***Throwback Episode*** In this episode, we take the Wonderlic Test, the NFL Equivalent of an IQ test taken each year by hundreds of Draft Prospects at the Scouting Combine. The Wonderlic was originally created in 1936 by E. F. Wonderlic. The Wonderlic Personnel Test was the first short-form cognitive abilities test in the areas of math, vocabulary, and reasoning. It's a popular group-intelligence test used to assess the aptitude of prospective employees and applicants for learning and problem-solving in a range of occupations. The Wonderlic is available in 12 different languages and is often used in college, entry level jobs, and team-making efforts. It consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be answered in 12 minutes. We describe the test in detail, take it ourselves, discuss our results afterwards (and which of our scores relate to famous NFL players and occupational median scores), things we would've done differently, and if we feel that it's an accurate assessment of a person's intelligence or not. We also discuss the Wonderlic Test scores of all of last year's Quarterback Draft Class: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen. Take a sample 50-Question, 12-minute Wonderlic Test here and let us know your results! See if you're smarter than all three of us before you listen to the podcast. Think you can score a 50? CFL Scout Russ Lande and RSP author Matt Waldman discuss what they would change about the NFL Combine, share how the deservedly maligned Wonderlic Test can actually have a reasonable purpose for scouting NFL talent, and reflect on players that influenced our scouting of talent. This is a jam-packed show with excellent topics: Why Russ would make the NFL Combine a two-week event to help NFL teams collect the most vital information. Why the gauntlet drill is an outdated workout with only marginal usefulness relative to current technology. The value of the "L" drill for offensive linemen and how Russ learned to tweak it to determine which players have a great mind-motor link. Is there value for the Wonderlic test despite the test being a culturally-biased tool that doesn't appropriately measure the most important forms of intelligence required for on-field play? Surprisingly, there is but many teams still approach the Wonderlic with a complete lack of sophistication. Coaches and scouts have players that influence them for good or for bad. How did Dan Fouts, Leslie O'Neal, Bill "White Shoes" Johnson, and Earnest Byner influence Russ and Matt? Russ's Frank Gore and Edgerrin James stories. Russ and Matt discuss three players that caught their attention this month. Bonus discussion: Is Jake Fromm a starter talent? This was another episode where we could have gone at least another hour. Tiger. Tiger. Tiger. Warriors blow a 31 point lead. We all agree to take the Wonderlic Test next week. We draft our top WWE/WCW wrestlers of all time.
In this episode, we take the Wonderlic Test, the NFL Equivalent of an IQ test taken each year by hundreds of Draft Prospects at the Scouting Combine. The Wonderlic was originally created in 1936 by E. F. Wonderlic. The Wonderlic Personnel Test was the first short-form cognitive abilities test in the areas of math, vocabulary, and reasoning. It is a popular group intelligence test used to assess the aptitude of prospective employees and applicants for learning and problem-solving in a range of occupations. The Wonderlic is available in 12 different languages and is often used in college, entry level jobs, and team-making efforts. It consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be answered in 12 minutes. We describe the test in detail, take the test, discuss our results afterwards (and which of our scores relate to famous NFL players and occupational median scores), things we would've done differently, and if we feel that it is an accurate assessment of a person's intelligence or not. We also discuss the Wonderlic Test scores of all of last year's Quarterback Draft Class: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen. Take a sample 50 Question, 12 minute Wonderlic Test here and let us know your results! See if you're smarter than all 3 of us before you listen to the podcast. Think you can score a 50? In this episode, we talk with Kyle Trimble from BangedUpBills.com to discuss currently injured Bills players, where they are in their rehab, and when we can expect them back on the field. Kyle is a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy), a huge Bills fans and has a lot of great insight into important potential starters in 2019, such as Matt Milano, Taron Johnson, Trent Murphy, Josh Allen, Lesean McCoy, Matt Bodine, and even talk a little bit about the injury history of newly signed G/C Spencer Long. After that, we discuss a few top NFL Draft prospects that have an injury history and could be considered by the Bills, including D.K. Metcalf, LJ Scott, and Bryce Love. I also ask him how important a good Strength and Conditioning Staff is in preventing season-ending injuries and how the Bills staff has done since being hired 2 seasons ago by Sean McDermott. Follow Kyle on Twitter @BangedUpBills Also, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), tell a friend about us, and take a sample Wonderlic Test before our Wonderlic Test episode next week. During a segment from the show on 3/30/18, Jake explains how judging NFL draft prospects based on the Wonderlic test is dumb because there could be different circumstances that lead to a poor score like with what happened to Jake in 10th grade before taking the PSAT.
