Beloved Kingdom-Minded Momma, Have you ever heard yourself say, "I just need more CONFIDENCE?" Do you wish God would have given you an extra portion of confidence? Well, my Mom Mentor friend Kimberly Wright has something to say about that and you are going to want to lean into her wisdom and insight. Growing up in a toxic home, Kimberly had some choices to make as an adult and raising her own children. Her grandma gave her the best advice, wisdom that carried HOPE: "You have two chances to have a family in your life. The one you're born into and the one you create. So you get to create the family you want. And that was just the richest advice." So Kimberly set out on a journey to create a family that thrived. In this powerful episode, Kimberly Wright—a National Mother of the Year (wait until you hear THIS story) , author, speaker, and leadership mentor—and I talk about what it really takes to thrive as a busy Christian working mom.

Mom2Mom MENTORING - Work/Life Harmony, Soul-Care, Kingdom Minded Moms
Hey Marvelous Mom, Welcome to "Mom2Mom Mentoring," the podcast designed especially for busy Christian moms seeking encouragement and practical wisdom. In this episode, I will delve deeper into the life-changing concept of grace and how it can revolutionize your parenting and daily life. You will be encouraged with biblical truths about the One called GRACE and His invitation to us to rest. You will leave with an understanding of how our cultural conditioning of cause and effect can hinder our ability to receive grace. As a seasoned MOM MENTOR, I aim to keep things simple, because we are all busy women and don't need another long list of things to do. So, I break down the challenge of embracing grace into five easy steps. The Five A's to Embrace Grace: 1. Awareness: Recognize when you need grace. 2. Acknowledge: Admit your need for God's grace. 3. Ask: Seek God's help and guidance. 4. Apologize: Repent for the times you've rejected grace. 5. Accept: Fully receive God's abundant grace. This episode is packed with relatable stories, biblical wisdom, and practical steps to help you live in the freedom of God's grace. Whether you're managing the chaos of motherhood or seeking spiritual growth, these insights will inspire and uplift you. Hello Marvelous Mom, Here's a heartfelt Mom2Mom Mentoring podcast designed for Christian moms who feel overwhelmed by the multitude of roles they play daily. This podcast promises to offer clarity and peace to Marvelous Moms by encouraging you to make Jesus your 'ONE THING', create moments for spiritual growth despite your busy schedule, and find your unique sacred space for renewal and connection with God. I'm Misty Hughes, your Mom Mentor and Clarity Coach, here to help you on this amazing adventure called LIFE. I aim to KEEP IT SIMPLE, offering you just ONE THING each week to consider, implement, or share with others. I'll share some personal anecdotes from my ups and downs of raising four kids, including a transformative approach inspired by Susanna Wesley, to illustrate how dedicating even a few minutes to prayer or reflection can significantly impact your sense of peace and joy. I know the struggle to grow amidst life's chaos is real. You fall, trip over obstacles, and get entangled in the chaos of all your roles, like a toddler attempting to walk in oversized shoes. But life demands that you get back up and start again. My mission is to inspire you as I share my own desire to grow spiritually and become more Christ-like. I'll share some of my own journey of attending conferences, reading books, and seeking mentorship, only to find myself overloaded with information and unable to implement change. In my state of despair, I discovered something amazing. God is ALWAYS PRESENT. So, as a solution to this ever-increasing problem of busyness, I introduce a model of simplicity, focusing on 'ONE THING' to avoid feeling overwhelmed. The podcast emphasizes the importance of taking small, manageable steps toward growth and invites you to create your own moments of pause and connection with Jesus. NEXT STEPS

