What is ego? It's defined as: A person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance.  The fact is that we all have an ego to some extent. I have an ego. You have an ego. It’s just the way we are wired. The battle for me is becoming more conscious of it, and realizing that in order to have freedom and peace, I need to be completely honest with myself, recognize and admit when my own ego is starting to be a factor in any given situation I might deal with throughout the day. My guest today is Shelley Matthews who serves as one of Foundations’ admissions coordinators. Jaana Woodbury was one of my favorite people to meet at the Innovations In Recovery Conference. Her own story and struggle with addiction is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat, but to hear what her and her husband are doing today in the recovery community is amazing. Jaana helps operate The Chadwick House. The Chadwick House is a women's sober living home that recently opened in Orange County California, alongside it's big brother in the recovery community The Ohio House. The Chadwick House offers a safe and effective place for women to get clean and sober and have a chance at a better life. Jaana has a genuine heart for women seeking to get off of drugs and live a positive life. Listen in as she discusses her own struggle with addiction, as well as how you or someone you love can get help.    https://www.chadwick-house.com   This episode was recorded at the 2017 innovations In Recovery conference in San Diego CA sponsored by Foundations Recovery Network   Thanks to our Sponsors:   Foundations Recovery Network DxRx Medical - Get Sober at Home with the DxRx App Sober Nation Ad music by www.bensound.com

Now they are training the very first accredited CCMI case managers and interventionists in their new program!
