A taste, a smell, a place, a song — something dormant rises suddenly from the depths. The Vedic tradition calls this Udīpana — stimuli that transport you. But where? Raghunath and Kaustubha explore that question through Proust's famous Madeleine moment and Akrūra finding Krishna's footprints in the cowherd pasture — the footprints whose pure dust the rulers of the planets hold on their crowns. This is a shadow world — it has the imprints of the real world but can't give you what the real world gives. The senses have the power to transport you. The question is always: where are they directed? Srimad Bhagavatam 10.38.15-39 ******************************************************************** LOVE THE PODCAST? Brian welcomes Craig and Paul of Penn-Ohio Cryptid Research to share the experiences that pulled them into the world of Bigfoot investigation and the strange encounters that have kept them searching. Paul's fascination began after watching The Legend of Boggy Creek in 1972, while Craig's interest was sparked by the famous Patterson-Gimlin film. What began as curiosity eventually turned into hands-on field research across Pennsylvania and Ohio.Their investigations have produced some unsettling moments. During one of their first outings on private property, Craig and Paul spotted brilliant amber eyeshine near a creek before a large rock suddenly landed between them. They took the hint and left the area. On another investigation, they discovered a series of nearly 14-inch, five-toed footprints with an unusual deformity in the left foot and an estimated 54-inch stride. The tracks were found near a massive A-frame log structure positioned along a cliff, adding another layer of mystery to the site.Craig and Paul also discuss recordings they have collected in the field, including wood knocks, whoops, whistles, and a terrifying scream that appeared to come from the hillside above them. Other incidents include red eyeshine spotted high in a tree, repeated rock throwing, twisted saplings, a freshly snapped living tree, unexplained equipment failures, foul odors, unusual lights and silhouettes captured on trail cameras, and a strange phenomenon in which portions of the surrounding landscape appeared to glow. The conversation also explores several compelling eyewitness accounts, including a daytime sighting of a tall, brownish-gray figure in Pennsylvania's Cook Forest, a hunter's story of seeing what he believed was a Bigfoot carrying a deer, and eerie photographs showing unexplained shadows and what appear to be visible eyes. Craig and Paul even describe hearing distant giggling in the woods, raising the possibility that younger or juvenile Sasquatch could have been nearby.Despite the unusual nature of their experiences, Craig and Paul stress the importance of skepticism, careful investigation, and allowing the evidence to speak for itself. They also explain why they protect the exact locations of their research sites, both to respect private property and to reduce the possibility of hoaxing or contamination. To follow their investigations, evidence, and upcoming fieldwork, listeners can find Penn-Ohio Cryptid Research on Facebook.Penn Ohio Cryptid Research Facebook PageEmail BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? In this episode of Sasquatch Odyssey, Brian welcomes Carl from Maine, whose lifelong fascination with Bigfoot took a much darker turn after he moved from Hawaii to southwest Utah in 2017. Living near Dixie National Forest and becoming involved in local church leadership brought Carl into contact with people who had their own unsettling stories, including Bigfoot researcher Jack McCarty.Carl describes being shown unusual evidence from the area, including an enormous 24-inch track with an estimated 60-inch stride that appeared to cross a barbed-wire fence before abruptly ending in the middle of a snow-covered meadow. He also recalls seeing a massive handprint pressed into damp dust, complete with what appeared to be visible fingernails.Around the same time, he overheard local ranchers quietly discussing something killing calves during drought cycles and heard a trusted acquaintance from church describe a huge figure crossing Highway 18 near Dammeron. Then Carl had an encounter of his own. At dusk, he spotted two towering beings near the roadside with faces he describes as disturbingly human yet chimp-like. What stayed with him was not only what he saw, but the overwhelming fear that followed and an intrusive thought that seemed to enter his mind: “You're not supposed to see me.”That experience forced Carl to reconsider everything he believed about Sasquatch. Rather than viewing the phenomenon as simply an undiscovered flesh-and-blood animal, he began questioning whether something stranger—and possibly malevolent—might be involved. His conclusions also brought new meaning to an earlier encounter experienced by his brother at a Scout camp, an event Carl believes profoundly changed the course of his brother's life.