Aussi surprenant que cela puisse paraître, il y a 50 ans, Paris était la seule capitale européenne à ne pas avoir de club digne de ce nom. C'est donc sur la passion du foot que s'est fondé le PSG, un club qui aura connu diverses époques, de grands hauts, de grands bas, jusqu'à l'arrivée du Qatar et de ses milliards. Jour J, c'est le magazine de l'actualité du temps long. Celle que l'on décrypte et que l'on comprend. Car les évènements d'hier éclairent toujours ceux d'aujourd'hui. La récente affaire de ce ballon chinois survolant le territoire américain et suspecté de vouloir recueillir des informations, a été amplement relatée par les médias du monde entier. Mais l'utilisation de ballons espions est loin d'être une nouveauté. Et c'est à la France qu'il faut attribuer leur invention. En effet, le premier ballon de ce type a pris son envol en 1794. Soit seulement onze ans après le premier vol dans un ballon à air chaud organisé par les frères Montgolfier. Ce ballon, baptisé l'"Entreprenant", avait été conçu par un chimiste, Jean-Marie-Joseph Coutelle, qui avait pris la direction d'une compagnie militaire d'aérostiers. Gonflé à l'hydrogène, ce ballon pouvait emporter sa nacelle jusqu'à une hauteur de 500 mètres. À cette époque, la France révolutionnaire est en guerre contre une partie de l'Europe. On décide donc d'utiliser l'"Entreprenant" pour repérer les mouvements des troupes ennemies. Les observations faites par les aérostiers, au cours de la bataille de Fleurus, le 26 juin 1794, ont contribué à la victoire de l'armée française. Ces ballons espions, chargés de la reconnaissance de l'armée adverse, seront souvent utilisés par la suite. Surtout lancés par les Nordistes, on en voit plusieurs survoler les champs de bataille de la guerre de Sécession. Il ne s'agit d'ailleurs pas seulement de ballons en vol libre. Certains sont des ballons captifs, rattachés au sol par un câble. Ces ballons jouent aussi un rôle important durant la guerre franco-prussienne de 1870, et notamment pendant le siège de Paris. En effet, ils devaient s'élever de la capitale pour surveiller l'évolution des troupes ennemies. Mais ils servent aussi à convoyer le courrier et l'un d'eux transporte même le ministre de l'Intérieur, Léon Gambetta, vers la province, où il doit animer la résistance. On verra ces ballons réapparaître, durant la Première Guerre mondiale, où ils sont utilisés par les Allemands pour observer les lignes ennemies. I was first introduced to ppg when someone foot launched along side a hot air balloon flight I was crewing for, then rediscovered it watching Tucker. In 2019 I taught myself kiting, then went to Mojo's Flight School in Charlotte NC and got PPG2 rated. My first flight was in February 2022, and I'm coming up on 80 flights and 30 hours. I have a fascination with flying on the bare minimum of power and I'm most famous for my Chinese AliExpress paramotor saga. Viele lieben Ballons. Heute gibt es ja allerlei in Buchstabenform, als Torten, Palmen, Smileys etc. Früher kannten wir nur den runden Ballon. Es war ein Glück, wenn er mit Helium gefüllt wurde und einige Zeit nach oben drängte. An Hochzeiten wurden Ballons mit Karten steigen gelassen und derjenige Ballon, dessen Karte zurückgeschickt wurde vom weitest entferntesten Ort war der Siegerballon. Manchmal denke ich, ist unser Leben gleich dem eines solchen Ballons: bei der Geburt wird uns der Lebensatem analog zum Helium eingehaucht. Wir lernen zu leben, steigen auf, erreichen Höhen und auch Tiefen und am Ende des Lebens sinken wir wieder, kehren dorthin zurück woher wir kamen. Ursprung und Ende und dazwischen unser Leben.
