Para lograr un cierre exitoso, es importante seguir ciertos pasos. Por eso, en este episodio contamos con el conocimiento de Pablo Sanchez, que es experto en Comportamiento Humano y ha ayudado a miles de personas en Marketing Digital, liderazgo y cierres de ventas para escalar sus negocios. “Lo que la gente conoce como ‘vender' en realidad es ‘cerrar'. La venta es transformar al cliente en vendedor y eso cambia las reglas del juego. Muchos vendedores se ponen a hablar y no escuchan. En cambio, cuando empezamos a analizar el proceso nos damos cuenta de que simplemente tenemos que hacerle un par de preguntas a la persona y, cuando la persona responde, por ejemplo, el porqué quiere comprar este producto, ese consumidor ya me está vendiendo a mí. Automáticamente el cliente es el vendedor y eso me produce el cierre y finalmente la venta”, explica nuestro invitado. El vendedor se transforma en un puente entre el cliente y el artículo que ofrece. Se convierte en un guía experto que simplifica y enriquece la experiencia de compra. “Yo simplemente soy un facilitador del proceso, porque sino la pelea la tengo conmigo, porque yo le quiero vender, le quiero sacar el dinero y eso es muy complicado porque muchas personas tienen problemas para comprar, pero eso no tiene que ver con nosotros. Si la persona tiene un problema, tiene una solución y yo tengo la respuesta para eso que quiere”, sostiene nuestro especialista, y agrega: “Si esa persona no necesita mi producto luego no voy a tener una buena relación con ese consumidor. Las mejores ventas ocurren cuando son relacionales, no transaccionales. Es pensar en esa persona como un ‘todo' y saber que en un futuro puedo seguir ofreciéndole más cosas”. Conectar con el cliente implica escuchar activamente, mostrar empatía, comunicarse de manera clara y transparente, ser auténtico, centrarse en sus necesidades y ofrecer un seguimiento personalizado. Estas estrategias contribuyen al éxito a largo plazo del negocio. “Lo que quiero es conectar subconscientemente lo más rápido posible con esa persona. Una forma es escuchando y para eso necesito hacer algún tipo de pregunta, pero sobre todo es involucrarme en la situación de esa persona. No es preguntar por preguntar. El proceso de ventas implica conectar emocionalmente con ese consumidor. Una persona va a comprar no porque el producto es bueno, sino porque se sintió comprendida con su problema”, subraya Pablo. Las objeciones de los clientes son parte natural del proceso de venta y representan preocupaciones o dudas que los consumidores pueden tener antes de realizar una compra. Abordarlas de manera efectiva es importante para cerrar la venta, pero prevenirlas antes de que sucedan es crucial: “Lo que buscamos es que no ocurran las objeciones de los clientes”, afirma nuestro invitado, y añade: “Si el proceso fue correctamente realizado, no deberían haber objeciones. La objeción más común es el precio del producto, pero no es una objeción como tal, sino que es un problema a la ausencia de valor. Si la persona no está viendo el valor, el problema es del vendedor porque no lo está comunicando bien. Si comunico bien el valor pero la persona no tiene esa necesidad, no me lo va a comprar. Entonces voy a estar molestando a esa persona y van a aparecer más objeciones. Normalmente, las objeciones ocurren más del lado del vendedor, que se puede capacitar para recibir cada vez menos objeciones”. Al intentar cerrar una venta, es clave evitar ciertos errores que pueden sabotear el proceso y alejar al cliente, como el caso de no prepararnos antes de la negociación: “Tenemos que entender a la persona que tenemos enfrente. El proceso de ventas ocurre antes de conocer al consumidor”. “Otro error es trasladar los propios valores al cliente, es decir, que como yo no compraría este producto o servicio, mi cliente tampoco. Esos miedos hacen que la persona no termine comprando. Si estamos desapegados de la venta, podemos usar ciertos tipos de mecanismos para que la persona apegada sea el cliente. Esto me permite tener control en la mente de la persona. Las ventas no son un juego lógico, sino de emociones, y el mayor desafío es que nunca nos educaron para jugar con las emociones”, lamenta nuestro especialista. Conocer las métricas de venta nos sirve para evaluar el desempeño de un equipo de ventas, identificar áreas de mejora y tomar decisiones informadas para impulsar el crecimiento del negocio. “Tenemos que saber en qué momento el consumidor se desconectó de la venta, cuántas objeciones estoy obteniendo en cada conversación, cómo me está percibiendo esa persona, qué tipo de preguntas estoy haciendo, etc.”, enumera Pablo. Otro dato importante es saber cuántas conversaciones estoy teniendo con los clientes, de esas conversaciones cuántas son cualificadas y de esas cuántas se concretan: “Si genero una venta cada 10 personas no está bien, porque pierdo mucho tiempo. Tenemos que ver el motivo y analizar cada uno de nuestros pasos en la venta. Una tasa de conversión decente es cerrar una de cada tres ventas”, remata nuestro invitado. In this episode we change tack a little and look at possible medium to long term implications of not addressing your hotel price competitiveness. The loss of booking increase is an obvious short term potential loss, but looking further out the challenges are more subtle, occurring slowly overtime. In much the same way we see with the current climate crisis, with small temperature changes over the years, these small incremental missed opportunities could have a larger, more dramatic impact. CardioNerd (Daniel Ambinder) and series co-chairs Mark Belkin (AHFT Fellow, University of Chicago) and Karan Desai (Cardiologist, Johns Hopkins), join fellow lead, Dr. Pablo Sanchez (FIT, Stanford) for a discussion with Dr. Ryan Tedford (Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina) about Right Ventricular (RV) predominant cardiogenic shock. Pearls and Quotes - RV Predominant Cardiogenic Shock The degree of RV dysfunction and failure are modulated by stretching its capacity to tolerate insults from deranged afterload, preload, and contractility.Afterload insults are MUCH LESS tolerated than other insults and broadly comprise the most common pathophysiologic cause of both acute and chronic RV failure.RV and left ventricular (LV) function are anatomically and physiologically connected.  