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Send us Fan MailOne late-night scroll can turn into a career-ending workplace mistake. We're unpacking a 2026 Sixth Circuit decision, Crisp v Scioto Ambulance District, that tackles a modern temptation: finding a coworker's adult content online and bringing it into the office to “prove” a point. The court's bottom line is as uncomfortable as it is clear: introducing sexually explicit images into the workplace can create a hostile environment and can be grounds for termination, even if the images were publicly available on the internet. We walk through the timeline from the earliest harassment allegations to a disturbing on-shift escalation, then the employer's bafflingly weak response that leaves the target feeling unprotected. That pressure builds until a moment that changes everything: a warning to new hires becomes “receipts,” and those receipts are nude photos pulled from FetLife. From there, we dig into why the retaliation claim fails under Title VII, how the McDonnell Douglas framework works when there's no direct evidence, and why the court says protected opposition to harassment doesn't give you a free pass to break other core workplace rules. We also tackle the argument everyone hears now: “But it was public online.” The court rejects that logic and draws a firm boundary between digital private life and professional workplace expectations, using language that sticks: some things must be left unseen at work. If you're an employee trying to report harassment, or an employer trying to manage risk across Slack, Teams, and social media spillover, this case is a must-know roadmap. Type of Loss: Neonatal LossMore about this story: In this episode, we talk with Tabbitha as she shares the story of her son, Rosco Mack, and the unimaginable loss that forever changed her family's life. After a healthy pregnancy and normal delivery, Rosco was born on June 28, 2019. Just moments after his birth, complications from meconium aspiration led to a heartbreaking fight for his life. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, Rosco died just one hour after he was born.Tabbitha courageously reflects on those first devastating days, the loneliness that followed, and how the well-intentioned words of others often couldn't reach the depth of her grief. It wasn't until she connected with another bereaved parent and found the support of Emma's Footprints that she began to realize she didn't have to carry her loss alone.

What waits beyond the tree line—and how much evidence would it take to make you believe? BZ and Bumpstock Ken join Rick Robinson for a lively, open-minded exploration of Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and the creatures humans have reported across generations and cultures. The panel examines the Patterson-Gimlin film, Dr. Jeff Meldrum's work on footprints and primate locomotion, citizen-led research, Indigenous traditions, famous hoaxes, unexplained howls, and personal encounters—including BZ's possible sighting of a juvenile Sasquatch near California's Clear Lake. With plenty of humor but no shortage of serious questions, the discussion separates credible investigation from attention-seeking fakery and asks whether our fear of Bigfoot is really a fear of admitting how much remains unknown.

What if one of history's oldest and most mysterious secrets has been hiding in plain sight?Footprints of the Gods explores the fascinating and controversial phenomenon of polydactylism—the presence of extra fingers or toes—and its mysterious connection to ancient civilizations, myths, and human origins. Across cultures and centuries, references to extra digits appear in Sumerian texts, biblical accounts, folklore, and indigenous traditions, often linked to giants, gods, and the earliest humans.Authors Jim Vieira and Greg Maestro take readers on a compelling investigative journey, uncovering evidence from ancient artifacts, rock art, and historical narratives that challenge conventional views of our past. With meticulous research and a fresh perspective, they reveal patterns that suggest this unusual genetic trait may hold deeper significance than previously believed.Blending archaeology, history, and alternative research, this thought-provoking book invites readers to question long-held assumptions and reconsider humanity's origins. Whether you're fascinated by ancient mysteries, hidden history, or unexplained phenomena, Footprints of the Gods offers a captivating and eye-opening exploration that will leave you thinking long after the final page.JIM VIEIRA is a stonemason, researcher and writer. As well as exploring and writing about the stone sites of New England, he has written for Ancient American magazine, The Heretic (UK) and local newspapers. In 2012 he created the online blog The Daily Giant that showcased a giant report every day for nearly two years. On the morning of February 9, 1855, residents across Devon, England awoke to a baffling sight. Strange hoof-like footprints stretched through fresh snow for miles, appearing in dozens of towns and villages. According to contemporary reports, the tracks crossed walls, rooftops, frozen rivers, and other obstacles, fueling rumors