Yankees opening day was SNOWED out. April 2nd and it's snowing in NYC. Nuckin Futs. 24 days til NFL draft and the Giants today are picking Sam Darnold if Josh Allen goes #1. I wish the Men's CBB final was as riveting as the ND-Miss State game but a man can dream.
The boys are back and bursting with energy! Sister Jean is Alamo bound, and Kip has had enough of her shit (think about the kids y’all). The guys FINALLY took the Wonderlic and the results are shocking!! They talk baseball (kind of), basketball (in their own way), golf, you get the gist. Also, another unfortunate soul has been added to THE LIST! Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE (then unsubscribe and resubscribe, rinse, repeat), RATE (5 STARS ONLY) and REVIEW!! Thanks in advance!!

The NFL Combine is upon us with coaches, scouts and college football players meeting up to decide who will be picked in the next NFL Draft. Part of the Combine requires players to take the Wonderlic test made up of various challenging questions in a timed manner. The average score is 20 and Tom Brady had a score of 33 back in 2000. Hear the guys sweat it out during only 5 questions of the test which is made up of 50.
Barn burner doesn’t do this one justice as the energy is off the charts from the jump (EVEN PHIL). The boys are joined by the newest (and eldest) member of the Hash Sports family, Scott Steehn (a/k/a the Steehnroller). They put a bow on the Olympics (single tear emoji), then try to fix the NCAA (hoops is a mess y’all!). The guys take a deep dive into MLB while they break down down the AL Central and AL West. The shot clock returns, and a great debate develops as to who would score the highest on the Wonderlic Test (since no one even knew how to spell it, let’s just say the jury is still out). Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE, RATE (5 STARS ONLY), and REVIEW! Thanks in advance!!

März an.
The NFL Draft kicks off tonight and the guys sit down with UND draft hopeful Will Ratelle. They tackle a number of topics, including which teams have shown the most interest, the infamous Wonderlic Test, why his devotion to the Green Bay Packers hangs in the balance, which member of UND’s coaching staff he butted heads with the most, why he felt lost during the football program’s coaching change, and which teammate he owned every day in practice. They even put him on the spot about his better half, UND volleyball stud McKenzie Hart. Also, Joe Black’s co-owner and self-professed local NFL Draft expert Joe Schneider pops in for his first visit to talk about the incredible downtown atmosphere during the Frozen Four. We also learn that Haji is breaking up with his Miami Dolphins. Hint: it’s not them, it’s him (okay, it’s them).
Now, here’s a strange name for a very important test! Every year at the NFL Combine, draft prospects learn that there’s nothing wonderful about taking the Wonderlick test - that mandatory and daunting eaxm with a funny sounding & highly intimidating name. That’s because potential NFL players can’t possibly prepare for the Wonderlic’s 12 minute, 50 multiple choice questions. Similar to college SAT exams, the Wonderlic test focuses on math, vocabulary and cognitive reasoning skills….and, ironically, poses no questions having anything whatsoever to do with football. MIKE on sports, sports humor, American sports culture, fun sports facts, sports history, sports stuff you should know, NFL
Kirk Minihane, along with D&C Producers Chris Curtis and Craig Sawisch (Sausage) join Rob Bradford in seeing who can score better on the NFL's pre draft test, The Wonderlic.
