In this episode of Entrepreneur Weekly, Alan Taylor engages in a thought-provoking dialogue with longtime friend, Scott Duffy, exploring the rapidly evolving domain of artificial intelligence (AI) at the AI Mavericks event in Los Angeles. Initially harboring skepticism, Alan's perspective undergoes a transformation upon noting that a mere 6.1% of businesses have integrated AI into their operations, as highlighted by a Goldman Sachs study, underscoring the nascent stage of AI adoption in various sectors. Scott introduces Jason Barnard, who developed a tool to help brands build authority in the AI sector by enhancing their online presence. Jason stresses the importance of a strong digital narrative, noting that he, despite his background, needed to boost his online authority at his company, Kalicube. Barnard focuses on training AI, like Google's algorithms, to represent individuals' credibility and expertise accurately. He encourages people to take control of their online narrative to ensure they are seen as credible experts. By testing AI platforms with inquiries about notable figures, individuals can see how consistent branding fosters trust—like teaching a dog a trick. Up next, we have Joe Stolte, who co-founded Daily AI, a groundbreaking tool that has changed how I create and send weekly emails. Despite being in its early stages, Daily AI has significant potential to transform businesses that may not realize what they're missing. The company focuses on “outcomes over outputs,” emphasizing that AI tools must drive tangible results, particularly for small businesses. By creating effective AI workflows and agents, Daily AI helps engage audiences and streamline the sales process, enabling users to automate tasks and achieve better results faster than traditional methods. Joining us next is, Renee Lossia Acho from the Renee Lossia Acho Real Estate Group, who discusses AI's role in real estate. Traditionally, developing educational courses has been resource-intensive, but AI, especially through digital twins, is changing this. However, some professionals worry about job security due to automation. It's crucial to remember that machines can't replicate the personal interactions essential for building relationships in real estate. Instead, AI should be seen as a complementary tool to enhance productivity and help professionals maximize their time. Brad Moss, founder of Enhanced AI, previously managed Amazon's third-party selling platform. Three and a half years ago, he recognized the potential of artificial intelligence and sought to create a platform for business professionals to build custom agents. With his background in tech and entrepreneurship, Moss is well-equipped to scale Enhanced AI. The platform streamlines the agent-building process, allowing users to create voice-controlled agents easily. He envisions a system where users can articulate their needs to automatically generate customized agents and encourages early engagement to maximize the platform's capabilities.. In a recent segment, Alan spoke with motivational speaker Dan Clark, who has been active since 1982 and started his career with the National Speakers Association under Zig Ziglar. Dan discussed how AI could enhance his focus on personal responsibility and character-based values, acknowledging the need for motivation in today's fast-paced world. He emphasized preserving the creative process while recognizing AI's potential to improve communication, particularly in marketing. Dan highlighted the ability of AI to replicate and amplify the wisdom of speakers like himself, Scott Duffy, and Alan. He concluded by expressing excitement about the upcoming AI Mavericks conference and its innovative potential. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We learn about Jason's transformation from being known as a cartoon blue dog to becoming a recognized digital marketing expert. He explains his Kalicube Process, a three-phase framework that includes Understandability, Credibility, and Deliverability. He emphasizes the power of controlling one's digital footprint and provides practical strategies for future-proofing digital search strategies across platforms like Google, Bing, and ChatGPT. --- Make the Machines Get You with Jason Barnard Good day, dear listeners, Steve Preda here with the Management Blueprint podcast. And my guest today is Jason Barnard, the founder and CEO of Kalicube, a digital marketing agency that helps business leaders future-proof their digital search strategy. Jason, welcome to the show. Thank you very much, Steve. I'm delighted to be here helping business leaders with their digital search strategy for their corporation or for themselves with their personal brand. Okay, that's awesome. So let's start our conversation with your personal “Why.” So why are you doing this? Why did you come up with this idea? And how do you manifest your personal “Why” through the work you do? Well, the “Why” of how I got here is because I realized that we all have multi-facets as people and as corporations, and that machines like Google don't necessarily understand what the most important facet is today. And my example was that I was a voiceover artist for a cartoon blue dog, and Google presented Jason Barnard as a cartoon blue dog when you search for my name. And I realized that I could influence how Google perceives me and therefore how it represents me. Then I realized once I've done that, I got it to represent me as a digital marketer and an entrepreneur now, rather than as a cartoon blue dog. I realized that by changing Google's perception of me and its representation of me, I could change Microsoft Bing's perception of me and representation of