It's Lonely at the Centre of the Earth. On this episode, Matt is joined by writers Tiffany Babb (“Panel x Panel,” Shelfdust) and Ram V (“Paradiso,” “These Savage Shores”) to explore the idea of superheroes as mythology. We’ll be talking about how these larger than life figures evolve and grow over time due to the nature of serialized storytelling. We’ll also be discussing the comics that they love. For Ram, it’s Darwyn Cooke’s wonderful rendition of “Richard Stark’s Parker: The Score,” and for Tiffany, it’s Marvel’s “Journey into Mystery” #645, which rounds off Kieron Gillen’s Young Loki saga.Support That's The Issue by donating to the tip jar: https://tips.pinecast.com/jar/thatstheissueFind out more at https://thatstheissue.pinecast.co

The Black Panther has disappeared, lost on a mission in space. And in his absence, everyone's looking at the next in line for the throne. But Shuri is happiest in a lab, surrounded by gadgets of her own creation. She'd rather be testing gauntlets than throwing them. An old evil now sails aboard a company ship, hoping to make a home in this new found land. But he will soon find that the ground along the Indus is an ancient one with daemons and legends far older than himself.
