S2 E3 of the Six FigureTradesman podcast will dig into the top reasons companies both large and small hire outsource estimators to help them with their bidding process. And if you are thinking of starting your own outsource estimating business this should help guide you to a marketing plan. Many entrepreneurs who are thinking there may not be enough demand for an outsource estimator. But the truth is the need is higher than ever and there's always room for the best estimators to gain there share of the market. We will discuss how smaller companies, or companies who have always been primarily residential in the past but want to move to commercial work, will often turn to a reputable outsource estimating service to guide them on the bidding process. We look at the temporary workflow many companies have for outsourcing mechanical estimators. For various reasons, many companies need to hire out the estimating and these estimating firms are used on a daily basis for temporary reasons to keep the bid process moving forward. One of any number of internal issues can cause a bottleneck and outsource estimators are the salvation for many companies. Rebinging Star Trek DS9: The Siege Hello everyone! Welcome to Season 2 episode 3: The Siege! This is the action-packed finale of the 3-parter that opened season 2. We continue on with our high-powered guest stars of Louise Fletcher, Frank Langella and Richard Beymer though only 2 of them are coming out of this episode alive! And we finally see some teamwork both on the station and on an away mission and it’s quite a ride! The Siege on the station Steven Weber, from Wings fame, leads the f-troop in an invasion of DS9. Sisko tries to hold down the fort until Kira and Dax deliver the Cardassian-involvement evidence to the chamber of ministers down on Bajor. So while Sisko is keeping everyone alive on the station (despite the best efforts of Colonel Wings), Kira and Dax are dodging attacks in a sub-impulse bucket of bolts! So much action! The Hair Just one more thing…we may mention the hair in this episode a few times. 90s Hair in The Siege What’s this rebinge thing? It’s a re-watch of a thing you’ve already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Please listen to season 1 and some of our favorite episodes like In the Hands of the Prophets and Duet. Or pick out your favorites and least favorites and listen to our take. You can also just catch up by tuning into our season 1 wrap up episode. Next time… We dive into Season 2 Episode 4 of DS9 Invasive Procedures (sounds scary!). Welcome to the TRUE NORTH COLLECTIVE PODCAST: SEASON 2! With co-hosts Rachel Bellotti and Jenell Riesner, this is a gathering of un-sugar-coated conversations celebrating the untold stories of everyday people fearlessly finding and living their true north. In our own search to discover and live from our TRUE NORTH, we have met so many interesting, courageous people from all walks of life, doing all sorts of amazing things to live life in their own unique way. Stories from all over the world. Stories with heart. Stories with grit. Stories with plot twists. Stories going untold - until now. This season, we continue to connect with and celebrate these untold stories of everyday people who are fearlessly living their true north and inspiring each of us to do the same. Today, we wrap-up season 2 with our final episode of 2019. What did we learn? What are we proud of? Who are we now? How are we living our TRUE NORTH after a year full of inspiring conversations with unique, everyday humans doing what they do and being who they be? What a year! Plus some genuine thoughts and rants around social media, authentic content creation, pooping, keeping up with the Joneses, losing your sense of self, thinking macro, reclaiming your sovereignty, building community, and surrendering to what is. We wish you the best end to your year and we’ll see you in 2020 as we kick-off Season 3!! *note: this episode includes explicit language appropriate for those ages 16+ RESOURCES MENTIONED: Everybody poops Music from: https://www.jukedeck.com/ 3 KEY TAKEAWAYS: If you are going to ask others to be vulnerable or you want more vulnerability in the world, then you better be willing to join people there. And sometimes the best way to start is by truly listening to others. Listen as they share. Listen as they process. Listen as they navigate. Listen. Period. Listen as they practice being authentically vulnerable (even when it’s uncomfortable) - it can be the powerful permission and invitation we needed to be