This week on the show I walk you through diagnosing Chrysler 62TE transmission circuit fault codes. This covers the Dodge Avenger, Grand Caravan, Journey, Chrysler Pacifica, 200, Sebring, Town & Country, Ram Promaster, & VW Routan. The PCM's in these vehicles have a default strategy that makes the circuit difficult to assess, but with some understanding of how it reacts to faults we can come to a conclusion quickly. Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off a new weekly theme: "Campus Week". We discussed the power of campus ministries, not only on student life, but beyond graduation. We highlighted Moody Bible Institute's Practical Christian Ministry which is required of all undergrads. A students' PCM is their opportunity to make a difference for Christ in Chicago through many different ministry options. The guests were our broadcasting PCMers Ryan Hanson and Lisa Jempty (both seniors). We also highlighted Chicagoland Young Life with Associate Regional Director Brady Wright. Young Life serves in both middle schools and high schools through specialized events, building relationships, and more. You can hear highlights of the program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. Carr told Proactive that the company is targeting two to four development deals with its customers this year. What's up! It's episode 92 of Payne Points of Wealth and markets have finally rallied! Economic data, well… still not great. Earnings…not bad. But pay attention because the forward-looking markets are telling you about the future. We're going to explain why the market went up even in the light of huge inflation and geopolitical issues. Today on the Tipping Point, we're going to talk about what Wall Street loves to sell you, the products, and the schemes that you need to avoid to make sure you're on your path to financial independence. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... Embrace the gloom [1:05] You can't be all or none [3:58] Never a bad time to be in the market [7:00] The Tipping Point [10:47] Question to ask yourself if the yield sounds too good to be true [12:32] The 2 out of 3 rule Hidden Facts of Finance [18:06] There is NEVER a bad time to be in the market! Jerome Powell has done a great job. As we've said, week after week, he's had his foot on the break, not trying to kill the economy just trying to slow it down. Not every company came out with spectacular earnings, even though 70% of the companies that have reported have shown positive on their earnings. But remember they're ratcheting those earnings down a little bit since we've had all these negative headwinds to contend with. We can't declare victory just yet, we still have inflation and a FED that's behind a curve. There is a chance that rates could go higher. That's why you have to be an investor and you have to make moves in this market. You can't be all or none because if you're sitting on the sidelines right now and you got out of the market, even if you just got out in January, you're wondering now what do I do as you're still making nothing on your cash! This week on the tipping point: Preposterous Products In our collective 75 years in the financial services industry at our firm PCM, we analyzed close to like 50 portfolios a month. We know what everyone is doing out there and we find it shocking that in our industry a lot of the products that are sold are great for the firm that sold them and great for the commission to the broker that sold them but they're not necessarily the best place for you to put your money. There is a lot of buyer beware action out there. Here are a few of the top products to look out for: Anything with a fancy, shiny sales brochure or proposal. If it's got really great graphics and high falutin terms while making promises of fantastic returns there is probably a trap in the fine print. Another investment that gets sold, not bought, on Wall Street are insurance products like annuities. They give you a guaranteed income for life, protect your principle, and all this stuff sounds really good. Ask about the return over the last 10 years and see if you get a real answer. Check out the episode to hear us explain why! This week's hidden facts of finance More than half of generation Z adults between 18 and 25 are already investors with 26% invested in individual stocks. This would make them more financially active than any previous generation at their age. Bill Gates, the largest private owner of US farmland, said on social media that he is going to be investing in more farmland. Microsoft to micro-greens and it's reported that he's making almost 700 million a year on the rents on these farms. Median home prices in the US went from $275,000 to $400,000 in three years. That's more than a 15% compounded annual growth rate in just three years. New York rents set records last quarter. In much of Manhattan and Brooklyn median asking prices jumped 40% or more from 2021. In Manhattan, the biggest rise was in the area covering Soho, Little Italy, and Nolita. The median rent is up 51% at $4,825. It's painful here in the village.
