Former West Ham striker Tony Cottee highlights where new manager David Moyes should look to strengthen this month, while Sky Sports News Scotland reporter Luke Shanley discusses the title race and where Rangers and Celtic may look to add. Plus, we have news from Arsenal, Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Wolves, Brighton and more!
Moussa Dembele, we love you. I'm sorry that I missed your prime. We discuss the current state of Tottenham and Manchester United. Leicester City and how good they look. Pulisic's hat trick and Chelsea. Sergino Dest and why it's exciting that he selected USMNT. We also admit that GGG hasn't yet had the full squad in place because of injuries (Adams and Weah). First up, the crew discusses Heynckes' return and the team's potential before they get in to the Freiburg match. How did the 2013 iteration of Bayern Munich fare four years later? David Alaba and Kingsley Coman seem to be coming around nicely, but is a match where Christian Streich's Freiburg never really looked to go forward a good test? Moving on, the trio chat about the Celtic match and the merits of Sebastian Rudy over Javi Martinez at defensive midfield. FCB's high team press is mentioned with a special shout out to Arjen Robben as the Dutchman provided a remarkable defensive performance. Susie questions the lack of control at the second half, and whether it was Arturo Vidal's doing, but Christopher and Maurice are thinking the team is just looking ahead. (It gets a little tasty here, folks.) They all get on board the Joshua Kimmich hype train-- wondering if he might eclipse legend Philipp Lahm-- before they question Brendan Rodgers' decision to start without Celtic's most potent offensive player, Moussa Dembele. Words on Sven Ulreich (and two clean sheets!) close out the podcast as Bayern faces brutal matches in the next coming weeks: RB Leipzig in Pokal and the league, followed by a top-of-the-table Dortmund match. Thank you, as always, for listening! We'll be back with you after the Leipzig Pokal encounter. Mia san mia.

It's all change at the top, and no we're not just talking about the latest events at Ibrox! Krys is back hosting for the first time this season as John takes a well earned break, we suspect for Valentine's Day as he goes to see his first love - Aberdeen. Don't worry though, we have more than one Aberdeen supporting John so Krys isn't alone like that one podcast back in the day. There's an in depth look back at the Scottish Cup fifth round ties from the weekend. Krys breaks out a stat about back to back hat tricks after Moussa Dembele's feat, while there's chat about the lack of decent surfaces and the usual back and forth over the merits of artificial pitches given some of the scenes we saw in the matches. We bemoan the Champions League's stranglehold over live TV slots, we offer up an interesting alternative possibility for the Rangers job, and we muse over the interesting switch in fortunes for the Renfrewshire derby teams. Of course, it's the usual story for the charity bet from last week, so we pick another one with less that can go wrong. Hopefully. Thanks once again to the good folk at McBookie. Keep up to date with us on the sffpodcast Twitter account. Feel free to interact with us there and even to give us some feedback on the podcast. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums for all your predictor and forum needs!

Of course, it's the usual story for the charity bet from last week, so we pick another one with less that can go wrong. Hopefully. Thanks once again to the good folk at McBookie. Welcome back to another podcast from the Randalstown Hoops were we look back as Celtic restored their 10-point lead at the top of the table after overcoming Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Home manager Brendan Rodgers had changed to three at the back to allow Leigh Griffiths to play alongside Moussa Dembele up front. But Inverness kept them at bay until Scott Sinclair pounced to fire home after the break. Griffiths tapped in before Caley Thistle's Greg Tansey was sent off and Tom Rogic blasted home the third. That second yellow card, which came moments after the second goal, well and truly ended Caley Thistle's hopes of frustrating Celtic for a second time this season. And Celtic, whose only dropped points this season came at Caledonian Stadium, cruised to a sixth straight domestic clean sheet to stretch their lead over Aberdeen, who have also played one game more than the reigning champions. Celtic kept their Champions League hopes alive by battling back to draw with Borussia Monchengladbach. Scott Sinclair curled a shot against the post for the visitors before Lars Stindl volleyed Gladbach ahead. Andre Hahn fired off the crossbar as the hosts pressed for a second and Celtic's Moussa Dembele drew a save from goalkeeper Yann Sommer. Dembele was then fouled by Julian Korb, who was sent off, and the striker converted the resulting penalty. Brendan Rodgers' side, who face Barcelona in Glasgow on 23 November, move on to two points at the bottom of Group C, trailing Gladbach by two points and final group opponents Manchester City by five. We here from an old interview from Lubo Moravcik where he talks about playing in oldco games .However, his arrival in Scotland back in November 1998 may have been greeted with a mixture of scorn and ignorance by the overwhelming majority of the Scottish media, but when he left in June 2002, it was to universal acclaim. Last off all this week we have a 20 min interview from Celtic legend The The Quiet Assassin David Hay who looks back at his time with Celtic and Scotland .
