Since the Super Bowl is approaching, and there have already been warnings about sold-out food orders on the day of the game, the Tribe called in their favorite food items from local places in Connecticut. (0:00) Vin Candelora was on to talk about the Governor nixing mask mandates in schools, and also shared his extensive menu for the Super Bowl. Plus, a bonus story of going to the Emergency Room last year. (13:09) Dumb Ass News - A boozed up bozo in Florida stuck his hand in a tiger enclosure, and was predictably, mauled immediately. The tiger had to be killed, and everyone is upset. (23:57) Carol the Accountant helps out all the math noobs with their 2022 taxes. She (and her parrot) narrowed down the most important things to pay attention to when filing this year. (30:17) Julian Gill wrote a book about the infamous "dark decade" of Aerosmith's drug use and wild touring from 1973-1985. He was on to share how all the rumors about their behavior were true. (42:05) Dating coach Kimmy Seltzer was on to help single folks make their dating app profiles really stand out, then warned about avoiding some cliche pitfalls. "Aerosmith On Tour" focuses on the touring history of one of rock's legendary bands based on local reviews of the shows and the contemporaneous critical perception of the band. This first volume of "Aerosmith On Tour" covers the band's early grind, as they sought to establish themselves on the rock 'n' roll landscape, through the successes and internal turmoil, ending with the successful 1984 reunion. Also covered are the offshoot bands, the Joe Perry Project and Whitford/St. Holmes, and classic era discographies. This is an unofficial & unsanctioned work fifteen years in the making! It's packed full of hundreds of tour ads, concert ticket stubs, set lists, and reviews. Julian Gill the host of the KISSFAQ podcast and author of over 30 books on KISS including “KISS On Tour 1973 to 2017”, “Odyssey: The Definitive Examination of Music From The Elder, KISS's Cult Classic Concept Album” and “Gene, Ace, Peter & Paul: A Detailed Exploration of the 1978 KISS Solo Albums”. The Metal God, Rob Halford, and his band of brothers started kicking our asses all the way back in 1974 and continue to do so today. While the vast majority of their catalog is considered essential, the first 5 albums hold a special place in our hearts. In this week's episode we discuss our thoughts on Rocka Rolla (1974), Sad Wings of Destiny (1976), Sin after Sin (1977), Stained Class (1978), and Killing Machine / Hellbent for Leather (1978). These albums would influence countless musicians around the world and help foster the arrival of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and, later, Thrash Metal. Back in 1981 rock band KISS released an ambitious album called Music from the Elder. It was intended to serve as the soundtrack for a movie. According to Gene Simmons several actors had already been cast and a script was in the works. All that came to a screeching halt after the album was released. Music from the Elder was panned by many fans and critics alike. Later reviewers have been kinder to Music from the Elder, but it is still considered one of KISS' least successful albums. In this episode Al discusses the original script for the movie, Seb Hunter's attempt to make an adaptation in 2012, and his ideas for how he would write a movie that would more closely follow the music on the album. A lot of the information for this episode comes from Odyssey: The definitive examination of "Music From The Elder," KISS' cult-classic concept album by Tim McPhate and Julian Gill. Its an interesting book, and if you are a fan of this album I highly recommend it.This episode is a companion piece to Episode 129 of Musically Challenged. In that episode Al and Chad discuss the story behind the album as well as the music itself. You might want to listen to that episode first. You can listen to this episode here:https://eclecticmediaproject.podbean.com/e/musically-challenged-episode-129-music-from-the-elder/Want to learn more about The Hero's Journey? Al covered it in episode 97 of Geekery in General. You can listen to it here: https://poigamestudio.podbean.com/e/episode-97-the-heros-journey/If Gene Simmons or any movie company would like me contact me to write a script for a movie based on The Elder they (and anyone else) can contact me at poigamestudio@gmail.com

Its an interesting book, and if you are a fan of this album I highly recommend it. This episode is a companion piece to Episode 129 of Musically Challenged. In that episode Al and Chad discuss the story behind the album as well as the music itself. You might want to listen to that episode first. You can listen to this episode here:https://eclecticmediaproject.podbean.com/e/musically-challenged-episode-129-music-from-the-elder/ Want to learn more about The Hero's Journey? Al covered it in episode 97 of Geekery in General. You can listen to it here: https://poigamestudio.podbean.com/e/episode-97-the-heros-journey/ If Gene Simmons or any movie company would like to contact me to write a script for a movie based on The Elder they (and anyone else) can contact me at poigamestudio@gmail.com