me. And then when Generative AI, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini all came out, they all represented me the same way. And I realized that the strategy is universal. How do I change the perception of the knowledge algorithms of the big tech companies, change their perception so they represent me the way I want? How do I get control of their representation of me? And the big “Why” is this is so hugely powerful, so hugely important to us all, to each and every person on this planet, but especially to people who care about their personal brand or their corporate brand. I wanted to share it with everybody because I think it's valuable, I think it's helpful, and I wanna be a helpful person.Share on X Yeah, I mean, it makes sense you want to be represented the way that you want people to see you. But do people actually know how they want people to see them? Do they articulate this to themselves most of the time? Yeah, that is a huge problem. Some people come to us and say, I would like you to help me to get the machines, Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Bing, to represent me the way I want. And then I ask them, how do you want to be represented? And the answer is, I don't really know. At which point we then send them to a partner who will help them figure out exactly what it is they're communicating and who they're communicating it to, who is their audience, so that they can then come back to us and we can make sure they're represented the way they want. So once you've decided how you want to be perceived and represented to your audience, then come and see us. Okay, so you actually developed a framework you call The Kalicube Process, which actually helps people achieve that goal.

In this episode of Create Like the Greats, Ross sits down with Jason Barnard, CEO of Kalicube to delve into the fundamentals of search engine optimization (SEO) and and Google's evolving understanding of search engine results pages (SERPs). They talked about the importance of educating Google to represent your brand, the role of content in SEO, building a knowledge graph, the significance of branding, the use of AI in SEO, and the impact of Google's NLP. Key Takeaways and Insights 1. Understanding Google's Evolution Google is no longer solely about SEO strategies but rather about comprehending the context and purpose behind content. Google's focus has shifted from keywords to understanding the intent and meaning behind the words used. This means that businesses can now influence how Google represents their brand by effectively educating it. 2. Balanced Digital Marketing Strategy While some believe that flooding the internet with content can boost their rankings, Jason discusses that a balanced approach is key. Google aims to present a comprehensive overview to its users, so it's important to have a digital marketing strategy that engages your audience effectively while maintaining quality and relevance. 3. The Importance of Branding Branding should take priority over marketing. Establishing a strong brand identity allows businesses to market effectively and package their marketing materials for search engines like Google and Bing, conveying who they are, what they do, who they serve, and their credibility as a solution. 4. The Role of AI in SEO Fundamentals of marketing and SEO should be prioritized over using AI to manipulate search rankings. SEOs possess unique insights and skills, and Google serves as a valuable indicator of digital marketing performance. Resources Kalicube - https://kalicube.com/ —

Smart Agency Masterclass with Jason Swenk: Podcast for Digital Marketing Agencies
Are you debating the value of building your brand? Perhaps you're wary of the effort needed to establish your identity, only to feel confined to your business once you become the face of the agency. Our guest today specializes in helping clients effectively brand themselves and elevate their agencies. Jason Barnard is an entrepreneur, writer, and CEO of Kalicube, a digital marketing agency that makes your online brand representation irresistible to potential customers. Jason loves to solve the puzzle of how algorithms work and figure out how clients can use them in their favor. In this conversation, both Jasons emphasize the significance of branding yourself to elevate your agency to the next level in the digital marketing space. In this episode, we'll discuss: Why a personal brand won't tie you to the business. How to build and pivot your brand. Communicating your evolving value. The Relatable Factor: Using Personal Branding to Connect with Clients Building a strong brand requires consistency above all else. Without it, your company risks fading into obscurity. As long as you provide value, consistency will help you gain your audience's trust over time. For Jason, it's also very much about believing in the value you bring and being proactive. It's a journey that never ends, Jason says, and a game you lose unless you devote enough time to building that brand over time. Most agency owners believe they need to choose between building the agency's brand or their personal brand. Commonly, a personal brand is seen as something that will tie you to the business forever, turning you into the face of the company. However, you need to be the face of your agency, especially in the beginning, and this doesn't necessarily mean you'll never be able to walk away. Being the face of the agency simply means that you are the relatable figure that people associate with the business. People prefer to interact with individuals rather than faceless entities, and having a recognizable figure can significantly enhance their connection to your