Join Paulette and Donna for this deep dive into Narcissistic Marriage awareness, survival and recovery. Donna has been there and knows her stuff. She can help and her story will shine the light for so many. My Story When my second marriage began to unravel after I thought God gave me the love of my life – I was afraid, confused, and utterly lost. After becoming physically ill and heartbroken with the stress of, what I later understood to be, emotional abuse I finally broke free after years of trying to help us and change him. It was time to save myself and save my girls from losing their capable and up until then peaceful mom.I often felt dismissed, was left alone a lot and started to feel taken for granted and that I didn't have a real partner. Trying to share with him what I was concerned about or feeling, in an attempt to relate, was consistently taken as criticism. This would bring the shaming, blaming or gaslighting — a term I didn't even understand at the time, but became very familiar with. I questioned was I the crazy one here, but my gut told me I was not. I was up against too much and I was desperate for answers. It was maddening and felt like I Join Donna's Breakthrough group NOW! https://donnashinwellness.com/basic-breakthrough-group/ SIGN UP FOR my Better Divorce Blueprint PROGRAM: https://betterdivorceblueprint.com/ WEBSITE - resources for those in need of Certified Divorce Coaching and Private Mediation Services : https://betterdivorceacademy.com/ SOCIAL MEDIA - bit.ly/betterdivorceacademy Buy my book and workbook: Better Divorce Blueprint https://betterdivorceblueprint.com/ RESOURCES - https://betterdivorceacademy.com/reso... About Sydney: Sydney Ryker is an entrepreneur, business owner, and transformational speaker who started her journey eight years ago sleeping on a mattress on the floor. She has driven a health company with over 7,000 active customers and multiple 8-figure global sales organizations, speaking on dozens of stages worldwide. Sydney empowers individuals through her "Identity Deconstruction" method, guiding them to shed societal conditioning and rediscover their true selves. With the support of ancient spiritual practices and her mentor, Mitch, she helps people find peace and fulfillment within their authentic selves without needing anything outside of themselves. Takeaways Identity deconstruction is a journey of self-discovery. Women often feel societal pressure to conform to beauty standards. True empowerment comes from within, not from external validation. Integrity is crucial for personal and professional success. Freedom is achieved through discipline and commitment. Rebuilding self-identity requires letting go of societal masks. The process of healing involves facing uncomfortable emotions. Storytelling can be a powerful tool for personal growth. No story, no problem: reframing narratives can liberate us. We are designed to receive love and abundance when we let go of need. YOGA IS MY TRUE PASSION... The practice found me over ten years ago and has followed me around with nurturing love ever since. My yoga experience began at Charlestown Yoga in Boston, Massachusetts while volunteering for a non-profit organization that offered alternative healing services to veterans. In exchange, I was able to take yoga classes at the studio. I soon became a regular, sometimes taking two, even three classes each day. Simultaneously, I experienced a couple of unexpected lay-offs from my jobs in online advertising sales and this opened up some space to make what was initially a physical practice a very spiritual journey for me. With the completion of my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2007, I began to pursue my teaching career in yoga. First, managing the studio part-time and then, teaching as many classes as I could in and around Boston. This journey through my practice has paved the path for many of the challenges I would face later on in a way that nothing else could have prepared me for. In 2011, at age 35, I was teaching yoga and running a Bed & Breakfast on Martha's Vineyard when I was diagnosed with stage 2/3 triple-negative breast cancer. My life turned upside down. Planning a wedding turned into deciding on a treatment plan for the following year. 16 chemo treatments, two surgeries and 30 days of radiation is what followed. That is what my treatment looked like on paper, but I believe I was saved because of yoga, the community at MGH, and my 'tribe'. Students would pop up with messages of love and support when I least expected it, at hospitals, on the street, along with various other places and in moments that you couldn't predict if you tried. I practiced hot power yoga the day after chemo with a bald head, surrounded by my tribe. This is what yoga is, a place where we can turn things off and look inside ourselves, without judgment or ego but with vulnerability and humble love. I am 7 years cancer-free, a wife and a mother of two small children. I have faith and hope and yoga taught me that. My students and colleagues continually inspire and teach me so much about myself. This is what I hope to share with you - on and off the mat. Namaste. CONTACT ME I am continually honored to represent KiraGrace as a Warrior Ambassador. KiraGrace is a leader in Yoga Clothing Apparel and all of their clothing is responsibly manufactured in the USA. I was chosen as a Brand Ambassador because of my leadership on and off of the mat, community involvement, and seva, or service. Join Paulette and Michelle for this conversation on The Brilliant Art of Parallel Parenting in High Conflict Divorce About Michelle: Coach Michelle is a high conflict resolution coach, an attorney, and a badass single mom. She helps parents disengage from high conflict relationships, getting them out of court, and stepping back into their lives. Her unique combination as a certified Martha Beck life coach, a lawyer for almost 20 years, her field of study in Psychology, and her own personal family law experience, makes Michelle a well-rounded coach, capable of helping parents learn how to disengage from a challenging and protracted co-parenting relationship. Topics Michelle and Paulette discuss in today's episode: • The fastest way to get out of family court and step back into your life is to disengage from the conflict. • It only takes one parent to disengage. • Disengaging from the conflict does NOT mean letting go of your reasonable boundaries. • When you're forced to go to court, it is vital that you prepare yourself to disengage from the conflict. • In family court, there's really no such thing as “winning”. • You can't move forward with living your best life if you're stuck in the trenches in family court. Michelle was the first person in her family to go to college or graduate school, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy, as well as her Juris Doctorate. • She has always been passionate about helping people overcome life's obstacles, and re-inventing themselves. • Michelle was raising her son as a single mom when she was 38, and she chose to have a second child on her own at 40. Parenting her two kids and raising them to appreciate the importance of social justice and equality is what she is most proud of.
