(airdate: 2.25.26) Gordon Ramsay – Gordon admits on The Graham Norton Show that he once kicked Joan Collins out of his restaurant — but not for being Joan. He was actually throwing out a food critic who had trashed his place, and since Joan was the critic's guest… out she went too. Furious doesn't even cover it. Chris Hemsworth – Chris says a taping of Hot Ones went so badly they had to stop filming. After bravely crushing the early wings, he ended up on the floor, hugging a toilet for 12 hours. Even Thor has a spice limit. Lisa Rinna – Lisa reportedly believes she may have been drugged at a Traitors premiere party after appearing far more inebriated than expected. Castmate Colton Underwood alerted her team, who removed her from the event. Still lots of unanswered questions. Voted 6th Best Entertainment News Podcast! Because being #1 is soooo overrated. GREG COTE IS HERE on Mystery Crate — and we put him to work immediately: a full-on Frank's RedHot taste test (original, buffalo, garlic parm, pineapple Hawaiian, ghost pepper ranch, spicy maple and more) to rank his top 3 hot sauces like it's a “Hot Ones” episode… but with chips and a very loud front-chewer.We also revisit Greg's Love Guru moment from last week (yes, that advice), debate how many days is too long for a cruise, swap casino stories (including the infamous “caramel popcorn vape” incident), and somehow end up inventing a Toyota wave while arguing about waving etiquette, bike helmets, and why small talk ruins your whole day. Plus, we look at Pitbull's bizarre bald-cap world record attempt, the return of Daniel Radcliffe to Hot Ones, and why a massive winter storm is about to turn the Prairies into a real-life Olympic venue.

The crew navigates a "forceful removal" of a Homie Helpline for Areli, whose boyfriend of three years claims he needs dating apps to "fight his demons" and refuses to post her on social media because he's "uncertain of love". The "studious fools" also investigate the LAPD’s new $2.1 million drone program and debate if Russell Wilson is headed for the doghouse after struggling to choose between his Super Bowl ring and his wedding ring on Hot Ones. In this first installment of our two‑part Pharm to Table special on MK‑7845, Dani and LC sit down with medicinal chemist Valerie Shurtleff to unpack the discovery journey behind this 3CL protease inhibitor—from early structural insights to an unexpectedly effective difluorobutyl isostere. Val walks us through how the team balanced potency, VLE, metabolic challenges, and design intuition to land on a well‑rounded preclinical candidate - one of the most dynamic programs of her career. Along the way, she reminds us why asking good questions, collaborating relentlessly, and occasionally surviving a “Hot Ones” challenge are all essential scientific skills. It's an episode packed with chemistry, creativity, and just enough fluorine to keep things spicy.Stay tuned for Part 2, where we shift from invention to implementation and explore how the process chemistry team brought MK‑7845 to life at scale.Read some of the papers we discussed today:Invention of MK-7845, a SARS-CoV-2 3CL Protease Inhibitor Employing a Novel Difluorinated Glutamine Mimic - J. [Content warning: Dave did his best to remove sniffles.] Spicy chicken nuggets, bad decisions, and what happens when medical students test their heat tolerance on mic What happens when medical students, extremely spicy chicken nuggets, and microphones collide? Regret. M1s Reed Adajaar, Trever Maiers, Ben Cooper, and Matt Taylor assigned themselves a Hot Ones–style challenge featuring progressively hotter sauces on chicken nuggets. Confidence is high at the start. That does not last. As the Scoville units climb, so do the sweating, the panic, and the chaos at the table. Milk appears. Milk fails. Conversation continues anyway—exploring their goals for a new semester, their knowledge of anatomy, and how their past experiences are serving them as they go through med school. Things start off mostly coherent, move towards entertaining attempts at coherence, and finally devolving into incoherence as the magnitude of their error in suggesting this episode becomes truly apparent. This episode is light on medicine, heavy on heat, and fully committed to the bit. If you've ever said “How bad could it be?”—this episode has an answer. Mike JackTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Mike Jack. Mike is professional competitive eater of hot and spicey things. Known worldwide as Mike Jack Eats Heat, Mike holds (or held) 20 Guinness World Records. In this episode, we get into how and why Mike got into the competitive eating competition world, and we touch on some of his many records. We cover the craziest ones, as well as some of the more bizarre ones. I also get him to explain to me the body mechanics behind eating hot stuff and what it does to his stomach and intestinal linings. Mike shares stories of his competition experiences; both the during and the aftereffects of putting that much capsaicin in his tum-tum. From "Cap Cramps" to "Thunderclap Headaches". Mike spares no detail. We even discuss some of the non-competition challenges that he has completed. This dude ate 71 of those Paqui One Chip Challenge things! Finally, we discuss the several television shows he has appeared on and his own line of hot sauces. Mike Jack eats Heat Sauces come in 4 varieties currently. East Coast Vibes, Taco Tuesday, Rise and Shine, and Tropical fury. Check out Mike's videos all over social media, and enjoy NOT doing what he does!

