I've been blessed to talk to some incredible people lately, and this man is no exception! I got to speak with actor Clint Howard ahead of his upcoming multi-episode guest appearance on the CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." You can see Clint Howard play the mysterious homeless man Tom on CBS on April 26th and 29th 1:30 EST. You'll recognize Clint from projects such as "Apollo 13," "The Waterboy," "Star Trek," "Austin Powers," "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and more! And yes, if you were wondering, Clint is a part of that Howard family in Hollywood. He is the younger brother to actor and director Ron Howard, and uncle to actor and director Bryce Dallas Howard. From his acting debut at age two on "The Andy Griffith Show" to his first lead role in the TV series "Gentle Ben," including roles throughout so many blockbuster films, art-house films, ever-popular cult horror films, and valued comedies, with a rare voice adding life to multiple characters of Disney, Clint Howard is an iconic Hollywood Legend who is ever solid, energetic, and always readily prepared to contribute his talents. He is one of very few if any who has had a unique five-generation Star Trek run, including episodes in "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds", "Star Trek: Discovery," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Star Trek: Enterprise," all the way to "Star Trek: The Original Series." He is also one of the few actors to have acted in both Star Trek and Star Wars. You may remember, In 2012, he appeared as Hurst Romodi in a commercial for the video game Kinect Star Wars. Six years later, he had a brief role as Ralakili in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Clint Howard has played such a variety of roles ready to take on any acting challenge. He is the ultimate chameleon of television and film. Clint has played a variety of characters over the years in several classic films along with hundreds of other titles through his 60 years of acting. He has consistently worked well alongside Hollywood's fellow top actors throughout the decades, and has fully committed himself to every character in parts large and small. He has carried unique roles echoing through the generations in some of Hollywood's most memorable roles, still driving forth full steam ahead, ready to take on his next acting persona.
Kinect Star Wars is a must-play for any Star Wars fan looking to unleash their inner Jedi. With its innovative gameplay, stunning visuals, and captivating storyline, this game offers an immersive experience like no other. So grab your lightsaber, trust in the Force, and embark on an unforgettable adventure in a galaxy far, far away. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ongamecast/support

I'm not saying we have magical powers, but the announcement of a live-action Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots movie starring and produced by Vin Diesel came mere minutes after we finished recording. Just after Greg and I talked about the tenth Fast & Furious film, FastX, in which Vin Diesel and the crew go encounter Transformers. They go into space, thus jumping the shark by following in the footsteps of such cinematic icons as Pinhead, Leprechaun, Jason Voorhees, and Machete Cortez. Climb aboard the Dogcast as we discuss some of our favorite Star Wars memories from the games, the movies, the toys, and everything else that George Lucas stuck the Star Wars license on! Everything from Empire Strikes back on the Atari 2600, to The Knights of the Old Republic series, to the beautiful batsh*ttery of Kinect Star Wars, all the way to the yet-to-be-relased Jedi: Fallen Order! Speaking of, did you know that one of your Dogcast hosts met George Lucas? Me-sa not lying, as you'll find out all about it on this episode. As an added bonus, we drink some pretty amazing Belgium beers on this episode--including Westvletren 12, considered to be one of the best beers in the galaxy! So what you waiting for?! The final film of our Star Wars Month, is, of course "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" (2005). By far the biggest disappointment of the saga, RotS is audacious in its tedium. Fittingly enough, however, turns out the story of the prequels parallels that of Anakin himself: a stumbling, awkward mess, whose precious few bright spots only serve to highlight the manifold missed opportunities. https://www.patreon.com/pro_con Music- "when the struggle itself becomes identified with a series of defeats" by 红山郡 (hongshanjun.bandcamp.com/album/-) "Empire Today" from the Kinect Star Wars soundtrack
Coming off their Phantom Menace high, Lewis and Nick nosedive faster than a LAAT/i Republic Gunship divebombing a platoon of IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tanks. That's right, it's time for "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" (2002). This one is pretty much exactly what you remember; despite continuing with the (largely unintentional) criticism of neoliberal technocracy, Episode II proves to be inferior in virtually every aspect to its predecessor. https://www.patreon.com/pro_con Music- "when the struggle itself becomes identified with a series of defeats" by 红山郡 (hongshanjun.bandcamp.com/album/-) "Naturally" from the Kinect Star Wars soundtrack

We've all played some clunkers in our time, but what what are the roots of a bad game's troubles? Could it be the person at the end of the controller? Could we be doing it wrong? Today, Jorge and I talk about the line between a bad game and a bad player. Inspired by Sean Sands' thoughts about getting a new perspective on games he hasn't liked, we discuss the search for a clear vision. We touch on everything from Kinect Star Wars to Far Cry 2, and have a great time searching for the good in even the most tedious experiences. As always, feel free to jump into the comments with your thoughts! Some discussion starters:- Has there ever been a time when you realized you were playing a game "wrong?" What prompted this realization?- What kinds of things do bad games teach us? Is "bad" more of a relative concept based on popular conventions than an absolute category?- To what extent should developers guide players toward the standard or "right" way to play?To listen to the podcast:- Subscribe to the EXP Podcast via iTunes here.
