Un informe del diario El Observador denunció este fin de semana la realidad que viven aquellos niños y adolescentes que quedan atrapados en la violencia del narcotráfico y el crimen organizado. El título del trabajo era: Vivir en estado de alerta: cuando los niños son "garantía" en bocas de droga, mulas camino a la escuela y sobreviven entre balazos En pasaje del texto, se señala: “Antes, la presencia del ‘fierro' en manos de un menor solía significar que ya formaba parte de un esquema delictivo en los hechos, que ya estaba bautizado. Hoy, el contacto con las armas es mucho más banal: están allí, forman parte de la vida familiar desde que tienen uso de razón, en ocasiones son ellos los propios encargados de esconderlas cuando hay un allanamiento, en ocasiones son ellos quienes las manipulan sin grandes aspavientos. Empuñar un arma ya no es un rito de paso. El arma no ingresa al hogar. No hay una primera aproximación. Simplemente, allí está. A la mano. En sus manos”, indica un extracto del artículo. A raíz del trabajo periodístico, este martes entrevistamos En Perspectiva a Mariela Solari, directora de la Unidad de la Unidad de Víctimas y Testigos de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, para profundizar sobre esta problemática social que afecta a la infancia. En un momento del reportaje Solari reflexionó sobre la naturalización de la violencia que afecta a estos menores de edad: “Nosotros venimos planteando desde el año pasado la exposición a la crueldad. Que una niña de tres años vea como le amputan la mano a su mamá y la deje sin habla durante meses. O una niña pequeña que vea como asesinan a balazos a su papá y sienta que tiene la sangre en la cara…” Sobre las consecuencias de esta clase de vivencias, Solari usó incluso el término de “infancias y adolescencias rotas”: “Me parece que es importante que la sociedad uruguaya haga eco de que no son los niños de otros. Son los niños de nuestra sociedad uruguaya. Son niños tan pequeños…Los niños en el entorno que crecen es en el entorno de descubrimiento y aprendizaje. No pueden discernir si esto que ven es un juego…Lo que sienten es miedo. Por eso lo del estado de alerta. Y vivir en estado de alerta no te permite que tu cerebro pueda descubrir cómo tenés que descubrir cuando sos niño. Con tranquilidad, ¿no?...” ¿Qué sensación les provocó a los tertulianos el artículo de El Observador? ¿Qué sintieron al ver estos casos contados de forma tan cruda y explícita? La Tertulia de los Miércoles con Ana Laura Pérez, Carina Novarese, Marcos Casas y Martín Moraes.

La bala entra por la espalda, se queda alojada ahí dentro. Balacera contra una casa en Maracaná, mueren varios, muere él, de once. Un año, Cerro Norte, dos balas calibre 5.56 que perforan el tórax, un tiro más que va a parar al glúteo derecho. Muere”. El texto que acabo de leer forma parte de un trabajo periodístico que se publicó este fin de semana en El Observador, escrito por Tomer Urwicz y Emanuel Breimerman. El título del informe es: Vivir en estado de alerta: cuando los niños son "garantía" en bocas de droga, mulas camino a la escuela y sobreviven entre balazos. El reportaje presenta un relato desolador sobre la realidad de niños y adolescentes atrapados en medio de la violencia del narcotráfico o el crimen organizado. Brinda detalles de casos específicos y gráfica una realidad muy cruda, que, sin embargo, es lo cotidiano para numerosos menores de edad. Entre las varias repercusiones de la nota, Mariela Solari, directora de Unidad de Víctimas de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, escribió en sus redes sociales: “Muy doloroso de leer. A diario acompañamos infancias y adolescencias rotas. Es posible reparar pero debe ser un imperativo ético y de derechos que la infancia sea prioridad para que esto no suceda”.
