Road Trip After Hours w/ WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long and Host Mac Davis
Ever wonder what really happens behind the curtain in professional wrestling? WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long pulls back the veil in this captivating episode of Wrestling's Road Trip After Hours, sharing stories that only a true industry veteran could tell. The conversation kicks off with breaking news about Mick Foley's recent car accident - a crash so severe that looking at the wreckage, you'd assume the worst. Yet somehow, the Hardcore Legend walked away with minor injuries, proving once again why he earned his infamous moniker. Long and host Mac Davis marvel at Foley's resilience, a testament to a career built on surviving the impossible.Long shares priceless memories of managing legendary tag teams like Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed), including the hilarious origin story of Simmons' iconic "Damn!" catchphrase - born when Long accidentally left him standing in the snow during a road trip. These authentic moments of camaraderie and chaos showcase the human side of wrestling rarely seen by fans.Perhaps most fascinating is Long's perspective on how wrestling has evolved - particularly lamenting the disappearance of managers who once played crucial roles in getting talent over. "When I was managing, I had more heat than the guys," Long reveals, pinpointing what many believe is missing from today's product. His Mount Rushmore of wrestling managers (Gary Hart, Skandar Akbar, Bobby Heenan, and Lou Albano) serves as a reminder of how these personalities once shaped the industry.Whether you're a longtime wrestling fan or new to the squared circle, these insider stories provide a rare glimpse into wrestling history from someone who truly lived it. Life of Agony's Alan Robert dives into the band's new song, "The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)," reflects on their 35-year career and shares who his first musical influence was.
In 1988 no one ever suspected a young man named Mick Foley would be one of the greatest pro wrestlers in history. However, by 1998 the world totally realized he was special. After spending years wrestling around the world in the scariest of hardcore matches — including everything from barbed wire to flaming 2X4s — the beloved veteran captured the hearts of wrestling fans around the world. In fact, his popularity soared so much that he was voted Time Magazine Man of the Year in 1998 by WWE fans who flooded the voting. Time Magazine actually disqualified Foley because they didn't feel a pro wrestler deserved such an honor. Foley responds to that in this interview.

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview WWE Hall-of-Famer Mick Foley, Author of Saint Mick. Mick Foley is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of several acclaimed memoirs and children's books, a WWE Hall-of-Famer, and a lifelong lover of Christmas. From beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author and WWE Hall-of-Famer Mick Foley comes a Yuletide tale like no other. After a life of putting his body on the line to entertain his dozens (and dozens!) of fans, the Hardcore Legend, is paying the price – physically and emotionally. When the bell on Mick's career tolls, not in the ring, but in a neurologist's office, his future seems far from merry and bright. In order to fully embrace his new red-suited responsibilities, Mick enters the fascinating world of the Santa subculture, where he hones his Christmas craft while worrying he'll be excommunicated from the Santa world for, among other things, his Santa character being run over by a motor vehicle on Christmas Eve on WWE television.

The guys are all in the same studio for once, and quickly start by breaking down Hell in a Cell. All of them were positive about the show, praising putting the women's match on last, as well as the overall quality of the show. However, it's not without some complaining, as Glenn in particular nitpicks about some of the booking decisions. In the second segment they ask a pivotal question: "Are we at the point where James Ellsworth is helping Dean Ambrose get more over?" They also talk about where we're heading with Miz and Daniel Bryan, and also Survivor Series. Finally, in the third segment, they talk to hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer-who will be appearing at Primal Conflict Wrestling in Harper's Ferry November 19. Dreamer waxes nostalgic about what got him into wrestling, and about ECW. He also gives his opinion of the state of wrestling in WWE and out, plus if he thinks the company should revive the Hardcore title. After Dreamer, the guys wrap up by talking about the Wrestlemania news, as well as the breaking announcement of #205Live, the new cruiserweight-centric show on the Network.
Raw has a long tradition of Superstars bucking authority. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Rock and even current Raw General Manager Mick Foley have challenged the status quo when their backs were up against the wall. And yet, that doesn’t mean The Hardcore Legend will stand for Seth Rollins’ continued refusal to heed his directives. This past Monday night, after sustaining bruised ribs at the hand of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at WWE Clash of Champions, The Architect attempted to confront The Prizefighter — an act that blatantly went against Foley’s orders.
WWE RAW Post Show WWE Reportedly Makes Bid to Purchase TNA, Raw General Manager Mick Foley might seem like a cuddly teddy bear of a man, especially if you’ve been binge-watching Holy Foley on WWE Network lately. But don’t forget that the heart of a Hardcore Legend still beats below the Santa Claus shirts and tweed blazers. Seth Rollins woke up a little bit of Cactus Jack in Foley last Monday night when he not only questioned the Raw GM’s integrity, but outwardly defied the Team Red authority figure by interfering in the main event bout between Roman Reigns and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. Then again, so did United States Champion Rusev. Now, both Superstars must pay the price.
On episode 25, host Dave Cunning had the incredible honor to interview one of pro wrestling’s all-time greats, the Hardcore legend, Mick Foley. The WWE Hall of Famer chatted about his books, his career roles –spanning from multiple wrestling characters to author, activist, storyteller, Santa Claus, and others; his Wrestlemania 32 appearance and Shane McMahon’s leap off the Hell in the Cell ala Foley’s crash landing off that same structure in 1998; his dramatic weight loss thanks to DDP Yoga; the movie Beyond the Mat; Holy Foley; and his daughter Noelle’s foray into pro wrestling. Foley also spoke about Invasion Championship Wrestling, whom the Hardcore Legend will be appearing on shows for May 6 in Kelowna, BC and May 7th in Vernon, BC. ICW runs wrestling events to raise money for local charities, something that Foley, an advocate for RAINN, autism awareness, and other causes was happy to help support. If you’re in either of those areas, I hope you’ll go see one or both shows.Check out www.invasionchampionshipwrestling.com to buy tickets and for more info on the events.