Friend, I know how hard it is to raise a teenage daughter and feeling all alone while doing it. As a mom, we give ourselves this label that we must be doing something wrong if we don't know exactly what we are doing. We should just know, right? What if I told you, we are created to not do it alone, to not try and figure it out all on our own, and the expectations that we seemingly put on ourselves is a lie. It's a way to hide and deal with it all on our own feeling shameful for wanting help or even admitting we need it. In this episode I talk about needing community, needing support and one way to do that is through a mom mentor. Are you a mama who wishes there was a way to get your teen girl to open up to you and create a safe space for her to come to so she gets to just be her true self? I know what it feels like to worry about whether she is keeping secrets from me, or if she'll ever come to me about the bigger, hard things. Imagine if you had a plan to improve your conversations with your daughter so that she can come to you about anything even if she's scared. That's why I offer Mom Mentoring calls! I teach you how to improve open communication & prepare your girl to make good choices You will be able to follow a plan to set the stage for healthy conversations and equip yourself with connection-building questions to ask your girl. You will walk away with a communication plan to confidently implement and get your daughter talking to you!! “Life is not about finding yourself; Life is about creating yourself.” George Bernard Shaw Today we had the privilege of talking with Mom Mentor and Wellness Coach, Christie Deiter. Christie is a mom of 3 with a passion to help moms thrive. Her own journey with pregnancy and postpartum fuels her desire to provide women with a simple and do-able method created to help women in every stage of life to thrive. So often we hear how important it is to think positive thoughts and control our thought life, and yes this is true; but Christie discovered that the missing component in her identity was her body and exercise. So, Christie has created what she calls The THRIVE Method. Single Mom Be Like - Andrea • Single Mom MentorToday's episode is with the amazing Andrea who is a successful single mom mentor. She helps mom seek healing and gives them room to look inward with her course and group. We discuss real healing as a single mom and what it looks like, Healing as a single mom can be a challenging and complex process. However, with the right mindset and support, it is possible to overcome difficulties and achieve a place of peace and fulfilment0. Here are some tips to help you on your healing journey:Acknowledge Your Feelings: It is important to allow yourself to feel all the emotions that come with being a single mom, whether it's anger, sadness, or even relief. Ignoring your emotions will only prolong the healing process. So, take some time to acknowledge your feelings and work through them.Seek Support: Healing is a journey that is best taken with others. Seek out supportive friends and family members who can listen to you and offer their guidance. Additionally, consider joining a support group or seeking out the help of a therapist.Take Care of Yourself: Self-care is vital in the healing process. Take some time for yourself each day to do something that makes you feel good, whether it's exercising, meditating, or taking a relaxing bath.Embrace Change: Change is an inevitable part of life, and it can be a valuable opportunity for growth. As a single mom, you may need to make significant changes to your lifestyle or routines. Embrace these changes as a chance to discover new opportunities and experiences. In terms of the stages of healing as a single mother, here are four stages that Andrea discusses in her podcast:Acknowledgment: In this stage, you recognize that you are in pain and need to begin the healing process. Acceptance: You accept that healing is a necessary and ongoing process, and you start to take steps to move forward. Action: This stage involves taking concrete steps towards healing, such as seeking therapy, joining a support group, or changing your daily routines. Integration: In this final stage, you have successfully integrated healing into your life, and you are able to move forward with greater self-confidence and a sense of purpose. Remember that healing is a journey, and there is no set timeline for how long it takes. Be patient with yourself, and remember that the end goal is to achieve a place of inner peace and fulfilment.Follow her on social media : IG: @single_moms_be_likePodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/turning-pages-with-andrea/id1617550187FREE: Single Mom Master Class: Let Go to Move On: https://andrea-sims.mykajabi.com/pl/2147656466

