It's officially the first week of winter, even though winter weather has felt nonstop for the past month — and this episode fully matches the chaos. The girls kick things off by sharing more standout favorites from this year's Holiday Gift Guide, then dive headfirst into a week that somehow included Florida travel drama, milestone birthdays, forgotten memories, and a serious reality check about health.Lauren (LaLa) just returned from Florida, where things went exactly as expected — meaning, of course, something went wrong. Before boarding her flight home, passengers were delayed due to a fuel leak on the plane, setting the tone for the rest of the week. Add in the shock of LaLa turning 40 years old on Christmas, and let's just say… she is not taking “official adulthood” well.Meanwhile, Shawna had her own shocking discovery. While scrolling through old videos on her phone, she found footage from her mom's 60th birthday party --- a party Shawna herself planned and threw, and has absolutely no memory of the event at all. Which naturally leads to laughs, disbelief, and some very real questions. In between the chaos, the girls reflect on one of their most meaningful holiday traditions: delivering holiday gift bags to the pediatric unit at Garnet Medical Center. Each bag was put together to bring comfort, joy, and a reminder that these children are not forgotten during the holidays. The girls are incredibly grateful to the brands who partnered with them and helped make this year's gift bags possible, including PATH Water, Bored No More, Toothbrush Toys, Wright Brothers, Diel Makeup, Penelope & The Vase, Be Blends, Finding Joy, and That's It Fruit snacks. Their generosity helped spread holiday cheer where it was needed most. As the new year approaches, and with LaLa officially entering a new decade... Shawna and LaLa get real about their goals for the year ahead, including working out more, prioritizing their health, and actually listening to their bodies instead of pushing through burnout. If you've ever forgotten your age, questioned your memory, hated winter, or felt personally attacked by a birthday --- this one's for you.
The holidays are loud — emotionally, financially, mentally. And somewhere between the playlists, the pressure, and the memories… we're still trying to breathe. In this episode of Please, Do Tell, we check in honestly about what mid-December really feels like — the joy, the grief, the exhaustion, and the moments that surprise us. This isn't about having it all figured out. It's about naming where you are and giving yourself permission to be human there.Pull up a chair. Take a breath. We're right here with you.

Things take a supernatural turn in this episode of Can't Stop The Pop as Matty and Craig discuss Goldfrapp's 2005 hit, 'Ooh La La'. We examine how the duo's sound evolved from their earlier material, resulting in a breakthrough that propelled them to new commercial heights and helped shape the charts. It seems only fitting that in approaching the work of such a creative, diverse act, the episode contains tangential references to Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, 19th-century poetry, Rachel Stevens and a well-known Soho sauna. But it's all (mostly) relevant to contextualise and celebrate the quality of 'Ooh La La', its visually striking music video and those all-important chart stats…before closing with a rant about the Grammys. This episode is anything but Baudelaire! If you like what we do, please leave us a review wherever you listen to your podcasts. As snowstorms and freezing temperatures take over NY, Shawna and LaLa open up about why her body and winter simply do not mix and how the cold affects everyday life. They also continue their holiday gift guide series, sharing favorite winter and holiday finds including the Clearlight Sauna, Harney & Sons Teas, Dugout Mugs, Harken Candy, Panasonic's bread maker, and ScanMyPhotos.com. Plus, Shawna and LaLa sit down with 18-year-old country music artist Reese Goode, who is still in high school, to talk about her rising music career, balancing school and songwriting, and what's next for this young artist to watch.

For the second time this year, Alberta's UCP government is lowering the barriers for citizen-led referendum questions while also stripping the Chief Electoral Officer of many powers. This week on West of Centre, host Kathleen Petty is joined by CBC writer and producer Jason Markusoff; Globe and Mail reporter Matthew Scace; and pollster and political analyst Janet Brown. As the UCP tinkers with its legislation yet again, Brown wonders, did the provincial government not think this legislation all the way through? As Scace points out, the new legislation would allow a proposed referendum question to contravene the Canadian Constitution. The province says it is ‘restoring confidence in democratic processes'. To Markusoff, it's the ‘La-La-La We Can't Hear You' Act of 2025.And again, the panel is divided on the possibility of an early election next year in Alberta. But Brown, who for the past year has staunchly argued Premier Danielle Smith won't pull the trigger before fall of 2027, has come around to the possibility that Smith is oiling the mechanism. Host: Kathleen Petty | Producer and editor: Diane Yanko | Guests: Janet Brown, Jason Markusoff, Matthew Scace

What does it take to walk away from a "good government job," a law degree, and the security everyone expects you to hold onto? Deida Massey knows. People called her crazy but she called it obedience. Raised on Chicago's South Side, Deida started out advocating for abused and neglected children. But something in her spirit said there was more. So she did the unthinkable: she left it all, moved to L.A. with no connections, and started at the bottom of the makeup world. Her leap led her into rooms with icons like DMX, Common and Dr. Maya Angelou… and ultimately to Zanzibar, where one encounter with the "lipstick plant" sparked the birth of Bixa Beauty, her vegan cosmetics brand. Andy Cohen seems to have a lot to say about Wendy Osefo as of late, but as this season of RHOP chugs along, one thing has become very clear, Wendy Osefo's RHOP exit is expected in 3,2,1… Lisa Barlow is accused of ruining RHOSLC, keeping all her private biz to herself, not sharing anything with the group and oh so much more in what is clearly a hard season of Miss Vida Tequila. The idea of Jen Shah returning resurfaces again now that she has less than a year til she is out of the slammer. Vicki Gunvalson remains out of touch, Lala refuses to talk about Scheana and Vanderpump 2.0 prepares to premiere at BravoCon but all is not as it seems.
