Salve Killers! Intro music: Spooky Scary Skeletons (JubyPhonic Modified Version)Music 1: “Until Dawn” - Vivek AbhishekMusic 2: “Slow and relaxing background” - BobncsMusic 3: “Dark Lands” - Vivek AbhishekMusic 4: “It Will Hurt Just Once” - HorrorSuspenseMusic 5: “Tension Cello” - OvermusicMusic 6: “Evidence” - SoundridemusicMandami una mail: oscuropalcoscenico@gmail.comSe vuoi consigliarmi un caso: https://forms.gle/GB3esZB3oaybN4Di7

(Uwaga. I wreszcie: DLACZEGO zabijał?

Dr. Henry Howard Holmes or H. H. Holmes was an American con artist and serial killer. Holmes was accused of killing 9 people, confessed to killing 27 people, and was alleged to have killed upward of 200, but there were several holes in his confession. Some of the victims, he claimed to murder, were actually still walking among the living. However, H. H. Holmes was convicted of killing one person and sentenced to death. That execution was carried out on May 7, 1896. This weeks episode focuses on the first in a series of doctors who kill, as we dive into those who take an oath to treat their patients but instead chose to kill them. Herman Webster Mudgett (May 16, 1861 – May 7, 1896), better known as Dr. Henry Howard Holmes or H. H. Holmes, was an American con artist and serial killer, the subject of more than 50 lawsuits in Chicago alone. Since the 1990s Holmes has often been described as a serial killer, however, Adam Selzer points out in his book on Holmes, "Just killing several people isn't necessarily enough for most definitions of a serial killer. More often, it has to be a series of similar crimes, committed over a period of time, usually more to satisfy a psychological urge on the killer's part than any more practical motive." and "The murders we can connect him [Holmes] to generally had a clear motive: someone knew too much, or was getting in his way, and couldn't be trusted. The murders weren't simply for love of bloodshed but a necessary part of furthering his swindling operations and protecting his lifestyle." H. Holmes. Despite his confession of 27 murders (including some people who were verifiably still alive) while awaiting execution,[2] Holmes was convicted and sentenced to death for only one murder, that of accomplice and business partner Benjamin Pitezel.[3] Victims were killed in a mixed-use building which he owned in Chicago, located about three miles (5 kilometers) west of the 1893 World's Fair: Columbian Exposition, supposedly called the World's Fair Hotel (informally called "The Murder Castle"), though evidence suggests the hotel portion was never truly open for business.[4] Besides being a serial killer, Holmes was also a con artist and a trigamist, the subject of more than 50 lawsuits in Chicago alone. Holmes was executed on May 7, 1896, nine days before his 35th birthday.[5]

Every aspect of this mans life was to find a way to make money and scam people. Friends, family, and colleagues were on the short list of victims of his disturbing crimes. The most infamous part of history has to be his murder hotel. Where rooms would have laundry shoots so he can dispose of the bodies to the basement where they were treated as cadavers and parts sold off to scientists. We dive into the mind of a H.H. Today on Murder Monday, we dive into the almost Fort Worth Murder Castle. Ever hear about America's first serial killer? In 1892, Dr. Henry Howard Holmes built a hotel in Chicago near the World's Fair of 1893. Actually, the hotel was a labyrinthine “murder castle” of sixty rooms, where the doctor was suspected of killing as many as twenty-seven.In 1893, Holmes began a romantic relationship with Minnie Williams of Fort Worth. Minnie and her sister had an inheritance of land on Commerce Street in downtown Fort Worth. Holmes planned another hotel for the booming frontier town — this one was adjacent to the opera house, one block from the Natatorium, livery stables, theaters, and restaurants.Support The Show:Send us a donation: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/tcnsOTHER SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/truecrimeneversleepspodcastTwitter: https://twitter.com/truecrimens

