A difficult financial outlook has got even tougher for Rachel Reeves in recent days, so what is happening to the UK economy, and just how difficult will things get for the Chancellor with the next OBR forecast and the spending review looming? To take a deeper look at what is fuelling the current market turmoil, and ask whether things really are as bad as during the Liz Truss era, host Alain Tolhurst is joined by Dr Isabel Stockton, senior research economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, as well as the Labour MP and member of the Treasury select committee, Jeevun Sandher, and Cameron Brown, a former Treasury special adviser under the last Conservative government. What did you think? Text us! We are unable to reply, so include phone # or email address. In this episode, Rev. Adrian Crum, associate pastor at Harvest OPC in Wyoming, MI sits down with two of his deacons, Lynne Hunter and Cameron Brown to talk about the why and how of Harvest's newly constructed Elderly Committee or HARPs Group (Harvest Association of Retired Presbyterians.)Lynne says, "Part of it was that we had, or have, a number of elderly folk that have no family and we were getting called in to help these people navigate murky waters. They could no longer live by themselves, and we were getting asked well, 'how can we help them?' And that's when we started exploring what we are supposed to do and what is our responsibility as deacons? And that was kind of some of the catalyst when we found that folder and started perusing through that and saying, okay, here's some good ideas, but it still doesn't give us the total answer. Now, we still don't have a total answer, but we're working on it." “I want to make an emotional experience every time someone comes into my gym”. Cale and Mike are joined by a very special guest…7 figure gym owner, Cameron Brown. Get to know him and how transforming his body and life led to opening up his first warehouse gym. Like most entrepreneurs he didn't have an easy time making his way to the top. Now, he uses human psychology to get to the root of why people show up at his gym to make a transformation.
In 2020 a former builder called Jon Andrewes told staggering lies on his CV to become a top NHS boss for some 12 years. Contrary to our beliefs, that lies can go unnoticeable on CVs, lies on a CV is considered to be ‘CV fraud', and a crime that can be punishable with large fines, or even a prison sentence! In this interesting and informative episode, Hatti Suvari speaks with the senior Barrister Cameron Brown KC who successfully prosecuted the case. Do not miss out on listening to how the case in Court went down, as they discuss the details of how Andrewes came in to this high-profile position; how he eventually got found out and prosecuted, and as always, much more in plain and simple English.

NFL draft week has arrived. We're just one day away from finding out which teams will draft C.J. Stroud, Paris Johnson Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njigba and perhaps Dawand Jones. Over the next three days, 259 players will be drafted, and at least seven Buckeyes are likely to be among those who get that call, while numerous others are also likely to sign with teams shortly after the draft as undrafted free agents. This week's show is all about the Buckeyes in the draft as we talk about why teams shouldn't be worried about Stroud's ability to read defenses and process information, predict where Stroud and the rest of the Buckeyes will end up and discuss some of the draft-related milestones Ohio State could achieve this weekend. At the end of the show, we also spend a few minutes talking about a quiet start of the post-spring transfer window for Ohio State – both in terms of incoming and outgoing activity – and three players who have emerged as transfer targets for the Buckeyes. (This episode was recorded before Caleb Burton entered the transfer portal.)The full rundown for this week's episode: 0:42: Ohio State will have at least three first-round NFL draft picks, maybe four with Dawand Jones 4:58: It's looking like C.J. Stroud won't go second, but someone (Titans?) will likely trade up to take him third 7:56: Despite the narratives, Stroud was great at reading defenses and plenty coachable at Ohio State 15:35: In one scenario, Paris Johnson Jr. could be the first Buckeye drafted – but he'll likely be the second 17:54: Jaxon Smith-Njigba is WR1 and could go anywhere between 10th and 15th (if not higher) 22:46: Luke Wypler looks like a solid third-round pick with the potential to go late in Round 2 23:54: Zach Harrison's upside could get him into Round 2, but questions about fit could push him into Round 3 27:45: Ronnie Hickman's draft projections have run the gamut, but Round 6 feels like his landing spot 30:44: Tanner McCalister is Dan's pick to be Ohio State's eighth and final draft pick in 2023 31:51: Cameron Brown's injury history, disappointing 40 time could keep him from being drafted 33:16: Taron Vincent never quite did enough at Ohio State to become a sure-fire draft pick 36:20: Mitch Rossi is a real sleeper to make an NFL roster even though he'll probably go undrafted 41:08: The most ideal team fits for Ohio State draft prospects 42:55: C.J. Stroud could be Ohio State's highest-drafted quarterback ever, or at least tie that mark 44:12: Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be OSU's third Round 1 WR in two years (with more to come next year) 45:20: Three offensive line draft picks for the first time since 2004 should help Ohio State's recruiting 46:04: Ohio State will have at least six picks for the eighth straight year – and could have six top-100 picks 49:15: It's more surprising Ohio State has lost almost no transfers than Ohio State adding no transfers yet 50:36: Lorenzo Styles seems likely to be a Buckeye, especially since he's planning to play cornerback 54:30: Tywone Malone would be a depth piece at defensive tackle, at least for this season 56:20: Ohio State hosting San Diego State's Josh Simmons in pursuit for a transfer offensive tackle