Progressive derangements in RV function can lead to the deadly “RV spiral,” in which poor RV function causes lower LV preload, leading to hypotension, and thus worsening RV perfusion and function.In RV failure/shock, some basic tenets including treating reversible causes, optimizing preload and afterload, and using inotropes and/or temporary MCS for as limited time as possible.Many acute RV failure patients can recover, but multiorgan injury plays an important role. What is the basic difference between RV dysfunction and failure?Dysfunction: Abnormalities in systolic/diastolic function of the RV, but not necessarily to the point of leading to end-organ perfusion defects. RV dysfunction leads to poor outcomes regardless of mechanism.1Failure: Clinical syndrome of inability of RV to maintain adequate output despite adequate preload. 1 How is the RV different from the LV and what impact does it have on pathophysiology and hemodynamics?The LV and RV originate from different embryologic “heart fields.”1,2The RV wall is thinner and more compliant and has only two layers (instead of 3 like the LV).3 Furthermore, unlike the LV which has a significant proportion of endocardial and epicardial transverse myocardial fibers, the RV myocardial fibers are aligned in a longitudinal plane for the most part. Thus, a more significant proportion of RV systolic contraction is longitudinal – base of the ventricle moving towards the apex.The RV is crescent-shaped and has a large surface-to-volume ratio meaning smaller inward motion ejects the same stroke volume. 1Hemodynamically, the RV takes blood from a low-pressure venous system and gives it to a distensible system with low impedance (the normal pulmonary circuit at baseline typically has a resistance one-tenth of the systemic resistance). Imaging studies were suspicious for cardiac and pulmonary sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis was confirmed on biopsy. Given the high risk of future cardiac events our patient underwent a dual chamber ICD implantation. He was started on prednisone and methotrexate for immunosuppression. It most commonly involves the pulmonary system, but other organ systems can be involved including the heart. Sarcoidosis typically affects young adults, and its etiology is still uncertain. 2. What is Cardiac Sarcoidosis and how is it diagnosed? Cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) can occur alone or with systemic disease and depending on the cardiac sites of involvement, can present as conduction system disease, ventricular arrhythmia, heart failure, or sudden cardiac death. 3. How is Cardiac Sarcoidosis diagnosed? Diagnosis of CS is challenging as the gold standard is endomyocardial biopsy (EMB), though sensitivity of EMB is low given the often-patchy tissue involvement. Societal guidelines on the diagnosis of CS require either a positive EMB or biopsy-confirmed extracardiac sarcoidosis with evidence of secondary criteria to suggest cardiac involvement - unexplained VT, high grade AV block, third degree AV block, LVEF

Pablo Sanchez is a Fire Photographer who is based out of Orange County and spends much of his free time photographing firefighters. Discussing why these faculty chose careers in cardiology and their passion for their work are essential components to inspiring interest in the field. Each talk will feature a cardiology faculty from an underrepresented group, within at least one of several domains: gender, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, international graduate status, disadvantaged backgrounds, etc. Featured faculty will also represent a variety of practice settings, academic ranks, subspecialties (e.g. clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, etc), and career paths (e.g. division chief, journal editor, society leadership, industry consultant, etc). Faculty will be interviewed by fellows-in-training for a two-part discussion that will focus on: 1) Faculty's content area of expertise2) Faculty's personal and professional narrative As part of their narrative, faculty  will discuss their unique path to cardiology and their current professional role with particular attention to challenges, successes, and advice for junior trainees. Specific topics will be guided by values relevant to trainees, including issues related to mentorship, work-life integration, and family planning. To help guide this important initiative, the CardioNerds Narratives Council was founded to provide mentorship and guidance in producing the Narratives series with regards to guests and content. He began his journey in medicine at The Ohio State University and went on to do residency, cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology training at Emory University. After graduation he worked for 8 years in private practice, and made the switch back to academics and came back to Ohio State to continue his career.  In 2009, he was named associate dean of admissions and in 10 years, the College of Medicine went from 13%  underrepresented minorities to 26% of the 2019 entering class, and in the last 6 years women have outnumbered men in the incoming classes. I always liked the X-Files poster with the ufo and the words "i want t believe". I have always believed in extraterrestrials and have always enjoyed reading and watching documentaries about them. I met Pablo during a European tour of Billy the Kid and while we were building our friendship we discovered the same passion for particular topics, between reality and sci fi.  Hence the birth of the Anunnaki Connection.  Pablo plays guitar in the straight edge hardcore band from the Costa Rica Billy the Kid.