He even built a “murder castle” at 63rd and Wallace in Englewood, Chicago, that contained gas vaults, multiple chambers with hidden chutes, and a basement filled with torture and surgical equipment.. Dr. Henry Howard Holmes was one of America's most prolific serial killers. Amidst the festivities of The Chicago World's Fair, he erected a three story hotel, that was perfectly designed for undetectable murder. This week WWBD explores the life and crimes of the infamous H.H. Holmes. and it is a wild ride. This is a story so sensational, that discerning fact from fiction became a bigger task than simply telling the story. "I was born with the devil in me. I could not help the fact that I was a murderer, no more than the poet can help the inspiration to sing — I was born with the 'Evil One' standing as my sponsor beside the bed where I was ushered into the world, and he has been with me since."– H. Please be aware the stories, theories, re-enactments and language in this podcast are of an adult nature and can be disturbing, frightening and in some cases offensive. Listener Discretion is advised – there is very adult content ahead and you have been warned. Welcome heathens welcome to the world of the weird and unexplained. I’m your host, Nicole Delacroix and together, we will be investigating stories about the weird, wonderful, unexplained, eerie, scary and down-right unbelievable. There will be tales of ghosts, murder, supernatural beings and unexplained mysteries. So, sit back, grab your favorite drink, relax and prepare to be transported to today's dark Enigma.... And on today’s Dark enigma my inspiration for today’s episode came from a Memorial Day marathon of Supernatural. The episode for this case was one of my favorites and I know you guys are going to love this story, so, with that said, we will be playing our drinking game and of course, you know, the drinking game is only for those of us that are at home and have nowhere else to go tonight. The choice of potion is yours, so choose your venom accordingly… Alright, now for the game part how about every time I say Henry that will be a single shot and every time I say Chicago, that will be a double shot. Now that the business end is out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… and the mysterious Haunted Murder Castle of Chicago. There are some creepy places in this world that go beyond merely haunted, being not only supposedly infested by ghosts but also imbued with a history of pain, woe, strife, and death, indeed, pure evil. One such place exists in the city of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It was here that one of the nation’s very first serial killers would build a sadistic chamber of horrors to live out his most demented fantasies, and the “Murder Castle” has remained a dark mark on the city’s history and haunted with both real ghosts and its own horrific past. In 1886, a man named Henry Howard Holmes came to the city of Chicago, Illinois, and began a humble job working at a corner drugstore owned by an Elizabeth S. Holton, and by all accounts he was an intelligent, hard-working, and very charming man who before long had made quick friends with everyone in the area. He also seemed to be moving up in the world, eventually buying the store and becoming owner. What many people did not know was that the man they knew as H.H. Holmes was not who they thought he was, and that he was to begin a reign of terror that would shock the city, and indeed the nation.

Dr Henry Howard Holmes was America’s first serial killer. The charismatic criminal lured his victims to his hotel dubbed “the murder castle” during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. The building was riddled with trap doors and booby traps, a crematorium and gas chambers. The rumours of his depravity were far reaching and propelled H. H. Holmes to infamy. However the man dubbed America’s first serial killer may not have been responsible for the murders of as many people as he claimed. As director and author John Borowski explains,  Holmes derived pleasure from the planning of his crimes, not necessarily carrying them out. Borowski has written a book about Holmes, and directed a true crime documentary following his life and crimes. Once arrested, Holmes was prolific in claiming murders to have been by his hand, though some alleged victims came forward to attest that they were very much alive and unharmed.  Fuelled by desire for fame, or bloodlust, the case of H. H. Holmes and the murder hotel has as many twists and turns as the hotel in which they were carried out. Herman Webster Mudgett (May 16, 1861 – May 7, 1896), better known as Dr. Henry Howard Holmes, or more commonly, as H. H. Holmes, was an American serial killer. While he confessed to 27 murders, only nine could be plausibly confirmed and several of the people he claimed to have murdered were still alive. He is said to have killed as many as 200, though this figure is only traceable to 1940s pulp magazines. Many victims were said to have been killed in a mixed-use building which he owned, located about 3 miles (5 km) west of the 1893 World's Fair: Columbian Exposition, supposedly called the World's Fair Hotel (informally called "The Murder Hotel"), though evidence suggests the hotel portion was never truly open for business. Besides being a serial killer, Holmes was also a con artist and a bigamist, the subject of more than 50 lawsuits in Chicago alone. Many now-common stories of his crimes sprang from fictional accounts that later authors assumed to be factual. In a 2017 biography, Adam Selzer wrote that Holmes' story is "effectively a new American tall tale – and, like all the best tall tales, it sprang from a kernel of truth".[3]H. H. Holmes was executed on May 7, 1896, nine days before his 35th birthday, for the murder of his friend and accomplice Benjamin Pitezel. During his trial for the murder of Pitezel, Holmes confessed to many other killings. With Special Guest Kelly Evans

Shortly after Jack the Ripper had infamously haunted the streets of London, Herman Webster Mudgett, who later names himself Henry Howard Holmes, had himself eliminated between 27-200 people, mostly single young women.

Inquirers into the Strange

Henry Howard Holmes (born Herman Mudgett, May, 1861) was a privileged youth who undertook medical training at the University of Michigan. Despite being born into relative wealth, Holmes continually schemed to defraud insurance companies -- often by portraying cadavers from the university as accident victims and claiming the life insurances. H H Holmes is most famous however as the creator of Chicago's 'Murder Castle' where he killed numerous victims within the walls of the purpose built building. In addition to being the United State's first documented serial killer, Holmes may also be amongst the most prolific with possibly hundreds of victims. Adding to the mystery is a period of time where Holmes was possibly present in London - during the exact time of the Jack the Ripper murders and there is evidence to support the hypothesis that Holmes was possibly the Ripper...Join Ansir & Sophia as they stray from the paranormal and focus upon the dark and horrifying mysteries of the sinister H H Holmes.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/InquirersintotheStrange)
