Den historieintresserade politikern Mats Fält och docenten i historia Håkan Blomqvist har i många år arrangerat Tyresö historiedag för lärare på Tyresö Slott. Vi får höra hur han har utvecklas som tränare de senaste åren. Anton berättar om utmaningarna för två säsonger som AIK hade i grundserien och vad han drog för lärdomar från det. Vi kommer in på spelsystem och hur man sätter det och hur man får spelare att köpa in på sina roller. Anton berättar hur han utvecklar sina spelare till att bli bättre. Hur han förbereder sina spelare mentalt vid viktiga matcher och matcher där man förväntas vinna. Anton pratar om känslor och hur han använder dem i sin roll. Vi pratar om att göra fel och att lära sig från det. Vi kommer in på situationen när Anton tar time out och säger ”spela fult”, ni får höra hans version av det. Jan Blomqvist is part of the legendary electronic music scene in Berlin – but he's also a singer and producer, so his take on techno and house music is more song-oriented than many of his fellow DJs. One thing that sets Blomqvist apart is that he makes music in the studio with an eye towards live performance, earning him a description of “concert techno”. Tom Blomqvist has been one of the quickest drivers in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competing in the top level GTP category. We caught up with him just prior to the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach where he filled us in on his transition from IMSA GTP to the NTT IndyCar Series with Meyer Shank Racing (MSR). It's a fascinating conversation as he candidly talks about the challenges of switching categories and the key differences between the two types of race cars. It's a real insiders look at the technical side of racing in layman's terms. Enjoy! NOTE: At Long Beach, he qualified 15th while his teammate was on pole. Blomqvist finished in 22nd while Rosenqvist finished 9th. Unfortunately for Tom, the opening lap of the Indy 500 saw him spin and crash with other cars involved. After that, he was replaced as a driver on the team. However, the team owners still believed in his immense talent and retained him for the year. Starting this weekend at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, he'll be back behind the wheel of an MSR GTP car looking to score another Rolex 24 win.

Fires in the waste industry are not discussed much unless one sees a giant smoke plume in the media, followed by advice to close your windows. In these (rare?) cases, we remind ourselves of the massive industry related to storing, sorting and recycling garbage, and the obvious environmental hazards such fires pose.From 2017 to 2020, Poland experienced a challenging time with fires at landfills, primarily caused by arson or negligence. A bit later, when I was working on my chapter for the Handbook of Fire and the Environment, I saw Ragni Fjellgaard Mikalsen working on hers about waste fires, and I found that work very relevant and useful. Finally, it is time to dive deeper into the subject, and hence, I have Ragni on the podcast, and we talk about garbage! Her expertise in smouldering fires and collaborations with Norwegian authorities bring invaluable insights into the unique fire risks faced by waste handling, processing, and storage facilities. From outdoor landfills to indoor recycling centres, Ragni shares how accurate fire reporting and comprehensive data analysis can significantly enhance fire safety protocols in this crucial sector. She introduces us to the "traffic light" system to illustrate the risks at different facilities.Balancing ideal waste storage practices with economic realities is no small feat.