Welcome to my latest series, LIES GOOD MOMS BELIEVE! In today's episode I am joined with Sarah Wood. She is a friend, writer, speaker and Editor-in-Chief of Mom Mentor. Together, we're tackling the lie: I have to be perfect or I am going to mess up my kids. Our Momma hearts have a deep desire to do well and to be confident that we are, in fact, good moms who are doing a good job with our kids. We want to look back on our motherhood journey and know that we did what was pleasing to the Lord by raising little disciples who, ideally become adults living out their lives with kingdom purpose. So naturally, this is an area the enemy is going to attack because he knows if it is important to us, we can be found vulnerable. You are going to love this conversation with Sarah. She and I dive into the real life struggles, the mom fails and the lessons we've learned so far in our motherhood journeys as it pertains to perfectionism. Sarah will share how her experiences have helped her to grow as a mom and as a believer and offer you practical steps to encourage and get your started in silencing this lie and replace it with Truth about your identity, your mission and purpose. Are you ready? I'm so grateful you are joining me today! Let's dive in! You can connect with Sarah through Instagram! Also check out her ministry, Mom Mentor! Here is where you can find her book, "What Other Moms Never Told Me". For this week's downloadable prayer, click here! FAVORITE TAKE-AWAYS: It's not about perfectionism, it's about control. We have to realize as moms that we are stewards, we're not puppet masters. Because it's God's plan for their lives, not our plans for their lives. We cannot impose our identity and self-worth on our children and their behavior. The minute we do that, it places this terrible millstone around their neck. God is the perfect Father but look at His children. SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 1:6-7 2 Timothy 3:3-6 REMINDER: *Our children can be a process God teaches us, just as we teach them. *Sometimes when we say no, that means we are a good mom. *As moms we are cultivating character. It's not about cultivating an image, it's about cultivating character. *God honors the prayers of a mother. It is something we do as warriors. *We are constantly standing in the way in between the enemy's pursuit of our kids and God's plan for their life. STEPS we can walk out: Think about what you're thinking about. Call it out and bring it into the light. Write it down and find a verse that will combat the lie. Get to work - keeping speaking God's Truth over yourself Lies are not only meant to discourage, they are meant to distract and take you off course.

This week, Carrie sits down with Georgina Tanefski for a heart-to-heart talk about being a mom, a mentor, and (eventually) a friend to your children. It's a raw and real conversation about how to build relationships with your children when they are younger so that hopefully when they are older, they consider you not only mom but mentor and friend. Georgina, who is a wife, mother of three adult children, and grandma to one beautiful granddaughter, shares insights on how to talk to, walk along side, and interact with your children (from toddlerhood to adulthood) during the good times and in the hard times. She also shares from experience ways to lean on the Lord, trust in the Lord, and wait on the Lord while in the midst of even broken relationships. Georgina and Carrie speak from the heart (and share from experiences learned the hard way) advice and tips on how to build and restore relationships and friendships with your children. Motherhood is exhausting, refining and at times, even lonely. As busy moms, we find ourselves in "survival mode" and struggle with feelings of guilt for not savoring every moment. Add to that the extra burden we carry as Christian moms who deeply desire to live a life of ministry and make an impact for the kingdom, and you've got one worn out momma. Join me as I speak with writer and Editor in Chief of Mom Mentor, Sarah Wood, as we discuss the importance of community for moms in all seasons, share wisdom women wish they had received before becoming a mom, redefine ministry for moms and encourage you to silence the common lies the enemy speaks to your momma heart. Connect with Sarah on Instagram and be sure to check out Mom Mentor's new book, Mom Mentor: What Other Moms Never Told Me Connect with Somer on Instagram and grab her latest free resource: Self Care Strategy Every Christian Woman Needs Today (teaching video and workbook bundle) at somercolbert.com/resources Show Notes: Not everyone is going to mom like you do - the same like you're not going to mom like everyone else - and that doesn't mean that they're better or worse. There will be seasons where you have a lot more ministry inside of your home than outside of your home, however, I am always looking at “what is in my hand right now?” People want to be seen, heard and loved. WE CAN LOVE PEOPLE RIGHT NOW WHERE WE'RE AT AND OPEN THAT CONVERSATION, OPEN THAT DOOR SO THAT JESUS CAN MOVE. HE HAS POSITIONED US IN SO MANY PLACES THAT IF WE OPENED OUR EYES AND LOOKED AND SAW WE WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THERE ARE PEOPLE ALL AROUND US THAT NEED JESUS, THAT NEED HIS TRUTH AND IF WE JUST GAVE SOME LOVE TO THEM IT BECOMES A BRIDGE SO THAT WE CAN TALK ABOUT HIM AT SOME POINT.
