But this is a funny movie with a romance that works, brought to us from the dusty DVR box of a long-time booster of our show who we were happy to finally bring on! For the last time in the summer of 2024 the Grinders are back! Well, kind of. Frank and Eric are back. Did Break not get the memo? Maybe Break has just been so busy that he hasn't had time? Maybe that is why he is posting it now, over a week later? More than likely, he's just an idiot.  Regardless of the failures of their other host, Frank and Eric march on! Since Eric has already done the news, the Grinders can skip ahead. Maybe the show will be shorter? A Food Quest denied is another quest failed.  Without anyone to interrupt, it's smooth sailing for Frank and Eric. Or at least it would be smooth if Eric wasn't reviewing not one but two terrible movies. Listen to what he thinks about Blade Trinity and Catwoman, Break will be sorry he missed those. He might also be sorry that he doesn't get to hear Frank's review of two good movies! The prequel movie Furiosa and the horror movie that's been gaining a lot of buzz, Long Legs.  If the stench of bad movies hasn't left your nostrils yet, it's only going to get worse. As it is time for the Stinkos! The lack of a show the previous week is a huge stinko but not as big as the trouble Frank had to face. Though not as bad, rainy paint and 30 FPS (when it should be 60) are very annoying. Good news should follow the bad and what could be better than Sweetos? There aren't many but one involves Frank going out to dinner with one of our favorite friends, Freak5Chaos!  With only one segment left the Grinders might be able to get an early dinner! First, they will have to do this week's Driver's Seat. Do you trust the media? Frank and Eric have a lot of perspective on the media and how it affects the world and things like politics. Who else has an opinion? Break Man, as he finally shows up to do the show. Was Break high, drunk, and lost in the woods? Did he come across a helpless old woman being attacked by an evil motorcycle gang and he had to save her and single handily defeat all of them? Was he in the hospital, again? Was he in the nuthouse, again? Or was he simply stuck in traffic?  Well, whatever the answer is to those questions, at least we do know the answer to another question: Food Quest failed. The loudmouth Break could keep them there all night. He is back with plenty of Stinkos, Sweetos, his views on the media, and maybe a review. Better late than never, unless everyone was hungry.                       Now that it's quasi-fall, is it too soon to start putting out the Halloween decorations?

The number one movie in the country was the Samuel L. Jackson basketball picture Coach Carter. The number five movie was the superhero dud Elektra. There's also the little-seen indie A Love Song for Bobby Long. The Flight of the Phoenix remake was still on the board. Racing Stripes was about to hold really well for a few weeks. Way down is Blade: Trinity, in its sixth week. We discuss those reports of troubles between Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds on set. Made all the more interesting with Deadpool & Wolverine out in the world. There's also some earnest chatter about the television show Suits. Perhaps most interesting this weekend is White Noise. It's surprising box office success - despite its January release date and bad reviews - changed the January month strategy for Hollywood studios. We also talk a little about the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and an earnest discussion about Jon Watts and if he is, in fact, a real human being. We close out the Blade series with a wild one. Mike and Devaughn talk about a movie that has more going on behind the scenes than in front of the camera. We take our time to discuss and maybe even debunk the stories of improper behavior of series star Wesley Snipes on the set of Trinity, his animosity towards writer/director David S Goyer and costars Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel, how Patton Oswalt's off the cuff remarks became accepted truth, and Snipes legitimate frustrations as both an executive producer who felt ignored and the franchise star who felt the series being taken away from him. There's also a whole ass move it discuss, and, well it's not great. Yet it's not as bad as people who have you believe. With a stacked cast, including indie darling Parker Posey having the time of her life, decent action set pieces and sweaty one liners delivered by Mr. Reynolds, this one has more going on for it than we remembered, despite the presence of one of cinema's weakest portrayals of Dracula. We also speculate on the future of the series, and ask with everything being so up in the air, "Why not Snipes?"

Daz Crawford is one amazing and talented mother f**ker! In this interview, he gets really personal with me by providing all the details on how his acting career started and how he landed the role of ‘Lighthammer' in the movie Blade 2. This guy is the prime example of why no one should give up on something that they want, ever… Blade 2 has such a great cast: Wesley Snipes, Ron Perlman, Norman Reedus, and Donnie Yen. Who would not want to be in a movie with those awesome people? Words cannot describe what the audience is fathoming over this great movie. Yes, I said it… Blade 2 is my favorite out of the trilogy. The first movie was good, but Blade 2 is better! The third, Blade Trinity, not so much. I just wasn't impressed with the silly dialogue and puns. To me, it seems the actors tried too hard to impress the audience. But Daz Crawford as Lighthammer, that's one guy you do not want to run into in a dark alley. With the great insight of the makeup, the stage, and the talent, Blade 2 will always be one of my favorite vampire movies of all time. I mean, it's the perfect Blade movie. Overall, great interview with Daz Crawford! He's such an amazing and wonderful person all around and I hope that he gets to act in a lot more movies. Is it selfish of me that I would like to see a spinoff of Lighthammer?
