In this episode, we explore the intricate world of parental alienation, drawing insights from Dr. William Burnett's five-factor model.Dr. Burnett, a seasoned child psychiatrist, shares his extensive experience in dealing with parental alienation, a phenomenon where a child rejects one parent without valid reasons. The five-factor model, comprising contact resistance, previous positive relationship, absence of abuse or neglect, alienating behaviors by the favored parent, and lack of psychopathology in the child, serves as a diagnostic tool for identifying parental alienation. In an engaging conversation, Dr. Burnett discusses the 17 primary alienation strategies and emphasizes the importance of recognizing true cases versus false allegations. Acknowledging that parental alienation is a complex issue, Dr. Burnett highlights the need for thorough evaluation, considering all factors simultaneously. As we navigate through the discussion, we gain valuable insights into the strategies employed by alienating parents, such as bad-mouthing, interference with parenting time, and portraying the other parent as dangerous. Dr. Burnett underlines the significance of distinguishing between normal behaviors in divorce situations and the pervasive, intense patterns indicative of parental alienation.Join us in "The Aftermath," where we peel back the layers of divorce, custody battles, and family trauma, sharing inspiring stories, expert insights, and actionable tips.     Slam the Gavel welcomes Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D. She has been working  with families, couples, groups, and individuals.  Dr. Steinberg has specialized in working with children and adults abused as children for more than 40 years. We discussed topics of the Coercive Control SB 1141.    She worked in the courts as an expert on sexual abuse with children, adults, and in the workplace.   Her interest and background grew naturally to embrace the psychological abuse of Parent Alienation, which she has specialized in for the last 10 years.  This includes false accusations of sexual abuse.    She offers a Four Day Intensive Family Reunification program for Alienated Parents and their alienated children.  It takes place in Los Angeles.    She is an expert witness in Parent Alienation in the Childrens' Court and Family Court.  She can also testify to the treatment of members of the Alienated Family and assist with Court Appearances.    Dr. Steinberg is a trained Mediator and has mediated for the Superior Court. This book was written for the Alienated Parent, whether in the beginning or advanced stages. So many reactions, such as:     "You must have done something to your son/daughter to have caused them to not talk to you?"     "When people get divorced, the blame is 50/50; so what did YOU do?"     In therapy: "You have to listen to your son/daughter without getting defensive or telling them what they are saying is not true. It is their reality!"     "Your child is old enough to choose not to live with you", at times said when the child is 11, 12, 13, 14 and up years of age! Children cannot drive, drink, vote and do many other things until they reach a certain age. Why is a brainwashed child legally supported in rejecting a once beloved parent?"Your son/daughter is an adult. They couldn't still be under the influence of the other parent and his/her family"The answer to all the above is "ALL OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE FALSE, FALSE, FALSE!"     Despite the naysayers who insist that there is no such thing as Parental Alienation, there is! It has been thoroughly well-documented and researched since the 1930's. PARENTAL ALIENATION IS CHILD ABUSE and it is time for the Courts, Attorneys, Guardians Ad Litem, The Department of Child Protective Services, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Physicians, Families and Friends, to recognize it for what it is and put a stop to it.GIVE A COPY OF,  “You're NOT Crazy, Overcoming Parent/Child Alienation,” TO ALL OF THE ABOVE SO THEY CAN BE EDUCATED ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE PHENOMENON To reach Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D.:  lynnsteinberg.comSupport the show(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass  USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSEhttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)

So many reactions, such as:"You must have done something to your son/daughter to have caused them to not talk to you?""When people get divorced, the blame is 50/50; so what did YOU do?"In therapy: "You have to listen to your son/daughter without getting defensive or telling them what they are saying is not true. It is their reality!""Your child is old enough to choose not to live with you", at times said when the child is 11, 12, 13, 14 and up years of age! PARENTAL ALIENATION IS CHILD ABUSE and it is time for the Courts, Attorneys, Guardians Ad Litem, The Department of Child Protective Services, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Physicians, Families and Friends, to recognize it for what it is and put a stop to it.GIVE A COPY OF, “You're NOT Crazy, Overcoming Parent/Child Alienation,” TO ALL OF THE ABOVE SO THEY CAN BE EDUCATED ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE PHENOMENON To reach Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D.: lynnsteinberg.com Support the show(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri) http://beentheregotout.com/ https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSE http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/ Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.com