12 Days of Christmas Six-Packs, Day Three On the third day of the 12 Days of Christmas Six-Packs, my true love gave to me... Today friends of the show Julian Gill from KISSFaq and Bakko from Cobras & Fire are rejoining Eric to have some holiday fun, to share some classic holiday songs and the stories behind them, to fight with family and puke on neighbors down at the pub in true holiday tradition, to share personal holiday memories, and to discuss some meaningful charities that could use some love this holiday season. This one's a bit on the anti-Christmas side as it comes to commercialization and the like, but a fun one when it comes to family and friends and the real reasons behind the season. So throw on your holiday Santa hats and join us by the warm glow of the jukebox for some holiday cheer.

Vinnie Vincent is a mystery, he’s an enigma, in fact he’s a mystery wrapped up in an enigma. He is a talented songwriter, guitar player, producer and studio engineer, and even has some vocal abilities as you will hear from some of the demos. In order to unwrap this enigma, we needed to bring in the heavy artillery, so we went after our favorite Vinnie Vincent geek, our buddy and special guest Chris Czynszak from the Decibel Geek Podcast. Steve, Hollywood, and Chris are getting ready for the upcoming Atlanta Kiss Expo, and what better way to do this, then by exploring the Vinnie Vincent Family Tree. We discuss Vinnie’s early years, his time in Kiss, and The Invasion. We get into some rare demos from Warrior and talk about some of the interesting recordings we have come across including songs with The Bangles, Wendy O’ Williams, Jeff Scott Soto, and John Waite. and if that was not enough, we bust Sonny's balls about being a social media icon. Don't miss the music or laughs and check out this episode. We are sure you will not regret it. This will kick off an amazing several week of Kiss related content, from upcoming interviews with Kiss FAQ host Julian Gill, Bob Kulick, Klassik '78, and some other special surprises. It will all bubble over into February with releases of our coverage of the Atlanta Kiss Expo. Episode 50: #LMW2015 Mixed Tape Volume 2Thanks for tuning in to 210 Local Media Podcast and day five of our Local Music Week 2015 episodes. This is our second mixed tape of the week and we wanted to mix in some old friends and some new friends.First up, we have some friends we recently reunited with at the Slowlikefire City Of Echoes Release show, Secrets & Irises with "Golden Circles" and Langton Drive with “0509". Right after that, we follow the punk vibe to some classic San Antonio punk, Nada Mas Basura with their self titled track. Up next, we've got some new friends we met up with at a Local Music Week meeting a few weeks ago, Days That End In Why and their song, "Trick Silver Linings". In true throwback Thursday fashion, we've got a band who is no longer in the San Antonio scene, but left it's mark regardless, Viet Ruse with "Point Of View". Thanks to another Local Music Week meeting, I finally got to meet Nathan Alvarado from Remanon and wanted to play "Justice Paige". Even though we already played this song recently, they've got their show tonight and I just wanted to make it fresh for y'all. A last minute addition made it in with Fallout and their song "Hell To See". They're having their first show as a band at Bond's 007, tomorrow night! Up next, we've got The Native Roar and their track "Dangerous Ways". I totally dig their vibe, very tribal/alternative. Calming things down a little bit, is Dylan Tanner. I met Dylan at the first Local Music Week Meeting at Brick in The Blue Star Arts Complex and was immediately impressed, he's a really nice guy and we're proud to feature his lyrics on our site at www.210LocalMedia.com/lyrics There, you can find the lyrics to his song "Me". Last but not least, to continue the chill vibe, we've got Julian Gill. I met Julian a while back where he played a short opening spot set at Jack's Patio and I think he's another very talented young guy to keep an eye on. We've got his track, "Harder Than Wine".This is day five of local Music Week and there's plenty more that you can find all over social media if you use #LMW2015 Thanks to Local 782, SATX Music, and Do210 for being the primary organizers behind this years Local Music Week. On Thursday, May 21st, our friends Remanon and Verisimilitude will be playing at the 502 Bar. On Friday, May 22nd, our friends, Blackbird Sing will be playing a show at the famous Sam's Burger Joint. These are only a couple of the amazing events going on during Local Music Week. Follow us on on all social media and we will do our best to share anything and everything.