that the Devil himself had walked the countryside overnight.Nearly 200 years later, the Devil's Footprints remain one of history's most enduring unsolved mysteries.Get Lunatics Merch here. In this first installment of the Sasquatch Unleashed, I take you all the way back to where my obsession began. The pine woods of north Georgia, the campfire stories my dad's hunting buddies traded after dark, and the tale of a ginseng hunter named Mr. Brown who came face to face with something eight feet tall and reeking of death in Jenkins Gap.I share my own encounter too, the day at twelve years old when something I still can't explain ran me out of the woods and set me on the path that eventually became Sasquatch Odyssey. From there we dig into the real meat of the phenomenon. I walk through the evidence that keeps me in this fight, from the eyewitness accounts and the footprints with their telltale mid-tarsal break to the disputed hair samples, the Sierra Sounds recordings, the Patterson-Gimlin film, the Paul Freeman footage, and the strange partial body cast pulled from a muddy wallow near Mount Adams. We get into tree breaks and stick structures, what the known great apes actually build, and the deep divide between those of us who see a flesh-and-blood animal and those who chase high strangeness. I lay out my two best suspects from the fossil record, Gigantopithecus and Australopithecus, and revisit the crippled tracks that turned up around Bossburg. Then I carry you into the history that came long before the cameras ever rolled. The indigenous traditions that named this creature across the Pacific Northwest, the early explorers who found giant tracks pressed into the snow, and the chilling account a future president, Theodore Roosevelt, recorded in his own hunting memoir. The story of a trapper named Bauman, and a night in a lonely mountain pass that ended in something no one could explain.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? A true lasting legacy isn't that people remember us; it's that people know God because of us. In this episode, Brian welcomes Kyle back to the show for a raw, boots-on-the-ground conversation about Kyle's new venture, Backcountry Bigfoot, a YouTube channel built around the real-life experience of Sasquatch research in the wild. Rather than presenting a polished, overly produced version of the subject, Kyle explains that his goal is to bring viewers directly into the backcountry with him, capturing the everyday reality of expeditions, campfire conversations, tree breaks, footprints, strange sounds, unexpected moments, and the humor, exhaustion, awe, and uncertainty that come with searching for Sasquatch in some of the most active wilderness areas he has worked.Kyle shares how Backcountry Bigfoot came together, including Brian's role in helping him land on the name and shape the idea into something that could become more than just a channel. He talks about wanting to fully immerse himself in filming, editing, guiding, and documenting his research, even though it is all new territory for him. The heart of the project is authenticity: walking through the woods, talking through evidence as it is found, sitting around the fire after a long day, and giving viewers the kind of raw access that many people will never be able to experience in person. The conversation moves into Kyle's research area near Radium, where Brian previously spent time in the field and had experiences that left a lasting impression. They discuss the remote journey into the area, the powerful feeling of being truly away from civilization, and the kind of activity reported there, including rock throwing, wood knocks, strange vocalizations, “samurai chatter,” trailer movement, eerie night walks, and multiple alleged Sasquatch sightings. Kyle also recounts several personal and witnessed encounters, including his father seeing a Sasquatch near camp and a guest watching one cross a trail just as darkness settled in.A major part of the discussion focuses on the evidence found throughout the area, especially the overwhelming number of tree breaks and the unusual footprints preserved in the thick mossy substrate. Kyle explains how the moss reacts to normal human traffic compared with the deep impressions he believes were left by extremely heavy beings, some lasting for years because the moss is crushed, torn, and effectively killed in the shape of a foot. Brian reflects on how difficult it is to appreciate the scale and strangeness of the tree breaks without seeing them firsthand, especially when they appear high off the ground, methodically broken, and far beyond what an average person could reproduce.Brian and Kyle also revisit some of the most memorable locations from the expedition, including the area known as Pinner Playground, a strange section of forest filled with unusual stick formations, teepee-like structures, possible trackways, and an energy that both men describe as hard to explain. They also discuss the discovery of a massive structure involving enormous trees placed against an ancient tree deep in an area where machinery could not