FLASHBACK! (duh duh duh duh / making wibbly vertical lines with both hands / mysterious face) Hope you joined in there... This ep was first released on May 2 2024 and we're re-releasing it - like a brilliant classic album - for a very special reason. Limited Time Only has been nominated for an actual AWARD! An International Women's Podcast Award in the category of COMEDY GOLD and it was clips from this episode that won us that nomination. We couldn't be more thrilled (Susie meeting Chesney Hawkes was the bar here and she was absolutely ruddy THRILLED about that so imagine how we're feeling about THIS!). Check out the other brilliant nominees here: IWPA Winners will be announced at the ceremony at BBC Broadcasting House on 17th June so we'll let you know how we do. We'll definitely be drunk. So to celebrate this achievement, and to give this episode another moment in the sun - she deserves it, she's bloody good and features a bone fide rock star - here is Ep 1 of Season 4, Everybody's Changing (featuring Jesse Quin) ORIGINAL SHOWNOTES Everybody's Changing and Susie & Esther don't feel the same... At the end of the last season, they thought, we Can't Stop Now! If only they don't Bend & Break, with Perfect Symmetry, they could create Somewhere Only We Know for a very special first episode of the new season. Featuring Jesse Quin from the band, KEANE! Jesse is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and the founder of Old Jet Arts Centre in Suffolk. He chats to the gals about his early life and his supportive parents; how his career started; his experiences on the road with Keane; and answers lots of questions from listeners - thank you so much for sending them in! Also this ep, there is a surprise visit from the ghost of Derek Acorah; a good old chat about change; comedy sketches; and some singing! It's a bumper ep to launch Season 4 and we're thrilled to be back in your ears. Please share this episode someone you like who'd enjoy it too! Competition: If you've read these shownotes share the episode on social media (handles below!) and tag us in, and send your postal address to limitedtimepodcast@gmail.com - we'll send you a prize! In this episode of the XS Noize Podcast, host Mark Millar is joined by British pop icon Chesney Hawkes. Best known for his timeless hit ‘The One and Only', Chesney talks about the momentum behind his new music — including the Radio 2 A-list success of ‘Get A Hold of Yourself'. He dives into his new album, Living Arrows, out now. It is a raw and heartfelt collection inspired by Kahlil Gibran's poem, ‘On Children'. Exploring themes of love, family, and growth, the album pairs candid songwriting with uplifting pop-rock. We dive deep into the stories behind the songs, as Chesney shares what it was like working with BRIT Award-winning producer Jake Gosling and welcomes contributions from Nik Kershaw and his brother Jodie Hawkes. Chesney also reflects on his recent appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished in fifth place and connected with a new generation of fans. Don't miss this inspiring and entertaining conversation — tune in now to hear the whole story behind ‘Living Arrows', Chesney's creative rebirth, and his time in the Big Brother house. Welcome to the One Hundred & Sixty Eighth Edition of The Chronicles Of Podcast This week, we kick off by saluting some heroes in Burnley FC and Chesney Hawkes before dropping exciting news about Slam Dunk Festival 2025. Tom dives into the weird world of cookbooks with the hilariously bizarre "Natural Harvest" and asks the deep question: what's so good about the hood? Meanwhile, Jamie reveals a baffling new movie based on Toys R Us (yes, really), and tries to explain the wild "Chicken Jockey" phenomenon surrounding the Minecraft movie. We catch up on the lads' weeks as Tom battles a case of chronic hiccups and Jamie shares his Easter adventures. As always, our regular segments are here to bring the laughs: Callum's Teachings hits us with mind-melting thoughts – including a slightly disturbing one about sewers. Tom's Journal features the funniest and weirdest internet finds of the week. Our Single of the Week segment shines a spotlight on fresh bangers we think you need in your playlist. And don't miss Jamie's Audience Participation Challenge, where we ask: what song gets you so pumped up, you feel like you could take on the world? Well, it HAPPENED! As promised, Grainne and Chantal did what most of us can only dream of and enticed 'The One and Only' Mr Chesney Hawkes into a room so he could tell us which couple he hasn't gotten over breaking up; and what a wild ride the escapades of Sam Malone and Diane Chambers' romance was.... almost worthy of a storyline from a 1980s sitcom*. Not only will you hear Chesney talk about his own romantic endeavours, but you'll also get to listen to some of the most dramatic - and electric - reenactments we've ever had on the show. Thank you to everyone who made it down to see this, no doubt you're still reliving the incredible performances Chesney did of his new track 'Get A Hold of Yourself' and THAT song from the 1990s, but for those of you who couldn't join us, this episode is a gift for you to enjoy...