This week on Sibling Watchery, Bob and Naomi break down the All Stars 10 finale, where a new queen is inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. They debate whether winning Drag Race holds more weight than winning All Stars, and if lipsync success depends on the song or your opponent. They question if Lydia is taking her drag mother too seriously, whether “Let's wake it up” is truly Mistress's catchphrase, and if Bosco is the only queen who can really challenge her. From Ru's dress color mystery to a surprising “Rate a Queen” ranking, they unpack every moment—including Kerri Colby's return, lip sync highlights, the Mollywoop of the season, and Bob's three golden rules for a reveal. Before a song is released, a record is produced, or a chorus is written, the musicians that write them think. A lot. They live. A lot. And they feel. A LOT. Hosted by award-winning interviewer Sofia Loporcaro, Before the Chorus explores the genuine human experiences behind the music. Sofia's deep knowledge of music and personal journey with mental health help her connect with artists on a meaningful level. This is a space where fans connect with artists, and listeners from all walks of life feel seen through the stories that shape the music we love. About the host: Sofia Loporcaro is an award-winning interviewer and radio host who's spent over 8 years helping musicians share their stories. She's hosted shows for Amazing Radio, and Transmission Roundhouse. Now on Before the Chorus, she's had the chance to host guests like Glass Animals, Feist, Madison Cunningham, Mick Jenkins, & Ru Paul's Drag Race winner Shea Couleé. Learn more about your ad choices. Mostly seven but briefly eight queens make it through to a final lip sync battle for the crown and the cash. Kerri hosts the viewing party as Irene is teleported back to Mars, Sister Mary Aja does her little walk and Daya wagon wheel watusis away against her Seattle sister. Lydia puts her whole butthole into Shakira and Bosco attempts to raise her glass above Ginger's outstretched arms, but this Weather Girls final lip sync was essentially forecasted. Despite Jorgeous's reign as Mommy's Favorite, after ten years and four tries it was finally time for a, well, former big girl to win.Become a Matreon at the Sister Mary level to get full access to bonus episodes including brackets, movie reviews and past seasons of US Drag Race, UK, Canada, Down Under, Espana, Global All Stars, Philippines and more.Join us at our OnlyMary's level for our recap of Season 5 of Drag Race plus even more movie reviews, brackets, and deep dives into our personal lives!Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmaryEmail: alrightmarypodcast@gmail.comInstagram: @alrightmarypodJohnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram)Colin: @colindrucker_ (Instagram)Web: www.alrightmary.com
We're finishing our conversation about Drag Race Down Under Season 2, a season that got better as it went along. We start with the banger girl group song Bosom Buddies, the lingering evil energy that remained in the room after Minnie left the competition, like a fart in the room. We talked about the difference of these teams, their energies in the challenge and on the runways, confident and joyous but bad dancing, and the strange runway prompt of belts, buckles, and chains. We talked about the growing tension between Beverly and Kween, and how that storyline inevitably resolves, Hannah's crazy hometown performance, the makeover challenge, and the charming finale!Twitch

This week, we're covering episode 4, and we must have all memory-holed this one, because we had all completely forgot it existed and, quite frankly, it just might be the worst episode of Drag Race ever. Of course, we are talking about the dreaded "Trump: The Rusical." So come for the weak satirization of modern history's greatest existential threat to the entire planet and stay for the absolutely hideous all-orange runway! The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamo
The break-up was rough, but looking around the house, the realization hit me: enough time had passed. The house felt hollow, the memories mere echoes as the walls finally exhaled. It was time for a new beginning. A new dawn that can only commence at the ultimate church of eclectic, spirited commerce: World Market. I started small—replacing our antique China with vivid Moroccan flatware that seemed kissed by the sun, swapping the boring coffee table with a teakwood piece who's carved inlays most assuredly had stories to tell. The sleek, curated house slowly gave way to joyous chaos and vibrant international hues: I bought handwoven baskets from Chile, glass incense holders from Bangkok, a wine decantor shaped like a pineapple that said, "Why am I shaped like a pineapple? Let me counter your inquiry with one of my own: why are you shaped like a human?" One night, while nestled snuggly on the Brazilian velvet sectional under the glow of a copper Turkish lantern, I laughed—genuinely, stupidly, fully—for the first time in months. Healing, it turns out, doesn't always mean moving on; sometimes it means turning your break-up into a credit card-fueld World Market fever dream. (featuring occasional forays into movies, television shows, and air-conditioning) The New York Times called them models, moguls, actors, influencers, drag queens, RuPaul's Drag Race contestants, and even humanoids. If one thing can be said about these two preternaturally gorgeous queens' podcast, it's that Trixie and Katya find the sheer, unadulterated beauty of pure insanity. Tune in every week to experience the auditory pleasure that is The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya. #TrixieMattel #KatyaZamo #BaldBeautiful Learn more about your ad choices. Original Air Date: January 17, 2018 Enjoy this episode, specially selected for our Super Soul Summer—a series celebrating some of the greatest Super Soul moments and messages to inspire and uplift your spirit. Underneath his over-the-top hair, makeup and outfits, RuPaul Charles believes that at the core “we're born naked and the rest is drag.” It's a radical way of interpreting who we are, but whatever we claim as our identity is considered our drag, he says. A pop culture fixture since the early 90s, RuPaul has preached a gospel of self-love and tolerance that has permeated American culture. Now more popular than ever, thanks to the success of his Emmy-award winning competition show “RuPaul's Drag Race,” RuPaul shares what he believes is the authentic meaning of “identity,” and how we can all see past the stereotypes and labels to discover true connection with those around us.