If you've ever wondered how this show keeps getting worse — this episode explains everything.

(Airdate: 12.9.25) Today on the Who Cares News podcast, we break down the Stranger Things frenzy after Noah Schnapp may have let slip a major Season 5 detail during a Hot Ones taping — a moment that was scrubbed from the final cut but not before fans grabbed it. We're not spoiling anything, but we are talking about how fast the internet can turn a slip of the tongue into a full-blown investigation. Then we unravel the bizarre maternity lawsuit claiming Miley Cyrus had a secret biological mother. A Tennessee judge shut it down with prejudice, ending the strange case and handing Billy Ray Cyrus a legal win. And finally, Leonardo DiCaprio explains his personal philosophy for surviving fame: speak only when you have something to say, disappear the rest of the time, and stay out of people's faces if you want a long career. It's celebrities, chaos, and questionable choices — the Who Cares trifecta. Voted 6th Best Entertainment News Podcast! Because being #1 is soooo overrated. This week's episode is a full cross-country recap of our travel week. We kicked things off in New York City for Zachariah's live show, plus his SPICY moment on Hot Ones. From there, we headed straight to Salt Lake City, where a very enthusiastic Mormon couple attempted to convert us. They were like... totally obsessed with us. Then we made a spiritual pilgrimage to Swig to get our hands on some dirty sodas! Of course, Zach almost had a bathroom emergency at the Mormon temple that sent us sprinting to Nordstrom. Then we got on a spooky scary shaky flight to Portland, OR and not gonna lie we were scared lol the aggressive turbulence was real. Then Jonathan covers the story of a toddler who literally eats books and furniture, and Zach covers the story of a loose pig named Breakfast who is terrorizing a New York neighborhood. We know you want US Champs reactions, but this episode starts with the real post-mortem you've been waiting for... the redux on the Hot Ones challenge where Kara and Des go full TMI on you. They tell you all about the spicy aftermath of last week's episode, and Des shares that she has been going back for more. Then after quick life updates, they get into in-depth recaps of every event 800m+ at the US Champs. There are almost too many storylines to cover from surprises in the distance events to some sprint drama both on and off the track. There was so much good stuff that it took a full 95 minutes to recap. We can't wait for Tokyo... can you?!

We are mixing it up with this episode, and let's just say that things get a little bit spicy! If you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel yet, then now is the time b/c you will want to watch this one there for sure. In this episode, I (editor Chris) join as host to take Des and Kara through the Hot Ones challenge, using the hot sauce line-up from Season 27 of the show. Hot Ones is the show with hot questions and even hotter wings, but since we recorded this in Austin, we swapped in smoked brisket for hot wings, with all of the same sauces from the show. To start, we cover fun running questions and then get into deeper life stuff as the bites getting hotter. Des and Kara hang in there pretty well until brisket bite #8, when things drastically fall off the rails as we hit the infamous "Da Bomb" sauce. Des starts sweating dramatically from the sides of her nose, and suddenly Kara can't form a coherent sentence. In addition to the hilarious spectacle of it, you learn some fun stuff along the way including their post-long-run food of choice, their alt Olympic sport from another life, some very questionable road-trip hygiene choices, and how they remain authentic in the public eye (plus so much more). How will these two Olympians handle the challenge?!? Tune in to find out!