*CHEERS! Oi, bellend, if you liked the pod give us a rating, a review, send us some love. It is the musical episode, pop pickers. Now then, now then, we have the old and the new of the music world with us - we have Tony Blackburn, East 17's John Hendy, General Levy, Kanye East, Terry Giant Cock and Balls Rosoman, and The Run Chat Hour with their Eurovision entry Evening Bill. Sadly no Chesney Hawkes. Tracey is particularly happy this month as we're discussing our favourite songs from her favourite ever year, 1991, including hip hop, shoegaze, thrash, pop, grunge, indie, & more. We've each chosen our 10 favourite songs of the year and sent them over to Colin's wife Helen, who put the playlists together and distributed them so we were each given a playlist of the 20 songs from the other two hosts, along with our own 10. We then ranked the playlists in order of preference and sent them back to Helen, who totalled up the points and worked out the order. She also joined us on the episode to read out the countdown, which we found out as we recorded so all reactions are genuine. Now, admittedly, in parts we're a little bit brutal to some of the songs in the list as we're three separate people with differing music tastes, but please remember that to be in this episode at all the songs have to have been in one of our top 10's of that year.Bands featured in this episode include (In alphabetical order, no spoilers here!) - American Music Club, Billy Bragg, Curve, Cypress Hill, Dinosaur Jr, Extreme, The Field Mice, Guns N Roses, Chesney Hawkes, Ice-T, Mercury Rev, Metallica, Monster Magnet, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, Orbital, Primus, R.E.M., Scorpions, Sepultura, Shudder To Think, Slint, The SMashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, SPin Doctors, Teenage Fanclub, The Telescopes, Temple Of The Dog, A Tribe Called Quest Ft Leaders Of The New School, & The Wedding PresentFind all songs in alphabetical order here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5XhJtoJjmZC9DLNh2lQqCL?si=6c98c73fd7dd480bFind our We Dig Music Pollwinners Party playlist (featuring all of the winning songs up until now) here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/45zfDHo8zm6VqrvoEQSt3z?si=Ivt0oMj6SmitimvumYfFrQIf you want to listen to megalength playlists of all the songs we've individually picked since we started doing best of the year episodes, you can listen to Colin's here – https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5x3Vy5Jry2IxG9JNOtabRT?si=HhcVKRCtRhWCK1KucyrDdgIan's here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2H0hnxe6WX50QNQdlfRH5T?si=XmEjnRqISNqDwi30p1uLqAand Tracey's here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2p3K0n8dKhjHb2nKBSYnKi?si=7a-cyDvSSuugdV1m5md9NwThe playlist of 20 songs from the other two hosts was scored as usual, our favourite song got 20 points, counting down incrementally to our least favourite which got 1 point. The scoring of our own list of 10 is now slightly more complicated in order to give a truer level of points to our own favourites. So rather than them only being able to score as many points as our 10th favourite in the other list, the points in our own list were distributed as follows -1st place - 20 points2nd place - 18 points3rd place – 16 points4th place – 14 points5th place – 12 points6th place – 9 points7th place – 7 points8th place – 5 points9th place – 3 points10th place -1 pointHosts - Ian Clarke, Colin Jackson-Brown & Tracey BGuest starring Helen Jackson-Brown.Playlist compiling/distributing – Helen Jackson-BrownRecorded/Edited/Mixed/Original Music by Colin Jackson-Brown for We Dig PodcastsThanks to Peter Latimer for help with the scoring system.Part of the We Dig Podcasts network along with Free With This Months Issue & Pick A Disc.Twitter – https://twitter.com/wedigmusicpcast/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/wedigmusicpcast/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/wedigpusicpcast/Find our other episodes & podcasts at www.wedigpodcasts.com