In this episode Maria Dolores of Scandinavia introduces us to the whole concept of The Human Contract. The Human contract is a movement that Maria has spent 20,000 hours researching and distilling into what she calls The Seven principles of Human Dignity. The seven principles are based on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Human Contract is an opportunity for all of us, to become and to remain accountable to self and therefore to society. The Human Contract is about deepening governance and improving civil courage at a personal, an interpersonal and a global or universal level. We all have rights, but along with our rights we have responsibilities. The Human Contract draws our attention to these rights and responsibilities in a clear, accessible and succinct way. Our personal rights and responsibilities pertain to body, thoughts and emotions. We have interpersonal rights and responsibilities around freedom of expression, movement and life. We can for example live with whomever we wish, wherever we wish, but not at a cost to another. The clarity and balance in Maria's choice of language is a pen picture, like no other. The seventh principle speaks of our collective rights and responsibilities. We need a united and raised collective consciousness to address major environmental, societal and global issues. Maria has learned her greatest lessons in the school of life and shares with us the wisdom she has gained from the three most significant emotional growth spurts in her life so far, namely the passing of her mum, the birth of her daughter and the trauma of living in an abusive marriage. As expert by experience, Maria has valuable advice for others that find themselves bullied, belittled, alienated, stonewalled and criticised. Gas lighting can break your spirit and strip you of your dignity. It can be difficult to evidence the extent of the controlling behaviour, given its insidious nature. Thresholds of the severity and effect of the alleged abuse can be difficult to establish also, with the result that, without that one person that believes in you and is willing to advocate for you, it can seem easier to suffer on in silence. Just when Maria felt that she couldn't endure it anymore, a civilly conscious individual, was willing to get into Maria's model of reality, to hear and decipher fact from narrative. Having validated Maria, contextual argument was harvested and was considered sufficiently reasonable to begin building Maria's case and resultantly, Maria's strength. At that point Maria could begin to take her power back, rediscover herself, her values, her desires and plan to realise her dreams in healthy ways, within healthy relationships going forward. Coercive control remains a complex offense to police. The Human Contract deepens governance and civil courage and aims to emancipate victims of all kinds of abuse even where laws have not yet changed to protect sufferers of same. The time is NOW!

This week on the Blended Kingdom Families Podcast, we talked about the topic of child manipulation and parent alienation. Child manipulation and parent alienation are tools used by the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. It comes from feelings of guilt, shame, and fear which all come from the enemy. When you manipulate a child it isolates them from the other parent and discourages a healthy relationship. Scott and Vanessa discuss that it can happen subtly, directly, and indirectly. As parents we need to be aware of how our words and actions effect our children.

We recently discovered that parent alienation is now both child abuse and family violence, it is more prevalent than ever, violating millions of children and parents around the world.

One of the unfortunate and not uncommon outcomes of divorce involving children is parental alienation. Alienation is even more likely to occur in cases that involve litigation. Because parental alienation can appear to be the norm, divorcing couples may expect that whoever ‘loses' in the child custody proceedings will become an absentee parent. In fact, about 22 million parents in the U.S. alone don't remain in the lives of their children post-divorce. And it's not just dads that are affected; mothers suffer from alienation as well, resulting in severed family ties and relationships. In this episode of Divorce, Healthy! attorney and author Ashley-Nicole Russell, of https://anrlaw.com/ (ANR Law), talks with http://www.gingergentile.com/ (Ginger Gentile), director of the documentary film http://erasingfamily.org/ (Erasing Family), about the trauma that children suffer when they don't see a parent after a divorce. Ginger reveals what most parents aren't aware of: that children are conflict-averse, and being forced through family court proceedings can be devastating for them. Even if you are forced into litigation, you are in control of how you choose to act and react, so you can still be an effective parent and role model to your child despite the circumstances. Kids are always watching, so it's crucial that you model healthy and effective conflict resolution strategies.  Ginger also discusses the importance of choosing your actions and framing divorce as a positive movement. Even if you end up feeling like the rejected parent, always show your children that you love them and put that relationship first. Children are often unwillingly thrust into these situations, so it's essential to put in the effort to avoid conflict. Remember, you are not a victim in this situation, and you always have a say in what you want to do and the outcome you want to achieve. Ginger recommends looking for a support group, a safe space to vent your emotions outside of the prying eyes of the public and your children. There are numerous resources and allies available to help you reach your goal– a healthy, loving relationship with your children despite your divorce.   When should a child be separated from their parents? Today's show is about Parental  Alienation which is a term developed by Richard A. Gardner in the early 1980's. This term refers to what is described in which a child on an ongoing basis, belittles and insults one  parent without justification. This could also be due to combinations of factors, including information that is given to the child by the other parent which is what happens in most cases. There are different levels of alienation and up to eight symptoms that can become present in the child.  No parent is perfect. And children do not get to choose their parents. And in many cases what we are seeing is a rise in parents breaking up which also effects the children. Most children whose parents live apart from each other long for a good relationship with both parents and want to be raised by both parents. However when their is constant fighting, abuse or addiction where does one draw the line? And in some cases one parent may just be upset about the break up and will alienate the child from the other parent.  Join me and my guest as we discuss this important topic. It is very important that we raise happy, productive and emotionally stable children. If your marriage or relationship failed let's not fail in parenting ourchildren by learning how to Co-Parent and let's put an end to Parent Alienation.
