American animated television series
POPULARITY
Everyone loves a crossover, right? From the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour to that time Uncle Grandpa appeared on Steven Universe—remember Uncle Grandpa??—crossovers give our favorite cartoons the chance to interact with a whole new set of worlds and characters. So on this week's episode of Cartoon Time Machine, the Ani-Mates pitch their ideas for some more crossovers that we'd love to see happen for our favorite animated shows.
Welcome to CREATIVE BLOCK! This week's guest is Nick Edwards! Nick worked as director and story board artist on The Fungies, Summer Camp Island, Apple and Onion, Clarence, and Uncle Grandpa. He created two shorts for Cartoon Network, "Beetle and Bean" and "Allnimal." You can check out some of his current work in his comic Kingly, which he updates regularly on instagram! Along the way, VEE and SEAN chat with NICK about BEING THE INVASIVE SPECIES, HIS LOVE OF INEPT CHARACTERS, SHOW PITCH VS SHORT PITCH, and so much more! While we talk, we doodle on a Google Jamboard, where we draw from prompts we got on TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, THREADS, and PATREON. #103: Uncle Grandpa joins us to talk about Agents of Chaos - Sean Howe's great new biography of drug dealer, raconteur and High Times publisher Thomas King Forcade. Forcade was involved with many happening scenes: underground publishing, drug smuggling, the yippie movement, hippie capitalism, punk rock and, of course, High Times magazine, which was a culmination of all of those things, especially the drug smuggling.
Sometimes the ending can be beautiful, That's what we talk about this week, those endings that just stick with you. What's your favorite ending? This Episode goes out to our Uncle & Grandpa, Butch Harrigan. We love you, Give heaven some hell.
Of Course You Realize THIS Means Podcast - A Looney Tunes Discussion

Director Spotlight: Ryan Kramer After getting his start in animation, he was nominated for his first Annie for his work on Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness before being tapped by Pete Browngardt to work on Uncle Grandpa! These connections placed him perfectly to step into the director chair on a plethora of Looney Tunes shorts for the HBOMax series! Shorts Discussed: (There are more than what's on this list so just be aware that you may have to stop the show if you're watching along) Rhino Ya Don't - Sylvester and Tweety at the Zoo; inspired by the Friz Freleng Tweet Zoo (1957) Multiply and Conquer; Wile e finally catches Road Runner but less is more. Key-Tastrophe; Inspired by Daffy Doc directed by Bob Clampett. Ho Ho Go; Holiday Special short. They also acknowledge their full names of Daffy Duck and Porky Pig when Daffy mistakenly says their cats. Pest Coaster; the classic Bugs' in Drag gag returns. and more!! Uncle Grandpa faces his oldest nemesis, doors that he can't see the other side of, while Derek is face to face with his greatest nemesis, magic. Also, people who run for fun are made fun of. Other out of context quotes that almost made the title: "WHAT DOES THAT DO?!?! STOP USING SPELLS!" "You're a barbarian?!?!" and "I'm picturing Huey, Dewey, and Louie doing this and it's a disgusting image."Derek's mic has some wind interference (it was May in Florida, so understandably there were fans going), and so we've edited out as much as we can but some remains. For more and better future content, check out patreon.com/actuallynodice and for updates and other fun stuff follow us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
After meeting the Thorax, Uncle Grandpa agrees to team up and take down the CEO of Big Oil. And then he spends several hours walking to the office building because the Thorax says cars are evil. Derek has issues with unpaid interns. For more and better future content, check out patreon.com/actuallynodice and for updates and other fun stuff follow us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
After absolutely demolishing the Man in the Hat and Object 1 and Object 2 like the refrigerators they are, Uncle Grandpa befriends a purple hippo who wants to help UG get to the Thorax but doesn't actually know where the Thorax is. Thanks Obama. Also, fact check: some sources say that hippos kill closer to 3k people a year. Mosquitos don't kill people, mosquito born illnesses kill people. But snakes kill the most amount of people a year (approx. 138k), followed by dogs.Follow us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice and on Patreon at patreon.com/actuallynodice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
This week The TV Boys sit down to discuss Jemaine Clement. Actor, Comedian, Director, Writer, he does it all and does it so well! We love him in Flight of the Conchords and so much more, so listen in!
This episode was very nearly named “How Does A Hat Take Thunder Damage?”, “You Punch The Hat, Which Is The Dumbest Thing I Ever…” and "They Burst Out of the Hat, They Are Screaming, They Are Also On Fire, and Then They Die". If you haven't guessed by now, Uncle Grandpa meets a Man in a Hat and then makes him play a game, and that game is combat.Follow us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice and on Patreon at patreon.com/actuallynodice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
After the almost completely ado episode of last week, Derek takes it slow so he can show off his brainchild, Roanoke, while Uncle Grandpa sets out on his first adventure in a long while.Find us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice and Patreon here: patreon.com/actuallynodice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Gear up for an Uncle Grandpa Holiday Special! Derek takes the helm as the DM in the modern fantasy setting of Roanoke, the colony that was never lost, as 3en plays Uncle Grandpa as he navigates his way through definitely not Dr. Seuss inspired satirical adventures. Our second full season of Chaos&Dragons hits the editing table next week, and so while we wait for that please enjoy this Uncle Grandpa series until then!Find us on Twitter @ActuallyNoDice and Patreon here: patreon.com/actuallynodice See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Feb 26 Seg 3 A Uncle Grandpa Walk Off
After being adultnapped, Monte attempts to work his captors, Derek forgets everything that happened in the last two episodes, and Uncle Grandpa (definitely not 3en) forgets what a coat is. The Chaotic Law of this episode was "Can I Buy A Question" where all PC clarification questions cost them 1 gp. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

There have been some amazing crossovers and collaborations in the world of Steven Universe - "Say Uncle" with the "Uncle Grandpa" team, Save The Light with Grumpyface Studios, the "Mindful Education" episode with animator Tokafumi Hori, and of course, Monopoly. So creator Rebecca Sugar, and Co-Executive Producers Kat Morris and Joe Johnston return to detail how each was conceived and executed, and to share some anecdotal stories that happened along the journey to bring each collaboration and crossover to the fans.
Happy Thanksgiving! We here at Martinis and the Macabre would like to thank you, dear listeners, for all of the support you have given us this year! You guys are amazing! When Erica and Billy were trying to decide on a topic to cover for the first Thanksgiving podcast, they wondered, "What do people always say they're thankful for on Thanksgiving?" The obvious response was, "Family, dumbasses!" (Though they're not quite sure who responded or if it was all in their heads.) But those dumbasses ran with that idea and perverted it and here it is! Family...of a different kind. Gather 'round with Uncle Grandpa and Cousin Mama, 'cause this episode is all about the delightful history of inbreeding! Thank you to Phazer765 for the song-Random Bits-at the end of this episode, as well as the show art. You can find him on SoundCloud, YouTube, and our website, www.MartinisandtheMacabre.com. Hosted by Ken Napzok, the producer of the popular Schmoes Know Podcast, The Napzok Files is a show about life, the universe, and everything. (Douglas Adams would agree.) Each episode Ken welcomes the important, cool, and fancy people in his life onto the airwaves to explore, explain, and exclaim the interesting and entertaining. On this episode, Ken gets to catch up with one of his oldest friends, Casey Alexander, who just so happens to be a very successful man about the animation town having worked for years on SpongeBob Squarepants and, now, Uncle Grandpa. Find out about Casey's baseball skills, getting recognized after wrestling Ken on mattresses in a friend's front yard, and the creative process behind one of history's most successful animated programs ever.