realistically access, raising more questions than answers about how it could have been made.Back Country Bigfoot YouTube ChannelEmail BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? The early modern period was a rocky time for religion across Europe, fundamental pinnings of everyday life were being questioned and changing, as the reformation shifted authority away from the church. Thoughts on death and the afterlife were turned upside down, and in villages across England, restless spirits were making a comeback. To confront these supernatural intruders, communities turned to their local clergy to carry out the practice of ghost-laying, an exorcism ritual that sought to bind and banish the dead. At least, that's what Victorian authors would have liked to believe. Part religion, part folklore, and part fear, the subject of ghost-laying is fairly well complicated, and defining just how much of it is actually true, even more so. SOURCES Walsh, Brendan C. In this challenging episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad Lowe dives into James chapter 2 and asks a question many Christians would rather avoid: If someone looked at your life, would they actually see your faith—or only hear about it?Brad explores the difference between talking about faith and living it, reminding listeners that real faith always produces action. Using James 2:17, he explains that while good works don't save us, genuine faith inevitably leaves evidence behind.Brad unpacks the danger of “fake faith”—the kind that offers thoughts and prayers but never steps in to help, talks about loving people while ignoring those in need, and knows all the right church language without showing the character of Jesus. With his signature humor and honesty, he challenges listeners to move beyond inspirational posts, worship playlists, and Bible app streaks and start living out what they claim to believe. The episode features the remarkable true story of Edward Kimball, an ordinary Sunday school teacher whose simple act of obedience led him to share the Gospel with a young shoe store employee named Dwight L. Moody. That one conversation eventually impacted millions of people around the world, proving that faithfulness in small moments can have eternal consequences.Through practical challenges and pointed questions, Brad encourages listeners to stop asking, “What do I believe?” and start asking, “What am I doing because I believe it?” The episode concludes with a powerful reminder that the greatest sermon many people will preach this week won't be with their words—it will be with their actions.
In this latest installment of The Bigfoot Inquiry, Brian and Dr. Hogan Sherrow dive into one of the most important conversations in modern Sasquatch research: Occam's Razor, parsimony, and the need for critical thinking when evaluating Bigfoot evidence.Using Brian's recent newsletter topic as the foundation, the discussion explores how the scientific method can help researchers, enthusiasts, and witnesses examine claims without immediately jumping to the most extraordinary conclusion. Brian reflects on campout experiences where people interpreted blurry shapes, broken sticks, unusual trees, possible footprints, and so-called structures as evidence of Sasquatch activity. He explains his diplomatic response of “that's weird” while also emphasizing the importance of considering simpler explanations first, including pareidolia, human activity, environmental conditions, animal behavior, and confirmation bias.Brian and Dr. Hogan also address the growing divide within the Bigfoot community between open-minded inquiry and uncritical belief. They discuss how explanations involving portals, mind speak, and other “woo” concepts can sometimes add unnecessary layers of mystery instead of bringing researchers closer to answers. While both remain open to possibilities, they stress that extraordinary claims require careful evaluation and that the strongest path forward is one rooted in evidence, humility, and intellectual honesty. The conversation also touches on how artificial intelligence has made photographs and videos less reliable than ever, increasing the need for biological evidence, field discipline, and objective analysis. From debates surrounding the Patterson-Gimlin film to modern programs like Capturing Bigfoot, Brian and Dr. Hogan examine how ego, gullibility, infighting, and overinterpretation can weaken the search for truth. At its core, this episode is a reminder that critical thinking is not the enemy of belief. It is what gives the search for Sasquatch credibility.Brian and Dr. Hogan encourage listeners to stay curious, get outside, investigate responsibly, question assumptions, and evaluate every claim with both an open mind and a grounded perspective.Email BrianGet Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Start Your Transformation Now Most people absorb personal growth content with genuine desire to change — yet the moment they stop listening, they slip right back into the same patterns, the same struggles, and the same quiet belief that something is fundamentally