Auch aus der Krimi-Fernsehwelt wird Claudia Michelsen ihren neuesten „Polizeiruf 110“ zeigen. Mina Tander kommt mit der neuen Marc Elsberg-Verfilmung „Helix“ und Nikolai Kinski, Sohn von Klaus Kinski wird mit "Traumnovelle" nach Arthur Schnitzler nach Biberach kommen. Die Biberacher Filmfestspiele werden mit "Bach – Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte" mit Devid Striesow eröffnet. Natürlich gibt's auch wieder spannende Dokumentarfilme, extravagante Debutfilme, einen Sack voller kreativer Kurzfilme, darunter auch von Filmemachern aus Biberach und Ulm – und einen komplett KI-generierten Kurzfilm von Marcel Barsotti, eigentlich als Filmmusiker bekannt. Außerhalb des Wettbewerbs läuft aus der Region der Waldsee-Krimi „Kurschatten“ von Elmar Maronn. Insgesamt werden rund 100 Filmschaffende erwartet - über 50 Filme werden gezeigt. Film-Party am Samstag - Abschlussgala am Sonntag Die Eintrittspreise bleiben gleich. Die Abschlussgala ist wieder sonntags in der Stadthalle Biberach, dafür gibt's am Samstagabend eine große Film-Party im Hotel Kapuzinerhof. Insgesamt geht das neue Team um den neuen Intendanten Douglas Wolfsperger voll positiver Energie in diesen Neustart des traditionsreichen Filmfestivals, das immerhin in seine 46. Runde geht! Devin & James are back in the saddle for another roundup of Italian flicks. A sampling of the cultiest of all cult genres, the SPAGHETTI WESTERNS! When Clint Eastwood rode through Spain and called it Mexico in 1964's Fistful of Dollars, it started a legit European phenomenon that would produce over 600 titles in barely over ten years! Whereas the American Westerns often whitewashed and mythologized its own westward history, the idea of the good guys always wearing white was losing steam by the 1960s, and the Italians had no sentimentality toward the Earp or James clans as historical figures. The Italian Western hero was the epitome of the anti-hero. Not so much straddling the line between good and bad, but rather stomping on it with their spurred boots. The settings may have been North American, but the politics were purely Italian. We start our discussion with the G.O.A.T., the transformative masterpiece that is Sergio Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. We then move on to the sub-sub-genre of the Zapata Westerns (set within the Mexican Revolution) with Damiano Damiani's criminally underappreciated A BULLET FOR THE GENERAL. Then we lighten the mood a bit with a couple of Westerns that border on comedies while still being bloody and wild. The master Sergio Corbucci (so much more than "The Other Sergio") takes us on a wild ride across the border and back in COMPANEROS, and we finish up with the first film in Gianfranco Parolini's super-stylized hero-in-black series, SABATA! We've wrangled all your favorite Spaghetti West heroes: Nero, Milian, Van Cleef, Bronson, Fonda, Volonte, Kinski, and so many more. Babbels Birthday Bash), ist es dann doch eine ganz gute Folge geworden. Mit tödlichen Pässen aus dem Fußgelenk, schlauen Schlenzern mit dem Binnenrist (merkste was, Thomas?) und mal wieder Thesen am Rande der Tätlichkeit. Aber, machen wir uns nichts vor, dieser Klassiker, von Maik liebevoll Derby genannt, hatte ja auch wieder ordentlich geliefert. Mit Geschichten, die sich über Geschichten legten. Mit Harry Kane, der, wenn so weiter macht, in seiner Suite im Mandarin Oriental bald ein Bälleland eröffnen kann. Mit Julian Nagelsmann, der sich oben auf der Tribüne schon mal mental von einer ganzen Viererkette verabschieden musste. Mit Edin Terzic, den nach diesem Spiel wahrscheinlich nur ein vorgezogenes Weihnachtssingen hätte retten können. Und natürlich mit Thomas Tuchel, der ein solcher Loser ist, dass er gar nicht merkt, wenn er gewonnen hat und deshalb vor jedem Mikro, das ihm in die Hand gedrückt oder vors Gesicht gehalten wurde, den Kinski machen musste. Flitzpiepen-Fitzcarraldo. Aber bei einem solch geringen Körperfettanteil ist die ja auch dünne Haut keine Überraschung mehr. Nun gut. Wir sind auf jeden Fall gespannt, was der Loddar und der Didi dazu sagen. To be continued. (If we have a little bit lucky!) Wer sich jetzt allerdings völlig zurecht fragt, was nun eigentlich mit dem Rasen in Köln und dem Binnenverhältnis (so nämlich, und nicht anders, lieber Herr Tuchel!) in Köpenick nicht stimmt und warum der Vater von Kevin Behrens viel eher das Baustellen-Lichtdouble von Ralf Richter sein könnte, der möge doch bitte reinhören. Tres entrevistas en el podcast de esta semana. Una, en el estudio, con g.a.t.o. incorporada y las otras dos, a través del teléfono. Quienes se atrevieron con guitarra (Tomás) y voz (Bego) a hacer un acústico de dos temas fueron Monteperdido que nos atraparon desde que empezamos a escuchar los avances de su disco que marca el estreno para la etiqueta Sonido Muchacho, después de una anterior entrega que quien sabe si habrá quien la recupere para hacer el prueba