Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist for LPL Financial, says that the current bull market -- coming on the heels of a short, steep recession/bear market at the beginning of the pandemic -- is in its early stages and will roll into 2022 and beyond. He notes that for as long as economic growth and earnings stay strong, buoyed by monetary and fiscal policy tailwinds, 'there's still some time, we think, for this bull market to have some tricks up its sleeves and keep on rolling.' In another Big Interview on today's show, George Milling-Stanley, chief gold strategist at State Street Global Advisors, says that gold has not been a great inflation hedge at a time when investors are worried about the transitory nature of rising prices in large measure because the market doesn't expect inflation to last and has priced that into the metal. That said, Milling-Stanley still made a strong case for the role gold can play in a portfolio now, noting that he thinks this is a time to be loading up. And Tom Lydon, chief executive officer at ETFTrends.com makes a clean-energy index fund his ETF of the Week in light of the recent global summit on climate change.

The Cavs had another growth spurt as they inched closer to respectability with an entertaining victory over the team with the best record in the NBA tonight. Granted, the Milwaukee Bucks were sans their Alpha and Omega, Giannis Antetokounmpo, yet the wine & gold still did what the purple & gold couldn't the night before. For once, the Cavs were the healthier team, as Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Larry Nance, Jr. were all back on the floor... while the Bucks were down to just eight able bodies. Still, it was their fourth straight win at home over a team that's either in or just on the fringe of being in the playoffs. To give some context on where these young Cavaliers are and how they stack up vs. expectations, Nate and EG hopped in the booth for a few measures of time. We got out the yardstick for the Young Bull and his new Cavs rookie record for most consecutive 23 game performances, used a compass and protractor to fully appreciate how well this squad are running their fast breaks lately, and took a look around the Association to see where some old friends might be falling a bit short. We cap it off with everything from the ever expanding MCU to Nate's difficulties crossing the border. The takes are measured... but the clock never is...

It's been an up and down season for Cavs fans, but it's always exciting to see progress from young players... even in a losing effort. Down a couple more hombres, with Rodney Hood gone in a trade to Portland and Cedi Osman out with an ankle sprain, the Cavaliers rode their Young Bull for the first three quarters of their contest against the Boston Celtics. For a change, Collin Sexton looked less like a mechanical bull, and more like a fast and dangerous real life one right out of the chute. The rookie changed speeds and got to the rack with gusto, scoring 27 points (two off his career high). He faded in the fourth, going 0-6 after an 11-18 showing beforehand, but the Cavs almost stole it anyway behind The Bandit (Alec Burks) possible farewell performance for the wine & gold. Nate and EG hung on well past their initial 8 seconds, spending 90 minutes breaking down this one, and then riding on to a variety of other topics. They cover the Lakers getting an epic goring from the Pacers, the absolute rope-a-dope job the Pelicans are doing on Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, and get all tangled up in guessing how the impending trade deadline will go down. We're particularly bullish about bringing a certain patron saint of weirdos back to the Land.

Perrin and Faile's parties make their separate camps. Perrin prepares himself for his own death privately, and enters the Wolf Dream to look for clues about his next step in confronting the Whitecloaks, and how to proceed. Instead he finds Slayer killing wolves in Tel'aran'rhiod, and gives chase. Hopper has some small explanation of who this man is, but leaves Young Bull with more questions than answers. The chase ends with Slayer shifting out of The Dream near the Tower of Ghenjei. This has led many people to think that Slayer entered the tower, but we believe this was simply a ruse to tempt Perrin to enter, never to return. Birgitte appears to warn the young Ta'veren away from the dangerous place. Luckily, Perrin takes her advice. Perrin has been awoken, and warned of an attack by the wolves through is dreams. He can see in the dark, hear, and smell the Shadowspawn wherever they are. They did not come for battle, but to kill.” When the battle is over, and the wolves are hunting the Shadowspawn as they retreat, Rand leaves the camp unnoticed. Mountain wolves are repeatedly trying to warn Young Bull about shadowspawn, he continues to ignore them. The camp is being rebuilt after the earthquake caused by Rand. Leya, one of the Blue Ajah's eyes and ears, was injured giving us a bit of a red herring as far as Min's earlier viewing on her. Leya however, never returns to her wagons. Moiraine seems to know that something is up, and warns the camp to remain vigilant. We hear news about the Hunt for the Horn, an the Whitecloak's movements and actions on the Almoth Plain. We hear our first news of the Greymen searching for Rand, and killing anyone that even looks like him. Some of those deaths might be attributable to soulless men under the command of Jaichim Carridin. BEER in the aftershow. Ingtar knows about Perrin's Talent, but advises him not to tell anyone else; there are some who might misunderstand, despite wolves being considered good luck in the Borderlands. The wolves quickly lead Perrin to the edge of a village the Trollocs have desecrated, and the party is being followed as well, by Verin. Verin tells the hunters that Moiraine had sent her to them; a verifiable lie.
