productions to put it on! The play is part of the London Horror Festival and is on at 7:30pm at the Etcetera Theatre, Camden, London on October 25th-27th 2013. See you there!
We went to Birmingham in the middle of the UK to attend a screening of Hellraiser and Hellbound, organised by the lovely people at Back To The Theatre. Special guests there included Kenneth Cranham (Dr. Channard), Nicholas Vince (Chatterer), Simon Bamford (Butterball) and Geoff Portass (make up effects on both films). We recorded the Q&A sessions and here they are. NOTE - as it was a live recording of a staged event the sound quality does vary throughout. Sorry about that. But the chats were bloody brilliant!
Here it is - our commentary for Hellraiser Bloodline. It features early morning drinking, Chatter Beast bashing and our favourite character from the Hellraiser universe - Jaques. Have a drink and join us!
A spoiler free podcast discussing Nicholas Vince's book of short stories What Monsters Do, including an interview with Nick himself in a pub to get his thoughts and feelings on the stories. Includes our first ever COMPETITION! Ooooooh.
The comics from 1990 continue! How does a Cenobite create puzzle guardians? Can you follow someone into Hell after they've been dragged through? Would you move into a house with a puzzle on the floor and a mysterious door to nowhere in the wall? These comics really are very good.
10/27/2012 Jose and Ryan have a long conversation with Nicholas Vince about his new book of short stories: What Monsters Do. We talk about what he is working on in the future, and a little about screenings of the Nightbreed Cabal Cut. http://www.nicholasvince.com (Links to buy the book on his site). It's exactly 25 years since Hellraiser was released to UK screens! To mark this wonderful occasion we have recorded a feature length commentary of the movie. We talk through the film while getting a little tipsy and we invite you to join us!
We were lucky enough to sit down recently with Nicholas Vince, who played Chatterer in Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser 2, and also Kinski in Nightbreed. In part 1 of 2 we discuss his early life, meeting Clive Barker and working on the Hellraisers. Some wonderful anecdotes about the making of the films, including some very disturbing images that we nearly saw on film!
The second part of our interview with Nicholas "Chatterer" Vince. We talk Hellraiser, Nightbreed, acting, writing and monsters. Find out his take on Nightbreed and the character of Kinski, his writing for comics as well as short stories, and what he's up to next. A fascinating chat with a lovely chap.

We discuss the second movie in the franchise - Hellbound!