Welcome back to another weekend podcast from the Randalstown Hoops were we look back at Celtic's 4-0 win over Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium. Brendan Rodgers made wholesale changes to the team which booked their place in the Betfred Cup final against Aberdeen with a 1-0 win over Newco last Sunday. Those players drafted in went out to impress from the start and winger Patrick Roberts scored in the third minute with a fine drive, although County did fashion several chances themselves. Indeed, Staggies defender Andrew Davies hit the post with a header after the break but in the 83rd minute midfielder Stuart Armstrong clinched the points with a fine finish before substitutes Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele added further goals in added time. The Hoops extended their unbeaten domestic run to 13 games and go further clear of Aberdeen, whom they visit on Saturday. County, meanwhile, have had gone eight games without a win although boss Jim McIntyre will take some heart from battling performance before the late collapse. Rodgers made eight changes to the side which started against the Light Blues at Hampden. Emilio Izaguirre, Cristian Gamboa, Armstrong, Callum McGregor, Roberts, Ryan Christie, Liam Henderson and Leigh Griffiths all came into the side. Celtic moved nine points clear at the top of the Premiership after beating Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Tom Rogic's controlled half-volley put the reigning champions ahead midway through the first half. Dons goalkeeper Joe Lewis denied Scott Sinclair, Moussa Dembele and Rogic as the visitors pressed for a second after the interval. Having struggled to create, Aberdeen had a late flurry and Craig Gordon prevented an Erik Sviatchenko own goal. Two victories over Celtic at Pittodrie last season had kept the Dons close to Ronny Deila's team until the last few weeks of the season. But Derek McInnes' men drop from second to fourth in a tight table having played a game more than Celtic, who they meet in next month's Scottish League Cup final. We all so hear from brendan rodgers post match interview where he talks to Sky Sports about the game . Our Featured games this week we look back at 3 games from the the past. 1986-05-03: St. Mirren 0-5 Celtic Celtic snatch the championship by edging out Heart of Midlothian on the last day of the campaign. The margin was on goal difference, as Celtic beat St Mirren 5-0 at Love Street and Hearts fall to two late goals from Dundee at Dens Park. 1988-05-14: Celtc 2-1 Dundee Utd, Scottish Cup Final Difficult to begin to understand the atmosphere that surrounded this game. For the Celtic players, it was a chance to seal a memorable double for the club in our Centenary Season having wrapped up the league earlier on. For Dundee Utd, it was a chance to finally break their hoodoo in the Scottish Cup having lost countless number of finals to date (inc the previous cup final in 1987 by St Mirren). Despite being league winners, this was not going to be an easy game for Celtic, and Dundee Utd under the legendary Jim McLean were a very good and entertaining side with some quality players. 1991-03-17: Celtic 2-0 Rangers, Scottish Cup, St Patrick's Day massacre. Cracking win for Celtic after seeing us lose a man first (Peter Grant red card). Huns lost three players and a great morale boosting win saw us KO the huns. First half goals from Gerry Creaney & Shug (deflected free-kick) sealed the win, and no amount of posturing from the Huns could get them near us. Peter Grant made an ass of himself by getting sent off stupidly. He conceded a free-kick outside our box (first yellow) and then charged the free-kick down (second yellow) to get himself a red! Thankfully we survived. Great win as the support sang "Happy Birthday St Patrick" all day long.. Wonderful.