y compare. Un álbum que es el catálogo de cómo se puede mezclar el pop con los sonidos más áridos.en cuanto a lo musical y con letras (basta con ver ese título de "Daño físico") que son en algunos casos historias reales como la vida misma. Borja Pérez ha estado a los mandos en la producción aunque poco ha habido que retocar porque el grupo prefiere que mande la espontaneidad. El detalle curioso es qué tienen que ver Dover y alguna canción de su repertorio escuchada por la radio (¿quizás en un programa que me suena un poquito jajaja?) con que se decida que hay que formar una banda. Al principio hubo charla telefónica con Victoria, que junto a Mathieu componen el grupo O´o que triunfaron en su momento en el concurso Bala perduda. Desde Francia, pero afincados en Barcelona, van a recuperar canciones (de su EP "Spells" y de su álbum "Touche") como las que suenan en el curso de la conversación por si a alguien le pasó inadvertida esa propuesta distinta que mira de cerca a Kate Bush o Laurie Anderson. Después nos atendió asimismo por teléfono Namina que es Natalia Miró do Nascimento, con un pie en Brasil y el otro en Barcelona, y fusionando los estilos (jazz, blues, bossa, pop...) en formato dúo (con Pep Gol) o trío o sexteto. Su disco más reciente es "Un udol" y en sus conciertos suenan temas propios pero también luce si ha de leer a Tom Waits, Taj Mahal, Cohen o Jobim. El comienzo fue con sonidos de aquí representados en lo nuevo de grupo de Expertos Solynieve a quienes vimos recientemente en la Plaza Mayor de Madrid y la versión de Brel de su EP "Primera necesidad". y con una pieza más (toque Stereolab y sumamente adictivo) del álbum que llegará en septiembre de Melenas. También sonó la itinerante Lorena Álvarez (ultimamente visitando Albania) formando tándem con Julio Bustamante y lo flamante de Alexanderplatz (Alex de Klaus & Kinski) que anticipa esas "Noches blancas, mañanas negras". En la recta final, otra canción del estreno en solitario de Louise Post de Veruca Salt con su disco "Sleepwalker" y gira que empieza ya en Vancouver y la fascinación futbolística de Miles Kane (camiseta listada y 10 a la espalda) por una leyenda del fútbol italiano como Roberto Baggio a quien le dedica una canción.

Adrian Smith joins me as we return to our long-term discussion of the films of Antonio Margheriti. In the 1980's he made several ‘military men on a mission' films for various producers. These movies aped everything from THE DIRTY DOZEN to RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART 2 (1985) accomplishing much with meager budgets. Margheriti's expertise in special effect work and miniatures were a major help in keeping costs under control. These sometimes great and sometimes insane effects are part of the fun, especially as we get higher definition prints that allow for certain crazy details to become evident.   CODE NAME: WILD GEESE (1984) was the first of trio of jungle action movies Margheriti made with British actor Lewis Collins in the lead and it is easy to see why Collins was briefly considered to play James Bond. He projects ‘tough guy' hardness well and is a solid actor to boot. This film surrounds him with an international cast including an Oscar winner (Ernest Borgnine) and a couple of classic screen bad guys playing nice (Lee Van Cleef and Klaus Kinski) giving everything a sweaty sheen of near-respectability, even if Kinski is very oddly dubbed. Throw in a ridiculous car chase, a few dozen explosions, gratuitous Mimsy Farmer, a surprise villainous turn and it is easy to overlook the regularly disappearing plot, ill-defined motivations and bizarre effects choices. This one is fun in all the over-the-top ways that 1980's action cinema aimed to be. So, hop into that small helicopter and let's torch some opium fields for exciting but vague reasons! Werner Herzog was still fairly new to making movies that are filled with verisimilitude when he made this incredibly authentic cult favourite deep in the Peruvian wilderness with his "best fiend" Klaus Kinski. The two of them had famous battles during this and other projects, but this first collaboration just might be their finest. Despite all of Kinski's dangerous unpredictability, he was a powerful and committed actor who deserved to be more of a movie star than he was. As for Aguirre's story, Herzog's Spanish Conquistadors (and *cough cough* all their slaves) float down a raging river to find the fabled city of gold in El Dorado, but that's a fools' journey that results in many deaths. Yeah, this is a bleak flick, but that doesn't stop it from being a great one. So don't let yourself be stalked by savages. Wir sprechen über seine schönsten Widersprüche, Enttäuschungen in seiner Karriere und wohin diese geführt haben. Es geht auch um seine ewige Unzufriedenheit. Max nimmt mich mit in seinen Keller, wo er sich seine Figuren hart erarbeitet. Wir hören sogar in ein paar alte Kassetten rein.