ok finally sharing and being authentic ourselves in the world too. We are all in this together. Practice allowing yourself to “unfollow” the things that aren’t speaking to you each day so that you can reconnect with yourself and what you want to experience in your life and who you want to be. Whether that is on social media or in the real world, give yourself permission to see what it feels like to create space from a thing without it being “bad” and see what happens, knowing you can always come back to that circle or conversation when you feel ready to. There is real power in giving your own experience merit. “Experts” aren’t the only ones that we can gain wisdom + insights from, especially if their values, desires, and experiences are different from our own. Many times the true wisdom will and does come from within - our own inner dialogues, new awarenesses, inner truths and acknowledgments, the vulnerability of sharing what’s going on within us even if it isn’t sorted out yet, and the connection that we make with our own selves along our journey of trusting our own experiences, values, and desires. Cue up your "Whit's Greatest Hits" mixtape and get ready for the Transformers/Handmaid's Tale crossover you didn't know you wanted. Kelly doesn't know her own age and Molly's too jaded to be shocked, but like stalwart Marthas, they're really good at multitasking in this recap of S2E3. They've got some notes on the soundtrack (more Dido, Britney Spears and Amanda Palmer) and some guest star suggestions (Adam Scott, Margo Martindale and Tituss Burgess). This episode has it all--echoes of Alias Grace, Atwood-inspired dialogue, populism, gloveless fingers, binders full of women and the return of dumb, ordinary June. We continue our discussion of S2E4: Judah's talk "Nourishing the Soul of a Child". If you haven't yet listened to S2E4 and S2E3 (the first part of the discussion) - there's no way to guarantee this episode will make any sense. Context is everything. Almost everything. If not everything - it's at least significant. Significant to some. OK - so, for some people context is apparently meaningless. If you're one of those people go ahead and listen without context and fully enjoy not knowing what we're talking about. Excellent. Thank you. Note: we recorded another episode prior to these two which focuses largely on the Hindu epic Mahabharata - some of this conversation is referenced in the latter part of this episode. Star Trek: Discovery – Season 2, Episode 3: Point of Light For this supersized episode 28 of The Star Trek Discovery Podcast, Ruthie and I discuss Season 2 Episode 3 of Star Trek: Discovery, which is titled, Point of Light. It was written by co-executive producer Andrew Colville (his first writing credit on Discovery, but he’s got a long list of shows he’s worked on) and directed by executive producer Olatunde Osunsanmi. Unfortunately, his name was misspelled in the credits. See for yourself. STDP 028 – Osunsanmi Typo Fred’s Pics! We have been blessed yet again with pics chosen by Fred from The Netherlands, including the cover image. We will show them throughout this blog post. Last time on The Star Trek Discovery Podcast! We start this episode with A LOT MORE feedback for our last episode that covered Season 2 Episode 2, titled New Eden. We received more feedback for last week’s episode than we have ever gotten for any podcast episode before! NOTE: Discussion of S2E3 Point of Light begins at 1:04:27. The Search for Spock The seven signals search reaches a bit of an impasse, but Discovery gets an unexpected visitor from Amanda, Spock and Burnham’s mother. She has stolen Spock’s medical records. STDP 028 – Pike, Burnham and Amanda in the new Ready Room STDP 028 – Pike confers with Burnham and Amanda What did Burnham do to hurt Spock??? Amanda hears this and decides she must find Spock on her own. It can be interpreted a few ways how to take this point, but it’s a powerful moment. STDP 028 – Amanda and Burnham Stilly Made Silly The haunting of Tilly by May, which seemed to be a harmless thing in the last episode, has taken a turn to the strange and for the worse. May becomes more insistent and demanding. Tilly appears to lose it on the bridge at the worst time. I loved the sense of humor shown by Pike here, by the way. Mary Wiseman is great as usual in this scene.
Johnny is joined by Brian Kronner of Comic Book Resources and Grizzly Bomb to discuss S2E3 of Star Trek: Discovery, "Point of Light." They dig into Tilly's Ghost, Georgiou's return and Amanda Grayson: Closet Ninja.