wrong with them. Jim Fortin has heard it countless times: I must be broken. This just doesn't work for me. In this episode, Jim dismantles that belief entirely. The problem is never the person — it is the direction. Nearly everyone is approaching life from the outside in, trying to fix visible problems with visible solutions, and wondering why nothing sticks. Jim draws on decades of coaching and his own personal history with money and health challenges to explain why the cure for what ails us — financially, physically, relationally — cannot be found in the 3D world. The body is not who you are. Your bank account is not who you are. These are conditions being experienced by a soul temporarily housed in a human form, and when you misidentify yourself as the condition, you stay trapped inside it. The real shift happens when you stop fighting what's wrong and start opening to the divine consciousness that has never once been sick, broke, afraid, or broken. You are not damaged goods. You have simply been looking in the wrong direction. It is time to turn around. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (01:26) The outside-in trap — Why most people keep repeating the same struggles despite consuming endless books, programs, and motivation, and how misidentifying with the body locks you into its limitations. (04:23) You are not your body — Jim reframes the common language of illness and lack, explaining that saying "I have rheumatoid arthritis" or "I have no money" keeps the soul trapped inside a 3D identity that was never the full truth of who you are. (07:19) The part of you that has never been broken — There is a dimension of you — your soul, your consciousness — that has never been sick, never been afraid, and never been touched by any illness or lack. Jim challenges listeners to think and identify from that place instead. (11:44) The three-minute morning practice — A simple, practical protocol Jim learned from a shaman: sit quietly, breathe, and gently hold the sentence I am open to being loved by something greater than my fear — no forcing, no agenda, just openness. (15:55) Why silence is the cure — Using the analogy of cutting a finger and simply putting on a bandage, Jim illustrates how healing flows naturally when we stop the noise of analyzing, fixing, and fearing — and step into the quiet space where divine mind can be heard. (19:43) You are not alone — Referencing the parable of Footprints in the Sand, Jim reminds listeners that the same consciousness carrying every breath they take is fully capable of handling money, health, relationships, and everything else they are struggling to control. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not broken — and you never were. The money challenges, the health struggles, the loneliness — these are not evidence of a flawed soul. They are evidence of a soul that has been looking outward for answers that can only be found within. Your soul has never been sick, never been broke, never once been touched by fear or limitation. When you stop fighting the condition and start opening — just three quiet minutes a day, no agenda, no expectation — you create the space for divine consciousness to move. Like rain soaking into the ground, you don't have to force it. You only have to stop blocking it. That is the cure — just the willingness to remember what you actually are. In this episode, Brian sits down with author and researcher Norman Solie for the first half of their conversation, focused entirely on the encounters and experiences that pulled Norman into the world of Sasquatch research.Norman traces his fascination back to childhood, when he first saw the Patterson-Gimlin film while growing up in Washington. That early impression stayed with him, but it was a solo backpacking trip in 1980 to a remote lake in the Cascade Mountains that would leave him with questions he could not easily dismiss.During that trip, Norman heard a chilling wail in the night, discovered a large muddy footprint near his tent, and was overcome by an urgent, unexplainable feeling that he needed to leave immediately. As he made his way out, the sound of breaking branches behind him only deepened the mystery. After stepping away from the subject in the mid-1980s, Norman's interest was reignited years later during a 2006 retreat in Illinois, where he witnessed a small, black, fuzzy-edged figure watching people from a distance. What first seemed strange and difficult to explain would later lead him to consider the possibility that he had seen a juvenile Sasquatch.Norman also shares a series of unusual experiences from Alaska and Massachusetts, including the feeling of being watched, possible structures, tracks, scat, tree breaks, strange vocalizations, possible eye shine, and unexplained knocks both near his home and along trails around his remote cabin. This is Part 1 of Brian's conversation with Norman Solie, centered on Norman's personal encounters and field experiences. Part 2 airs this Sunday and will focus on Norman's book, Before Patty Volume One: Patrick The Sasquatch/Human Hybrid & Our Genetic Inheritance.
