It's time for one of those huge episodes. Well, it's a three parter anyways. 2012 was for me, a little bit of a slacker for horror movies, some would say that not enough time has elapsed to make this assessment, I say, shnozwaddle! The highs are really high & the lows can be quite messy. But, what do I think was the very greatest horror movie that came out during 2012? Well, here we have the top 10. The worst 10. A slew of also rans. Some awesome mates. Some special guests. Several pints of beer and a 5 hours of running time split over 3 episodes. It's week 3 of our MEN IN BLACK month which means of course it's time to recap the third film in the franchise by looking closely at the 2012 entry that is Men in Black 3! Why is this movie seemingly always forgotten? Why does this movie never get the love it deserves? How perfect is the casting of Josh Brolin as young K? Do we like Emma Thompson speaking weird alien? Is it great to have Will Smith back at his best? Why do the special effects look weird but weirdly work? What is the deal with the Mets? Why does the de-ageing in this movie never get credit when it comes to one of the characters? How great is Jermaine Clement? Why do we keep wanting to talk about David Schwimmer all of a sudden? Can we rap better than Pitbull? And how badly do we want pie all of a sudden? It's an epic recap with epic moments so listen in to feel extra epic! ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

This time Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are up against time travel with a new star joining them in Josh Brolin. This installment seems a little more grown up. GOOD GUYS DRESS IN BLACK "Keep Agent K's name out of your f**king mouth" screams Will Smith on the set of Men in Black 3, presumably. We complete the black suit trilogy but there's no Will Smith song to be found this time, instead Pitbull takes the honours with his confused throwback hit "Back In Time". Alex feels like Phase 4 is the same as Phase 1, Ben has been face to face with a sea beast and Dietrich is huddled around a phone in injury time. Episode 267: The Crew's time traveling to 1969 while watching Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black 3. This is the last of the MIB films starring the original cast. Adding a terrific Josh Brolin as a younger Agent K. The 3D and a 10 year gap between sequels helped made this the highest grossing entry in the franchise. Which was a good thing considering this film is the most expensive comedy ever made. The time travel plot adds a lot of fresh comedy and creativity to the music, production design, and costumes. Guess who’s back, back again? Men in Black (3), tell a friend! We really go animal style this time, from Boris the Animal to whale threesomes, we’ve got it all in this episode!
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and UK fan of the show Stephen Jones discuss Men in Black 3. Agent J (Will Smith) has to travel back in time to 1969 to prevent Boris the Animal (Jemaine Clement) from assassinating a young Agent K (Josh Brolin). Etan Coen's smart screenplay for Men in Black 3 elevates the material for a movie that's better than you might expect. Not unlike Austin Powers: Goldmember, groovy 1960s music and daddy issues power the plot. Michael Stuhlbarg is especially good as the time-travel expert Griffin; his performance reminds one of a younger Robin Williams. Men in Black 3 is what Men in Black 2 should have been: a heartwarming story that builds on character moments. In the new episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, two hit movies with two very different stories behind them. Warner Bros traded Forrest Gump to get its hands on Executive Decision. But things were a little tense on set, not least with Steven Seagal. As for Men In Black 3? Well, yikes. Ten years since Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones last teamed up, does anybody care about Men in Black anymore? Or are we looking at another old, formerly popular franchise that has lost its relevance? Plus, we'll scare up a review for 'Chernobyl Diaries', the latest intense, psycho-horror from 'Paranormal Activity' creator, Oren Peli! Does he have another hit on his hands, or is Peli a victim of his own success? All this and the box office, DVD releases, and the big news from out of Hollywood. Join us for another great show!
