This balance between creativity and business acumen is crucial for successful product development and brand growth.2.    Entrepreneurial Leadership: Amy's transition from corporate roles to entrepreneurial ventures demonstrates her adaptability and leadership versatility. She thrived in both structured corporate environments, such as at Gap Inc., and in more dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, such as at Lucky Brand and Citizens of Humanity. They seek to deepen relationships with existing retail partners, improve retail presentations, and explore opportunities for retail expansion in select locations.6.    Marketing and Brand Building: Instead of traditional marketing methods, Citizens of Humanity and A Goldie rely on organic brand building and word-of-mouth promotion. However, they recognize the need for technological advancements, particularly in areas such as inventory management and data analytics. Improving inventory accuracy, tracking product performance, and optimizing operational efficiency through technology are seen as key priorities for future growth and scalability.8.    Commitment to Sustainability: Citizens of Humanity and Agolde have made sustainability a core aspect of their brand identity. They prioritize responsible sourcing practices, including the use of regenerative cotton and recycled materials. This commitment extends beyond product quality to environmental stewardship, reflecting a broader ethos of corporate responsibility and long-term sustainability. Their approach demonstrates a blend of ethical considerations with business strategy, positioning them as leaders in sustainable fashion within the industry.

I am joined in this episode by Trinity Mouzon Wofford, Co-Founder and CEO of Golde, a health and beauty brand with the mission of bringing accessibility to the wellness industry. In this founder conversation, Trinity and I discuss her bootstrapping journey, what it's like being the face of a company, and the struggles, milestones, and “shoulds” that come up along the way. Trinity's evolution of allowing spontaneity in her schedule to avoid the path of burnout — and not feeling shame about it — is inspiring. To show how she got there, Trinity and I delve into three phases of entrepreneurship. The first is the finance piece, which many entrepreneurs find intimidating. At Golde, they were able to self-support and as a result, they created something that they were excited about, without investments pouring in. Focusing on finding alignment where the energy flowed, meant that even when the work was hard, they wanted to do more of it. Secondly, Trinity shares her tactics for dealing with the “messy middle.” This is when you're no longer the newest brand with the newest perspective, and you have customers, partnerships, and visibility that can create outside perspectives and disrupt your flow with judgment and opinions. Lastly, when you gain success, it can be easy to create false truths about who you are in the world, and how you operate. By doing so, you produce pain and friction. Listen in to hear how, now that Golde is established and continues to grow, they're able to focus on creating for creation's sake and give to something they “can stand for until the day you die… or longer”. I am so excited to finally have Trinity Mouzon Wofford, Co-founder and CEO of Golde, on todays episode. Trinity has been an expander and inspiration of mine for many years, so it was a delight to sit down and connect with her.  Golde is a superfood and wellness brand that is centered around being approachable, fun, and effective. Started in 2017 by Trinity and her high school sweetheart, now husband, Issey, out of their Brooklyn apartment with one product (their turmeric latte blend) to now having matcha, masks, mushrooms, collagen blends, hydrators and more! They can be found in Target and other major retailers with some exciting expansion on the horizon. I am not going to go into depth on how it started, as we speak about it in the episode. But I've been a super fan of Trinity's for awhile, as I love her genuine, loving, real and down to earth Nature that exudes from online into real world, and ultimately to Golde's creations. This was such a fun conversation where we covered everything from how they started, being self-funded, taking risks, fear, success, having a vision and taking action, business + motherhood, moving into nature, their creation process and more.  A truly moving, and inspiring conversation no matter what you do, and where you are on your path.  Enjoy!   GOLDE  Golde.co  Shop All Products  Stocklists  Golde Instagram Trinity's Instagram    ARL  Collection N0 01 - Beauty Sign Up (Use code: ARLPODCAST for $11 off the Collection price) Website  ARL Instagram  Lisa's Instagram Work with me 1:1

Fiddler on the Roof  is the story of Tevye the Milkman and his struggles to adapt to changing traditions in his little village of Anatevke. But who's motivating him to adapt to these changes at all?Tevye has six opinionated, intelligent, and independent women in his life — his wife, Golde, and his five daughters: Tsaytl, Hodl, Khave, Shprintze, and Bielke. Their wits and whims shepherd Tevye through his development and open his eyes to the wide world outside of his established routines and rituals. He is forced to respect new traditions because they are brought to him by people he respects. In context, respecting other men is one thing — respecting the minds and hearts of women was wholly rare.We had the privilege of speaking to the women of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish about their feelings on the musical, their characters, and uprooting tradition in favor of the pursuit of lifelong happiness and fulfillment. Jennifer Babiak, Rachel Zatcoff, Stephanie Lynne Mason, Rosie Jo Neddy, Raquel Nobile, and Jodi Snyder appear in this round table discussion, hosted by NYTF communications and social media associate Sarah Jae Leiber.
