Són malalties que poden afectar el dia a dia d'infants i adolescents, que s'evidencien amb símptomes com el cansament, no entendre què els passa o problemes en faltar a l'escola a causa del tractament i hospitalització. Gemma Solsona, delegada territorial de l'associació de cardiopaties congènites, explica que una cardiopatia congènita és de naixement i el nadó naixerà amb un cor diferent, amb una estructura malformada. Aquesta, depèn del tipus, necessitarà seguiment al llarg de la vida o cirurgia.  “És una manera de malformar-se el cor i en funció del tipus de malformació el nadó tindrà certes necessitats”Gemma Solsona L'associació de cardiopaties congènites vol donar eines i recursos a les famílies, i de pas de donar visibilitat en aquesta realitat. Gemma Solsona assenyala que es tracta d'una discapacitat del tipus orgànica i que encara no està reconeguda. “És un tipus de discapacitat que es diu orgànica i no està reconeguda”Gemma Solsona Tot i ser una malaltia crònica, gràcies a la recerca i avenços mèdics, la majoria dels infants arriben a l'edat adulta. A welcome boost to New Zealand's premium meat sector, with strong growth expected this season. Headwaters Farmers —who produce Lumina Lamb— are forecasting returns of $23.50 per lamb, up 60% on last year. It also reports successful expansion into the Middle East. Headwaters and Lumina Chief Executive Steve Brown told Mike Hosking these markets attract premium pricing.