When I say I have been manifesting this episode for SEVEN YEARS! I am so excited today to bring you this very special episode of Infinite Receiving.Yes, for those of you who have been here a while you will know that in London on that fateful day, the very first Limitless Live, you heard me speaking about my childhood idol. Mr. Chesney Hawkes. This is JUICY! We talk about THAT song, and the meaning it has brought to people's lives. Near death experiences, the beauty to be found in crying, and the risks of love and business. #juicynuggets.I cannot wait for you to experience this episode so get yourself comfy and enjoy!Quotes "I was only 19 when I put that record out. And you don't really know anything at 19, do you? I have children older than that now.""When I really started really getting into music, I was so precocious in a way that I just had absolutely unflinching belief in myself.""And most men haven't discovered how beautiful it is to actually cry deeply about something or just let it out you know, because there's a freedom in it. There's a freedom in it, and you move on, you move forward."Highlights 09:50 I never had any other aspirations. I never had a backup plan. I never had a proper job. My dad always says I came out singing. There was no stopping that. It was like a steamroller or a snowball kind of gathering pace. There was absolutely no way I was not going to make it in my mind.43:56 I don't know if you feel this way, Suze, but there are people in your life that come along at right time to help you grow. Whether it's some kind of guru of some sort that shows you a spiritual path that you didn't know existed, or it's a friend that gives you the advice and love that you need at a particular time that helps you move forward. And there are so many of those people that we've met on this journey here in LA that have helped us, that I don't know where we would be without it. And it's part of the journey of our life. And I will forever be grateful for this place. I really will. But it's just time to come home, get some good beer.47:29 There's a closure here in some way. And songwriting has always been that for me.If you write it down or get it out, it can not only help you move on, but it's going to help other people deal with situations in their lives.Find Chesney Online Find Chesney on Instagram Find Chesney on Facebook Ways to work with me: Order The Infinite Receiving Book here and get 7 days of The Gateway for FREE. It's a change of seasons of LTO and the first episode is all about...changing seasons (how on earth did they come up with that?!) Esther & Susie chat stationary, darkness and self-sabotage in a chat that is as silly as you'd expect. With a fair bit of honesty chucked in for good measure. You may well be inspired to buy a planner and floss your teeth. And possibly do a press-up. In a twist of fate that 12 year old Susie would never have believed possible, the special guest for Episode 1 is Chesney Hawkes, who looks pretty much the same as he did in 1991. Chesney is the consummate guest - funny, inspiring with cracking rockstar anecdotes. He also has apparently endless patience. We still don't know where the balloons came from... As well as talking about Chesney's big break in Buddy's Song (including a terrifying audition in front of his idol, Pete Townshend) and how he came to sing the Nik Kershaw-penned The One and Only, Chesney tells Susie & Esther how he deals with stress, and about the joys of gigging with his son. Jesus Christ Superstar coming down from heaven on a Yamaha also features. 90s kids, that one's for you. Nik Kershaw exploded onto the UK pop scene in 1984 as a solo artist. A string of global hit singles – including ‘Wouldn't it Be Good', ‘The Riddle' and his biggest hit, ‘I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me' – helped to propel him to 62 weeks on the UK Singles Chart through 1984 and 1985 – beating every other solo artist, together with performing at Live Aid. After stepping out of the limelight to concentrate on writing and producing, Nik wrote Chesney Hawkes's ‘The One and Only' and has collaborated with Elton John (including writing and producing one of the songs on the Duets album), Sia, Gary Barlow and Bonnie Tyler, whilst continuing to release his own well-reviewed studio albums, featuring his distinctive voice and highly personal lyrics. He also regularly plays festivals and performs live to his loyal and fervent fanbase.

