Kids today have Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. But back in 1984 we got the first superhero film featuring a woman as the lead - Supergirl. That Film Stew's Luke and Comiczone's Jae revisit the canonically connected spin-off film to the Christopher Reeves Superman franchise. Directed by Jeannot Szwarc, Supergirl stars Helen Slater as the title hero, Faye Dunaway as the villainous Selena, and Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen (reprising his role from the Superman films). After losing a powerful orb known as the Omegahedron, Kara Zor-El (Superman's cousin), comes to Earth to retrieve it and instead finds herself up against a power-hungry would-be witch. Kara becomes Supergirl, adopts the identity Linda Lee, and saves the day.

Inspired by dressing up with her family at renaissance faires, to losing herself in Tolkien, to playing World of Warcraft into the wee hours of the morning, Rachel created the very beginnings of The Chronicles of Royal High in her freshman English class. You can find her today in the realm of Southern California, often adventuring her way through Disneyland, reading by firelight, swimming in the ocean like a mermaid, and, of course, writing about the many stories that exist within Edenarth.