They are: S1E7, “Dear Louise”; S1E15, “Dana and the Deep Blue Sea”; S1E19, “Eli’s Coming”; S2E3, “Cliff Gardener”; and S2E11 “And the Cutman Cometh."When we recorded this podcast, those were all available on Hulu, but unfortunately they seem to have been taken off! Capt. Mark J. Reinhardt lost his moored boat in Key West to Hurricane Irma. Capt. Mark J. Reinhardt estimated that 80 percent of the boats in the mooring field of Garrison Bite of Key West were wrecked in his interview on the Slow Boat Sailing podcast episode 39. The Slow Boat was moored in that same mooring field in 2015. Capt. Reinhardt sold everything and fixed up his Ericson 39 sailboat which he cruised the Bahamas in before settling in Key West. He rode out Hurricane Irma on a powerboat that he delivered to Fort Lauderdale. He then had a harrowing journey by sea getting back to his boat in Key West only to find his boat a total loss. The Virgin Islands, Florida Keys, and Puerto Rico have been ravaged by the category 5 hurricanes Maria and Irma. We survey their path of destruction and weigh the costs of these monster hurricanes. The Slow Boat Sailing podcast host Linus Wilson tells how Sailing Doodle's boat Ruff Seas was dismasted in San Juan Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria. Everyone, let us remember the simpler times. The times of the 90s. Where the only things we worried about were Dinosaur Movies and knockoffs and sequels, Volcano movies and knockoffs and sequels and Asteroid movies and knockoffs and sequels! We worried about movies a lot guys. They were big! And full of knockoffs! And sequels!… Read more S2:E3 – Deep Impact Trailer

Lourdes is a brilliant photographer known best for her work with Lucha Libre which was a photography project she worked on for 30 years. That sort of makes it easier to deal with, I think. Most people don’t feel bad for victims in olden times because they had all probably just gotten done beating their kids or kicking a cat onto a roof. So listen to the Fell Companions gasp a plenty while we cover the following topics in horrid detail: Roman government Types of Roman citizens The rise of the Emperors Caligula (ugh) Claudius (double ugh) Tiberius (get out) Commodus (poor footless soldiers) Sejanus (technically it was all legal) Nero (I might quit the show) Locusta! At last a hero! The big finale – oh, that’s now how I hoped that would end at all. S2E3: 10 Days From Execution: The Wrongful Conviction of Peter Pringle Peter Pringle was wrongfully convicted of an armed robbery and the murder of two police officers during a bank raid in Ireland in 1980. He was the last person sentenced to death in Ireland, and just days before a noose was to be tied around his neck, Peter learned that Ireland’s president had commuted his sentence to 40 years without parole. Peter then immersed himself in legal texts and effectively became a jailhouse lawyer. He discovered that the confession used by the prosecution was written down in a police officer’s notebook prior to his interrogation about the killings. Serving as his own counsel, he eventually convinced the Court of Criminal Appeal to quash his conviction in 1995. Today, Peter is a human rights and anti-death penalty activist and together he and his wife, Sunny Jacobs, also a death row exoneree, run the Sunny Center in Ireland where they provide counseling to other exonerees. wrongfulconvictionpodcast.com Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom is a production of Lava For Good Podcasts in association with Signal Co. On this week's Decrypted, Mr. Robot's "k3rnel-pan1c.ksd' (S2E3) quickly flipped the script on S2. With the show's higher profile, there's more theorizing than ever despite the show's intent on subverting our expectations. The most popular fan theory seems kaputt after this week, so we offer three pie-in-the-sky conspiracies that will hopefully have more legs. We also talk about the show's sound this week. From Phil Collins to the Pixies, Dusty Springfield to FKA Twigs, soundtrack is as important to Mr. Robot's aesthetic as anything. Music savant Chris Baio (Vampire Weekend, solo records under Baio) joins us to talk about the best audio moments thus far and what the differences are for musicians when you're soundtracking versus songwriting.