agency. According to Jason, we all have a personal brand, whether we like it or not. As soon as you step into the digital landscape you're leaving a footprint and, even if you try to stay in the background, people will seek you out to figure out who's behind the agency. Furthermore, agency owners should consider their career trajectory beyond the agency. Whether that means transitioning to roles like investor or author, having an established brand can make this pivot much smoother than starting from scratch. Building and Pivoting Your Brand on Your Own Terms For many people, one of the scariest parts of building a brand is thinking they'll have to be very active on social media. To this, Jason says: not necessarily. To build your brand, you need to do things that make sense to you. This might be appearances on podcasts, writing articles, or social media. It all depends on your talent set, how you want to be presented, and how your audience is going to consume the information you provide. If, instead, you're looking to pivot an existing brand, Jason recommends auditing and updating all existing content about yourself to ensure it accurately reflects your current brand identity. This may involve revisiting old blog posts, social media profiles, podcast interviews, and other online assets to make necessary changes and corrections. It's what he did when he decided to become a digital marketer after many years of being known on the internet as a cartoonist. He set out to align all his content with his current brand message to present a cohesive and compelling image to your audience. For people looking to achieve something similar, he advises looking at what they have in their digital ecosystem, deciding what they want to communicate, and refocus everything. Once you do, Google will represent you in the way you want and your audience will see you the way you want to be seen. Communicating Your Evolving Value in the Digital Age One thing all entrepreneurs should keep in mind when it comes to branding is that we're not permanently just one thing. People change and evolve; likewise, your personal brand should always evolve. If you have an active career, you'll probably need to reposition yourself at least three times as you accomplish some goals and set out to conquer new ones. In today's digital landscape, with the increasing influence of AI and algorithms, effectively communicating one's identity and value proposition to the target audience is paramount. As individuals, we may struggle with defining who we are and what we stand for however as professionals, we must recognize that change is inevitable and that our personal brand should reflect this evolution. It can take time and self-reflection to truly understand our values, goals, and strengths. However, by actively engaging in this process, we can better align our personal brand with our authentic selves and create a more compelling and impactful online presence. A creation of both me and my ex-wife). His personality had an incredible, calming influence on me. His personality rubbed off on me, and Boo-ah is a deeply kind, generous, and deeply thoughtful, mindful character. Effect on Emotions Being aware that you can't change something, and learning to accept it reduces massively, frustration for me. So one thing that I got out of my experience in Mauritius, and my depression, was that frustration in my life reduced significantly afterward. Because I could accept that things move at speed, they move out. If I can't change that speed, then I need to accept that speed is something I don't appreciate or don't want in my life, or happening. If I can't change it, I need to accept it. And that reduces stress and reduces frustration. And it's been life-changing. Thoughts on Breathing The only time I ever focus on my own breathing is when I'm singing, and what I've learned from singing is that I got quite powerful lungs, so I can actually get a lot of air in and sing quite a lot of time without taking another breath. So one of the things I do when I'm singing, I'm playing with double bass, is learn to breathe incredibly deeply, and that may be added to the pleasure of playing the music because I would imagine I'm getting huge hits of oxygen every time I do that. Suggested Resources Book: Confucius from the Heart By Yu Dan App: Spotify Bullying Story Sometimes in my personal life, but in business as well, I feel that I've been bullied by somebody. And it's more along the lines of manipulation. But manipulation is a kind of bullying. And it's psychologically very violent. It seems like normal behavior, and what I also know is it's a normal relationship, but I feel bullied. And if I am mindful of the fact that I don't want to do what they're pushing me to do, and can just say, well, actually, no, this is what I need, this is what I want. I would be much better off. A digital marketing agency focused on data-driven marketing that gets results: more leads and sales. He believes that without good marketing, businesses die and people suffer, and that ethical, scientific marketing can change the world. The Marketing Flywheel also helps marketers identify opportunities for improvement in their current strategies. In this groovily insightful episode, Josh Ramsey dives into the powerful concept of the ClearBrand Marketing Flywheel and explains how it helps reduce marketing waste, increase credibility, and ensure your brand is seen. ClearBrand Marketing Flywheel focuses on three key components: Building Memories, Maximizing Availability, and Reaching the Market. Along the way, Josh points out the risks to take and the importance of doing research to make sure your brand stands out in the right way.
