Les Femmes s'emparent d'ELAB, ça reprend ! Après une saison 2021-2022 bien chargée, notre programme spécial FEELAB continue à mettre en lumière la scène féminine et non-binaire. Ce soir, c'est une artiste de notre équipe qu'on met en avant, Morgann, alias Midnight Totem.MIDNIGHT TOTEM : Artiste plasticienne, Morgann se met à la musique en 2020, par la MAO. Assez vite elle travaille le live pour son projet Midnight Totem, mais apprend également à mixer pour partager ses coups de cœur : de la musique électronique pointue, immersive, dans des registres ambient, break, bass music, expé, IDM.C'est une compositrice boulimique. Après une résidence Ableton Live au Trempo à Nantes cette année, animée par le très réputé DJ et producteur Simo Cell, elle sort un premier album sur le label uruguayen Veinte 33, puis quelques mois après un second en autoproduction. Elle a aussi pu jouer ses premiers live l'été passé, dont son projet Mangata, un live AV avec une danseuse. Bref c'est une artiste prometteuse !LE SET  : « J'y ai mis mes influences principales : ambient, break, UK bass, expé. Avec notamment Less-o (UK bass), J:Kenzo ou Kromestar (dubstep), ou encore les boss Atom™ pour l'ambient trip-hop jazzy ou encore Alva Noto (du minimal glitch). »DES MODÈLES D'ARTISTES FEMMES ?« Concernant les artistes femmes, j'en admire tellement que ça va être compliqué mais en gros, trois grandes catégories. Le collectif Zone rouge pour leurs sets break/ bass trop chouettes ! Soyoon ou encore Lugal Lambada pour leurs sets ambient immersifs. Dans un délire plus déstructuré, post-club : Mika Oki, Zoé Mcpherson ou Rinemax, des sets où tu sais pas à quoi t'attendre ! »< LES FEMMES S'EMPARENT D'ELAB >Été 2020. Passées une centaine d'émissions sur C Lab, il a bien fallu se rendre à l'évidence : les femmes manquent cruellement à nos micros. Sur les 35 émissions réalisées l'année dernière, seulement quatre DJs femmes... Un constat qui fait mal à la scène bretonne, pourtant super-active et fière de l'être.Aussi, afin de commencer à notre niveau, local et associatif, à contrer cette tendance structurelle de manque de visibilité des artistes femmes et personnes non-binaires, qui se reflète bien malgré nous dans notre programmation, nous avons décidé de lancer un programme spécial de podcasts diffusés sur nos ondes et notre compte SoundCloud. L'objectif est de découvrir des artistes, qu'i.elles soient débutantes, émergentes ou déjà confirmées, bretonnes, françaises ou d'ailleurs. De porter l'attention sur une scène féminine trop souvent invisibilisée.Remercions spécialement le webzine PWFM qui nous confie gracieusement pour illustrer ce programme le logo de sa branche féministe, Provocative Women For Music. Interstellar travel is the term used for hypothetical manned or unmanned travel between stars. Interstellar travel will be much more difficult than interplanetary spaceflight; the distances between the planets in the Solar System are less than 30 astronomical units (AU)—whereas the distances between stars are typically hundreds of thousands of AU, and usually expressed in light-years. Because of the vastness of those distances, interstellar travel would require either great speed, a high percentage of the speed of light, or huge travel time, lasting from decades to millennia or longer. The speeds required for interstellar travel in a human lifetime far exceed what current methods of spacecraft propulsion can provide. Even with a hypothetically perfectly efficient propulsion system, the kinetic energy corresponding to those speeds is enormous by today’s standards of energy production. Moreover, collisions by the spacecraft with cosmic dust and gas can produce very dangerous effects both to passengers and the spacecraft itself. A number of strategies have been proposed to deal with these problems, ranging from giant arks that would carry entire societies and ecosystems, to microscopic space probes. Many different spacecraft propulsion systems have been proposed to give spacecraft the required speeds, including nuclear propulsion, beam-powered propulsion, and methods based on speculative physics. For both manned and unmanned interstellar travel, considerable technological and economic challenges need to be met. Even the most optimistic views about interstellar travel see it as only being feasible decades from now—the more common view is that it is a century or more away. 2011 was a crazy year for me. So much opportunity, so much success, so many new sounds and diverse styles of music – the rate & amount of music that I received daily/weekly was almost too much for me to handle at times and still is. It is not easy keeping up with so many different styles of music, in fact I still feel like I’m behind on certain bpms. If I had to choose one style of sound that has hit me the most as of lately it would obviously be any sound that has Bass emphasis in it. Whether its 808s, echo chambers tied in with reverb bass-lines, deep synthesizers, with crispy smooth-rhythmic percussions and hi-tech drums/snares… all of it – it has me right in the chest. I coined this terminology of sound called Deep-Thought music. Basically any track that is deep, heavy, soulful, and constant -- making you think of your day, life, achievements, inspirations, issues, ect is basically deep thought music.