It's tax season! We're talking with Cameron Brown, founder of Darien Advisors - crypto tax consultants. He describes himself as the degen accountant, and they've dealt with a ton of actual crypto situations with the IRS, in a space that feels like everything is the wild west. I thought it would be fun to pick his brain about all the different things in crypto, and what the IRS has to say about them - tokens, staking, P2E, NFTs, all of it. Let us know what you think! As always, we want to stress that nothing in this is financial investment advice. Our goal with these conversations is to give everyone listening one more tool in their belt to utilize while they do their own research about DeFi projects & the space in general.House Of Obsidian Discord: https://discord.gg/obsidiansObsidian Twitter: https://twitter.com/ObsidianCouncilObsidian's website: https://www.obsidianfi.com/Weekly Crypto News: https://medium.com/@obsidiancouncilocFind our speakers this week:Guest: Cameron Brown / Darien Advisors - https://twitter.com/Darien_AdvisorsHost: Matthew Walker, https://www.instagram.com/hawaiianmint/ --- https://twitter.com/hawaiianmintShoutout to our editor, hansalord for the excellent work!

Current and former Ohio State football players will both be back on the football field over the next seven days. The 2023 Ohio State football team will take the field for its first practice of the year on Tuesday when the Buckeyes will hold their first of 15 spring practices at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Before then, eight members of the 2022 Ohio State football team will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, where workouts will be held Thursday through Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. There's no shortage of storylines entering this year's spring practices, and we start this week's episode of Real Pod Wednesdays by previewing the ones that we'll be most focused on when spring ball opens next week. After that, we discuss our expectations for all eight of Ohio State's participants in this year's NFL Combine – C.J. Stroud, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Paris Johnson Jr., Dawand Jones, Luke Wypler, Zach Harrison, Cameron Brown and Ronnie Hickman – and what we think they can accomplish this week. The full rundown for this week's show: 2:09: There are a lot more depth chart questions entering this spring than there were last spring 4:47: Why the offensive line is the No. 1 area we'll have our eye on next week 7:58: Competition in the secondary is the No. 2 thing we'll be watching as spring begins 9:32: We don't expect to see many defensive scheme changes this spring – at least not while the media is watching 13:51: Jermaine Mathews, Carnell Tate and Noah Rogers among early enrollees we'll be watching closely 16:54: Davison Igbinosun, Victor Cutler are transfers we'll be watching most closely this spring 19:45: Jayden Ballard, Zen Michalski, Gee Scott Jr., Cameron Martinez among veterans who need big springs 28:09: C.J. Stroud can make his case for QB1 with a great throwing session and a good 40 time 32:36: Paris Johnson Jr. should excel both in combine workouts and team interviews 34:17: Jaxon Smith-Njigba and his 40 time may be the most interesting combine storyline among Buckeyes 37:24: Zach Harrison's draft stock will soar if he can run as fast as he did in high school 38:26: Dawand Jones' size is obvious, but combine will be a good litmus test of his athleticism 41:00: Cameron Brown will look to back up his talk about how fast he can run 43:58: Luke Wypler is the favorite to have the best bench press performance among Buckeyes 45:06: Ronnie Hickman could use a strong combine showing to get momentum back on his side 46:43: Taron Vincent is Ohio State's most surprising combine snub 49:01: Ohio State men's basketball finally won a game, and the freshman class (especially Bruce Thornton) is building momentum 56:37: That momentum will mean more if Brice Sensabaugh returns for another year – and there's some talk he could 59:57: Outlook for Ohio State women's basketball entering the Big Ten Tournament

Ohio State is fairly banged up through five games, which is to be expected when playing a violent sport like football. But are the Buckeyes beginning to get healthier overall as a team? You could make that argument, but there are also several players whose statuses remain up in the air as OSU heads to Michigan State on Saturday (4 p.m. ET; ABC). Head coach Ryan Day said he is hoping that Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cameron Brown and TreVeyon Henderson will play against the Spartans. He also mentioned Jordan Hancock is back practicing at full speed, but they are going to be cautious with him and hold him out until at least after the bye week next week. Kourt Williams has been able to play a little bit, but defensive coordinator Jim Knowles mentioned on Tuesday that Williams is banged up and they need to get him fully healthy. Speaking of Knowles, entering the season Day said his expectation was for the Buckeyes to have a top-10 defense. Well, guess what? Ohio State is ranked exactly 10th in the country in total defense. How 'bout that? Also, what do we think of the matchup against Michigan State with OSU favored by 26.5 points? All of that and much more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish as Dave Biddle flies solo.