We are vibrating with excitement to talk about the new Netflix's adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion starring Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, and Henry Golding. For those of you jonesing for a little Bridgerton-era love to tide you over until season 3, look no further! Similar to Austen adaptations like Mansfield Park (1999) and Emma (2009), director Carrie Cracknell delivers an amuse bouche of cinematic romantic comedies to breathe life into an otherwise over-tread storyline. The ladies also discuss the announcement of Penny Reid truly having her own PCM and they decide their ‘must have' scenes from each book. Rae throws down the gauntlet for Women's Reproduction Health. If we reach a donation of $100, she will read all the books in the Winston Brothers series and write reviews for each. *With the exception of that Scarlett's book that sounds like she'd be Virginia Woolfe-ing herself. All proceeds will to go to the “Let's Make The Dreamy Creamy Summer Count” fund which aides Apiary for Practical Support, finding safe avenues for abortions and womens reproductive health. In 2015, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) introduced Chronic Care Management (known as CCM) with the intent of improving the care of patients with chronic conditions. CCM offers physicians an opportunity to be compensated for the work that they were doing between office visits including but of course, not limited to calls, education, coordination, and pre-authorizations. In 2020, CMS rolled out Principal Care Management (PCM). What is Chronic Care Management?CMS defines CCM as care coordination services done outside of the regular office visit for patients with two or more chronic conditions that are expected to last at least 12 months or until the death of the patient. In addition, these conditions need to place the patient at significant risk of death, acute exacerbation/decompensation, or functional decline. You can bill for CCM when a physician or qualified health care professional directs your staff to spend at least 20 minutes of non-face-to-face clinical time treating the patient per calendar month. CMS distinguishes between complex and non-complex care. The key differences between them are the:Amount of clinical staff service time providedThe Involvement and work of the billing practitionerAnd The extent of care planning performedWondering how much you can increase your revenue by?Currently CMS reimburses $42.00 for providing a minimum of 20 minutes of CCM per patient per month. Provide 60 minutes of CCM per patient per month and your practice will get $117.60. Let's say you have a practice with100 CCM patients you could earn an additional $4,200-$11,760 per month for work you are likely doing anyway. What is Principal Care Management (PCM)?PCM is similar to CCM because both services are intended for patients requiring ongoing clinical monitoring and care coordination. One of the key differences, however, is that PCM only requires patients to have one complex chronic condition. There are 6 criteria for PCM:The condition is expected to last at least three months. The condition places the patient at significant risk of hospitalization, acute exacerbation/decompensation, functional decline, or death. The condition requires the development, monitoring, or revision of a disease-specific care plan. The condition requires frequent adjustments in medication regimens, and/or the management of this condition is unusually complex due to the patient's comorbidities. The condition requires ongoing communication and care coordination between the relevant providers who are involved in the patient's care. The condition requires at least 30 minutes of PCM services per calendar month. To incorporate CCM and/or PCM into your practice, you will need to develop processes for implementation, tracking and billing. Tracking time and then using the appropriate codes is probably the most difficult part. You have to document the name of the staff member, the time spent, what they did specifically and their credentials. In the battle for talent, how do you identify people who are likely to exhibit the qualities you want? How do you do the same with your existing employees? Assessments? Reviews? Rorschach Tests? Many of us have been part of organizations that sought to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their staff by utilizing personality tests and skill assessments. They've been around for a long time. In fact, the first modern personality test was applied by the US Army in the early 1900s to identify soldiers that may be susceptible to shell shock. Fast-forward a hundred years and a quick Google search reveals the dozens of tests, frameworks, metamodels, questionnaires, and the like, which all purport to assist people in understanding each other. Whether it is Myers-Briggs, DISC, True Colors, 16PF, Winslow Personality Test, PCM, the Five Factor Model or any of a few dozen other tests and assessments, the question I had was simple: is any of this useful? Along with Oliver Cronk, Whynde Kuehn and special guest Andrew Tanner, we delve into that question and attempt to see how practitioners or consultancies might apply the various models. Andrew is an Organization Development and Change expert who's practiced in the field for over 20 years through his firm, Summerhill Consulting, and is currently the head of Learning and Development for PCF Bank in the UK. In this episode: Why do organizations use these tools? How are they typically used? How effective are they? Why would a consultant want to understand their personality type? What do these tools tell us about the skills needed for consulting? Add your thoughts to the conversation on LinkedIn or YouTube. Be sure to sign up for email updates whenever we post new content.
