Quite a day yesterday as Liz Cheney and Hillary Clinton surface - each screeching from their political ash heap about the dangers that await us if Jim Jordan becomes the next Speaker of the House and/or Donald Trump becomes the president. A new poll confirms the issues are solidly behind Republicans all the way. Biden is allegedly kicking the crap out of his dog at the White House. And the Nobel Prize has been awarded to two Penn scientists who are credited with developing the COVID shot. Dr. Robert Malone - credited with the science that laid the groundwork for their shot development explains what this award means, and then a very interesting discussion ensues about the trustworthiness of your own family doctor that you need to hear. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Much of Maui has been decimated following one of the deadliest wildfires in U.S. history, wildfires are still ravaging Canada, ice in the arctic is melting rapidly, sea levels are rising and we've had the hottest day measured on our planet this year. There's a lot happening as it relates to climate change. “It's not the summer from hell, it's the summer that sort of is hell,” says our guest this week. Bill McKibben is an environmentalist, educator, author and founder of Third Act, which has a mission to organize people over the age of 60 for action on climate and justice. He's also a founder of 350.org, the first global grassroots climate campaign. His 1989 book, “The End of Nature” is regarded as the first book for a general audience about climate change. McKibben recently wrote a piece for the New Yorker titled, “To Save the Planet, Should We Really Be Moving Slower?,” which talks about the degrowth movement, which calls on countries to embrace zero or negative G.D.P. growth, making a comeback. He joins WITHpod to discuss the growth debates of the 70s vs. contemporary ones, parallels between protecting the planet and our democracy, why this moment is such an inflection point and more.

While addressing the press, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy implored residents to remain in doors as the state deals with smoke from wildfires in Alberta, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. During his CNN town hall on Wednesday night, host Dana Bash argued with Republican presidential candidate Mike Pence after he stated that irreversible “gender affirming” surgeries should not be performed on children. Retired New Jersey Police Officer Joseph Valdora joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the need for a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to the pensions of police officers in the state. Hour 1: The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are merging. PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan looks like a total hypocrite today. Boomer said LIV Golf was going to be out of business in 2-3 years. Boomer said they are going to need to make whole PGA players that did not go to LIV for the big money, but Gio said there is no way they can make up that money. Gio said nobody will care by next year and we'll all be happy to be watching the best golfers all playing together again. Gio thinks the NBA could be next for a LIV golf situation. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first we talk about him going bald. Jerry has audio from Jay Monahan talking to Jim Nantz from not long ago talking about families of 9/11 and LIV golf. He looks like a total hypocrite. Boomer thinks he needs to resign. He saved the PGA Tour but he needs to leave. The Mets lost to the Braves in Atlanta even though they were up 4-1 at one point. John Sterling was back in the Yankees broadcast booth. The Yankees lost to the White Sox 3-2. Jacob de Grom will need season ending Tommy John surgery. It will be his second. Bills Safety Damar Hamlin was a full participant in OTAs. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the reactions in the golf world to the PGA and LIV merger. Hour 2: We talked more about the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV golf. This seemed to have come out of the blue and many people involved seemed surprised by this, including the golfers. How will the PGA Tour work the LIV golfers back into their tour? A caller said this reminds him of the Godfather, saying ‘it's business'. A caller doesn't think this can happen in another sport like the NBA because of contracts. A caller who visits Saudi Arabia for business said there are tons of American companies there. You can go to McDonald's or the Cheesecake Factory there. He also said the Saudis are the largest investor in Uber and we still take Ubers. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Jay Monahan and Yasir Al Rumayyan on CNBC yesterday. Brandel Chamblee expressed his disapproval on the Golf Channel. The Yankees lost to the White Sox as John Sterling was back in the radio booth. Seby Zavala hit 2 HRs for the Sox. Jacob de Grom needs season ending Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career and he was quite upset talking to reporters. Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel talked about the success of the Miami Heat. In the final segment of the hour, Boar's Head dropped off some sandwiches and we took calls on LIV golf merging with the PGA Tour. Hour 3: Gio is locked in to playing golf these days. His competitive juices are back ever since he won the Biggest Loser of Sayville contest. We took calls on the LIV Golf merger with the PGA Tour. The PGA Tour people look like hypocrites, but they are a lot richer now. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from yesterday's news conference with Jay Monahan talking about the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV golf. Unnamed golfers are saying he needs to step down now. The Mets lost down in Atlanta and didn't do much on offense. Aaron Judge was put on the IL with his toe injury. Jacob de Grom needs Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career and he was quite upset talking to reporters. It reminds us of Chris Carlin crying while saying goodbye to the show, ‘Loud Mouths'. The Jets canceled mini-camp next week because they are playing in the Hall of Fame game and he wants the players to have a break. In the final segment of the hour, Spike seemed like he was moping when he came in today. Boomer wonders if Gen Z is phasing out liverwurst. Gio wonders how the baloney business is. We talked about the Oscar Mayer Hour 4: NY Post columnist Mark Cannizzaro joins us in the studio. He covered the Jets when Boomer was the QB and they had some run ins. He also covers golf so he was all in on coverage of the PGA Tour and LIV golf merging. Mark tells us what he thinks happened to make the deal come to fruition. Mark thinks the golf fans are winners in this situation because we want all of the best golfers playing against each other. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from yesterday's announcement that LIV golf and the PGA Tour were going to merge. The Mets lost to the Braves in Atlanta even though they had a 4-1 lead. The Yankees were no hit through six innings and lost to the White Sox. John Sterling was back in the broadcast booth.