"Elementary, Dear Data" - Marshall Honorof, tech writer, joins Scott to discuss TNG’s “Elementary, Dear Data” (S2E3). Topics include why Capt. Join us for 12 Monkeys news, commentary and analysis for One Hundred Years, and our listener feedback segment! This week we talk about Cassie's nastiness, Cole's quick acclimation, Ramse's death sentence, Deacon's puzzling ingratiation, the nature of Primaries, and the new problems with the time stream. Talking Through Ouroboros We are back to our normal selves to discuss Ouroboros, Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 3. At least, I am back to normal! I was able to catch a few more zzz’s this week. I did not have to focus all my energy on forming coherent sentences! And yes, Brian was normal, too. But what an exciting episode! Perhaps the best episode of Fear yet, this episode was packed with all the things we love about this world. There was an infected horde that mobbed our characters on the beach. There was also an underwater scare with an “infected” filtration clog, and of course, good ole fashioned death threats. Is Madison capable of carrying out her promise to throw Strand overboard? Strand doesn’t think so, but I’m not so sure. Brian pointed out that there is not really a clear leader of the Abigail crew yet, and while I want it to be Travis, I think it will probably end up being Madison. But what do you think? Flight 462 We also finally got to see the grisly outcome of Flight 462, but by the end of this episode, things were not looking good for what seems to be the final two passengers. Will we ever see Alex or Jake again? I think we will at least see Alex again, Jake I’m not so sure about. However, I have no idea how they will get out of the predicament that Strand put them in, and I’m still not sure why he didn’t want to even tow anyone else. Perhaps it really did just have to do with the extra drag, but Strand is still mysterious enough that I think there was another reason behind him cutting the tow line. He has a purpose that is not yet known by the other characters. More on Strand Speaking of Strand, a few more things I may or may not have mentioned in the recording. Strand thinks that a little ego-stroking will get Travis to work faster, but I think what he said and how he acted didn’t help. It’s not the U.S.S. Enterprise, and they are not Kirk and Scotty. I think Travis is right to be annoyed with Strand, but at the same time, I’m reminded of “we all have a job to do…” I still don’t understand why the horde on the beach meant that the Abigail had to be ready to move right then. It doesn’t seem like the infected on land posed any real imminent threat to those on the sea. I’m also still curious about the implied time limit to get to the house in Rosarito, and what will happen if they don’t make it on time, which of course leads back to questions about Strand. It all goes back to Victor Strand. Send in your feedback! If you have any answers to my questions, then please tell us by giving some feedback! As always, we love to get audio feedback, but we will take whatever we can get! For the next episode, Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4, titled Blood in the Streets, please submit your feedback by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Ratings are down Ouroboros got a 2.12 in the 18-49 demographic, with 4.726 million viewers, up from last week‘s 2.53 and 5.581 million viewers.

Back after a week off (apologies, we had hectic schedules!) we discuss S2E3 and S2E4 this week! Episode 3 TL;DR - we both really loved Episode 3, once Sarah remembers that far back. - We discuss the coin and our hopes for it's inclusion throughout season 2. - A tumblr gifset reveals the parallels throughout the show that Abbie is always trying to talk people down out of situations and we love her for it. - We're both a bit frightened of Reyes. - We learn some interesting back story on Momma Mills and a revelation causes a bit of a stirr for Jenny and Abbie, who's right? - To Holly or not to Holly, that is the questions. - We also deal with some listener feedback regarding Episode 3! Thanks for your comments everyone! Episode 4 - In Season 1, this would have been a solid episode, but coming off such a strong 3 opening episodes to this season, Ep 4 feels very much like filler. - To answer our question from Episode 3 recap, we can do without Holly thank you very much. - Although the story didn't really tickle our funny bone (sorry) we do have further proof that this show does not hold back when it comes to children in peril. - Abbey has a very interesting theory when it comes to Frank's ultimate fate.