Corrections: Yes, I do call it episode 1444 (should be episode 1434), ‘To Be Frank’ is the name of the Nik Kershaw album I was trying to remember, and finally, ‘The One and Only’ is the song Nik did with Chesney Hawkes. All that aside, how about cover stories for folks born right around this […]

What to say about this guest; it is hard to express how honoured and truly grateful we are to have had the opportunity to speak to the legend that is Chesney Hawkes. Shot to fame at the age of 19 starring in the film "Buddy's Song" along side Roger Daltrey and releasing hit song "One and Only". But, Chesney is more than just one song. He's a talented musician, released multiple songs, acted and made many guest appearances on reality TV shows. We discuss everything from the One and Only, his podcast; Ferguson, Harrington, Hawkes to taking part in Michael McIntyre's Big Show as a Midnight Game Show participant. Plus the many visits to Dorset, raising money for a friends cancer treatment & discussing the award winning Cerne Abbas Brewery. We had many laughs along the way as well. Chesney is one of the kindest people & if your still reading this and not listening, then stop, as you need this in your ears. Check out this week's episode and share it with your friends, you & they won't be disappointed. If you are a visual person, check out this episode on YouTube. We had guests galore this week, as we were joined by jungle favourites Owen Warner and Sue Cleaver, who dished all the dirt on what life really was like living with Chris in camp! We were joined by ‘the one and only' Chesney Hawkes, who has been living it up in Qatar for the past couple of weeks and who also exclusively announced the upcoming release of his latest album ‘Flying Arrows'. Not only that, Romesh Ranganathan left us in stitches later in the week, as he revealed all about his brand new Netflix ‘Romesh Rananathan: The Cynic' and his latest sitcom featuring Katherine Ryan. And if that wasn't enough, here's more… - Blake Harrison - Owen Warner Leicester City F.C. Prank - Pippa's Sean Connery Impression Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X
The show kicks off with misheard Duran Duran lyrics, explained by Simon Le Bon. We then go 80s shopping at Aldi which makes us wonder what was the use of soap on a rope. Paulo was watching Baywatch wrong if he remembers where The Hoffs nipples were and Chesney Hawkes is now the England football team's lucky mascot - The Celeb Savant has already congratulated him and got a smiley face in return. Dori inadvertently guesses Paulo's movie and Andrew Ridgeley opens Christmas season and kills Wham!ageddon. Everything we discuss in this show can be found on @That80sShowSA on Facebook. This podcast originally plays as a radio show with music that we have to remove from the podcast - here are the songs we spoke about and played: What a feeling - Irene Cara Last Christmas - Wham!
Definitive proof last night: it's always good to have a Marcus in there!Marcus, Jim and David discuss England's 3-0 victory over Wales and just how responsible Chesney Hawkes was for that second half storm. We also deliberate who Southgate should go with in the knockouts after Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden impress. And it isn't over for Gareth Bale in a Wales shirt, but should it be?Plus, Senegal prepare to batter the England band with some brilliant drums, Cody Gakpo's a prat and Dick Advocaat rides again!**Pete's Film Club is back! After a tremendous second half, England blew away a disappointing Welsh side with great performances especially on the wing. Marcus Rashford now has as many goals as Mbappe, and Phil Foden lived up to the hype on his first World Cup start. So England top the group and head to the knockout stages to face Senegal at the weekend, but Southgate has a headache with 5 wingers having scored in the group stages, who does he pick? And after Chesney Hawkes played at half-time, which one hit wonder would you like to see inspire England in the next round? Ant McGinley, Marley Anderson and Joel Tudor attempt to answer all these questions and more. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
