Can a movie made of plastic bricks keep you entertained for 90+ minutes? Join us as we humorously journey through our unexpected viewing of The Lego Ninjago Movie. We admit, our decision was purely for the laughs, and let's just say we found ourselves multitasking midway. As expected though, we have to dissect Lego Ninjago, and that means we must highlight the film's star-studded voice cast and praise its animation quality. But is humor enough to save an underwhelming film? While the infamous "L-Loyd" joke brought some smiles, our excitement dwindles as we discuss the film's pacing, length, and missed opportunities with its talented cast. We hit all the classic beats for this episode, from comparing this to other Lego hits like The Lego Movie and Lego Batman to acknowledging our slightly bitter adult perspectives, we leave no stone unturned—or should we say, no brick unstacked. Letterbox'd Synopsis: Six young ninjas are tasked with defending their island home of Ninjago. By night, they're gifted warriors using their skill and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they're ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy…high school.

Editor - Ryan Folsey RENFIELD editor Ryan Folsey never went to summer camp and never went to film school. His formative years were spent on the lot at Universal Studios and on location with his father, editor George Folsey Jr. (ANIMAL HOUSE, THE BLUES BROTHERS, COMING TO AMERICA, MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER). In his professional life, Ryan has applied his craft to films such as; CABIN FEVER (2002), THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE (2017), SCOOB! (2020) and THE ADAMS FAMILY 2 (2021). RENFIELD was directed by Chris McKay from a screenplay by Ryan Ridley, and based on an original idea by Robert Kirkman featuring characters from Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. The film stars Nicholas Hoult as Count Dracula's lackey R. M. Hollywood actress Olivia Munn struggled for years with chronic pain, fatigue, stress and fluctuating weight loss/gain until she discovered she had Fibromyalgia. With demanding shooting schedules and continually being in the public eye, Olivia suffered for years while trainers, doctors and nutritionists attempted to find solutions. It took a ton of research and a team of doctors at the UCLA medical center to determine what the culprit was finally. Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals.Symptoms often begin after an event, such as physical trauma, surgery, infection or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event.Women are more likely to develop fibromyalgia than are men. Many people who have fibromyalgia also have tension headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety and depression. An autoimmune disease is a condition arising from an abnormal immune response to a functioning body part. There are at least 80 types of autoimmune diseases. Nearly any body part can be involved. Common symptoms include low grade fever and feeling tired. Often symptoms come and go.While there is no cure for fibromyalgia, a variety of medications can help control symptoms. Exercise, relaxation and stress-reduction measures also may help.Much of the time, fibromyalgia is an illness of flares and remissions. You'll feel not-too-bad for a while, then get knocked down by symptoms for days or weeks, then get back to feeling…well, not as horrible. For more information: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/fibromyalgia/symptoms-causes/syc-20354780https://www.cdc.gov/arthritis/basics/fibromyalgia.htmhttps://www.womenshealth.gov/a-z-topics/fibromyalgia________Olivia Munn’s credits include: The Newsroom, Date Night, Iron Man 2, Magic Mike, Deliver Us from Evil, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Lego Ninjago Movie, Six, and The PredatorTo connect with Oliva: Twitter | Instagram_______If you or anyone you know is struggling with an addiction, depression, trauma, or sexual abuse, we've compiled a list of resources at https://secretlifepodcast.com.If you'd like to share your secret on the show or want to share your thoughts about an episode, please send an email to secretlifepodcast@icloud.com.______HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE SHOW?Tell Your Friends & Share Online!Subscribe, Rate & Review: Apple PodcastsFollow & Listen Spotify | Stitcher | Google PodcastsSpread the word via social mediaInstagramTwitterFacebook#SecretLifePodcastDonateYou can also support the show with a one-time or monthly donation via PayPal (make payment to secretlifepodcast@icloud.com) or at our WEBSITE.Connect with Brianne Davis-Gantt (@thebriannedavis)InstagramFacebookTwitterhttp://briannedavis.comConnect with Mark Gantt (@markgantt)www.markgantt.comInstagramFacebookTwitter
