We're breaking down the "vlog life" drama as a husband begs his wife to stop turning their home into a content studio and keep the kids off camera to protect their privacy. The phones blow up when a Department of Defense undercover agent calls in to share wild stories about catching terrorists in the military and explains why he won't even let his own family post photos of his daughter. Don't You Know I'm Local, so you know we had to keep it real while investigating whether some famous "YouTube families" are actually renting kids to keep the views coming in! We also react to a viral mom's attempt to teach her daughter "polite" comebacks that the crew agrees are way too weak for the back-to-school trenches. Finally, Play Ball dives into the chaos of the Argentina vs. Spain World Cup brawl and why FIFA's "slap on the wrist" suspensions for preseason matches feel like a total scam. It's a wild ride through military secrets, "Department of Doofus" moments, and parenting advice gone wrong!

When I say to potential clients they should engage with stories over product dumps, feature vomits and benefit barrages they often reply “No one else is doing that.” That is a large portion of my point. Doing what everyone else is doing is not unique. Strategies for crafting promotional hooks which convert profile viewers into premium coaching clients or partners starts with a solid profile. 7/17/2026 THE STORY AUDIT: EVALUATING THE GAPS IN YOUR MESSAGEEPISODE 1826“The story reveals only what the story teller wants revealed and that's not always what the hearer wants or needs to hear.” J Loren Norris The Story Audit: Evaluating the Gaps in Your MessageDr Caroline Leaf says “You make a lousy someone else.” A self-assessment framework to critique corporate storytelling should be applied for consistency in brand and mission. Brand: what people say about you (your company) when you walk out of the room. Mission: the assignment, purpose or direction which announces, then determines your tactics and strategies of operation. Identifying where the current mission statement loses people is essential to understanding the gaps which need to be addressed in your storytelling. The best way to accomplish this is to ask questions of your recent customers. Here are a few examples to consider:What expectations did we fail to meet in the products and services we provided? What expectations did we fail to meet in the products and services we promised? What expectations did we SURPASS in the products and services we PROMISED?Nothing damages a brand like UNMET UNSPOKEN expectations. Use your STORY to set expectations. “I don't prepare speeches as much as I prepare speech givers.” j Loren Norris - Pineapple SqeezerRESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
7/16/2026 POSTERITY OVER AUSTERITY: INVESTING IN WHAT LASTSEPISODE 1825“Having been raised with a poverty mindset, I deeply understand the complexity of redrafting the perception surrounding wealth.” J Loren Norris Posterity over Austerity: Investing in What LastsThere is a dramatic contrast between a culture of fear-based cost cutting and legacy-minded investing. There is also a dramatic contrast of belief about whose role it is to manage wages, prices, productivity and profits. Some research done for you: https://youtu.be/zxVoCw3P1Gc?is=eEFSIfSDR0wGek_NConsider the advice of Robert Reich vs Thomas Sowell when making decisions about your financial strategies. Consider Cash Flow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki or Money Master the best Game by Anthony Robbins. Leaders safeguard the future of their organization during tight seasons. One way they do this is building the legacy of their people. Strengthening posterity, the hope of those who will become your successors, this is the greatest return on investment possible. IMHO If the government is given that choice, if the government makes the investment, the government expects the rewards. If the people make that investment, the people should get the reward. Whoever takes the greater risk should receive the greater benefit. Become your own best benefactor. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
7/15/2026 THE WEALTHY MINDSET: THINKING LIKE A LEGACY BUILDEREPISODE 1824“Before the bank account will grow, a leader must grow themselves, their people skills and then grow their people.” J Loren NorrisThe Wealthy Mindset: Thinking Like a Legacy BuilderTo possess a wealthy mindset in leadership means you have the skills and abilities to access and perceive the most valuable assets, investments and opportunities. Often that means ways for your money to make babies. More often it means investing in the right people. The more we engage tools, the fewer people we may employ. This means the selection process must be even better. Investing in IQ, EQ and PQ will prove to be essential in coming years as AGI attempts to refashion EQ. Focus on resource stewardship, long-term vision, and building people over profits. As Paul Martinelli says often “Most people don't have a resources problem, they have a resourcefulness problem.” Wealthy is less about accumulation and more about execution. Like scalability, leading an organization that lasts generations takes vision and commitment on the part of the founder and those who come after. All leadership creates a ripple effect that impacts the next tier of incoming organizational builders. Some leaders are so focused on their own success and notoriety they fail to plan for those who come next. Great leaders create this ripple effect intentionally with direction, progression and succession. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:

StoryPower is an incredible tool to master for every level of leadership. Coaches do it at half time. Politicians do it at election time. Parents do it at meal time, bath time and bed time. A well prepared, well crafted speech can move mountains in the minds of those we lead. By listening to the common phrases, conversations and flippant expressions an astute leader can determine under lying attitudes and address them swiftly. I would like to provide just a few concrete exercises leaders can use to audit and adjust team morale.Make a list of expressions and phrases used repeatedly by team members. I say don't strap your cart to a wobbly foal either. ” J Loren NorrisStrategic Timing: The Unseen Variable in Executive DecisionsLet's dive into the "when" of leadership through the lens of communication. One of the key strategies for reading the room, timing organizational pivots, and knowing when to wait includes honestly and humbly knowing when you're ready for NEXT and knowing when to wait a beat. Initially, many of my clients are anxious to get on the big stage, be a podcast guest on a big show, hire a booking agent or a PR firm, write a best selling book, before they have fully worked out the initial narrative. “Who do I help and how?”It's hard to put the chimney on before the fireplace is built. 7/8/2026 OVERCOMING THE NOISE: AMPLIFYING YOUR CORE MESSAGEEPISODE 1819“Leaders keep the main thing the main thing. They do this by learning to articulate the stories which compel and propel the main thing!” J Loren Norris Overcoming the Noise: Amplifying Your Core MessageThe challenge of organizational distraction is rooted in too many notions, ideas or convictions about what this organization is all about. Conversations driving conflict of start of the small disagreements or discrepancies. A leader who understands why each department must have their own stories of success and motivation must craft those varied stories into an organizational narrative. Here are some actionable tips on keeping your central message consistent across multiple platforms.1. Speak in the terms of mission - who do we help and how? Every post or conversation should see the world through this lens. 2. Help department heads delineate their “customer” between internal and external services. 3. Craft statements, stories and phrases which tie together cohesively to a mosaic narrative which represents and reflects all departments constantly with the organizations public mission. 7/7/2026 NARRATIVE ARCHITECTURE - BUILDING STORIES THAT SCALE OPERATIONSEPISODE 1818“Narratives drive subconscious behavior in a way discipline and reward simply miss.” J Loren Norris. Narrative Architecture: Building Stories that Scale OperationsTeaching leaders how to use story-driven hooks to connect with stakeholders is an everyday challenge. It is my assignment and I accept the challenge. I am up to the challenge. Shifting critical communications from dry data to memorable narratives that stick with a team is a worthy cause. It takes a few sessions before some leaders can recognize the application of personal stories. For some, the delay is a reluctance to be transparent, authentic and vulnerable. For others, the delay hides in the apparent simplicity of storytelling as a leadership tool. If it's that easy, why isn't everyone doing it. Stories of past failures and stories of past successes both have a distinct place in the organizational chart and the history books. Success and failure both leave clues- like a map to a hidden treasure. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
7/6/2026 THE 3 MINUTE BLUEPRINT - HOOKING YOUR AUDIENCE FASTEPISODE 1817“We live in a modern world full of TikTok attention spans trying to respond to leadership challenges with Harry Potter answers.” J Loren Norris The 3-Minute Blueprint: Hooking Your Audience FastFive years of working with the Dale Carnegie team Introduced me to a concise communication framework which Dale affectionately called “the Magic Formula”. It has served me well for two decades and is one of the foundational principles of StoryPower Academy. Leaders who are willing to do the work, can distill complex visions into high-impact, 2-3 minute messages that drive rapid action. Any leader can communicate any topic to any audience IF THEY ARE INTENTIONAL ENOUGH. The big challenge is this: most leaders communicate in data, facts, information and commands. When they want to convey something more “personal” they default to safe stories, quote books, anecdotes which are tired and over used. The StoryPower Method encourages and equips leaders to identify, qualify and apply lessons they have personally learned. By crafting the aha moment into stories and those stories into an applicable narrative, metaphor or illustration; team members, board members and customers will better understand the context and the content of information delivered. 7/3/2026 THE ASSIGNMENT MENTALITY - PUBLIC SERVICE VS SELF SERVICE EPISODE 1816“Too many leaders suffer with destination disease. When I get there.. to that level, to that promotion, to that title - THEN I will have arrived…” J Loren Norris (paraphrasing John Maxwell)The Assignment Mentality: Public Service vs. Self Service:Most leaders need to refocus their view of leadership as a distinct assignment rather than a personal destination. Viewing your role as a servant on assignment changes daily operational execution by keeping the focus on how your efforts benefit others. Viewing leadership roles as a personal destination changes loyalty and commitment levels to focus on rewards, future opportunities and visible accomplishments. When a leader understands their assignment they understand “It's not about you!” It's about the team. It's about the big win. It's about helping others to achieve and become. Otherwise, it's not leadership it's just competition to see who can amass the most titles and awards. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
7/2/2026 THE SHIFT IN POSITION- WHY POWER DEMANDS CHARACTER EPISODE 1815“Talent may take you to the top but it won't keep you there.” John C Maxwell The Shift in Position: Why Power Demands CharacterDemands for character increase as your position grows. Very few things destroy a person like power does. Hard times, times of lack, want or need might test your tenacity and resolve but times of success, power, influence and abundance will certainly test your character. Consider the contrast between forced positional power with lasting, influential authority. The tyrant has no concern for character, reputation or relationship. They demand respect and swiftly punish its absence. They insist, intimidate and injury to get their way. They have surpassed concern about the thoughts others think toward them. People pleasers obsess about the feelings and desires of everyone else until their influence reaches a diminished capacity to lead. Balanced leadership demands both candor and compassion. Tell it like it is, not for the sake of control or forced submission but for the betterment of those you lead. That demands character, humility and integrity at the highest levels. 7/1/2026 The Arena of Authority: Stepping into True LeadershipEPISODE 1814“Just because you've been given the title of leader doesn't mean you carry the respect.” J Loren NorrisThe Arena of Authority: Stepping into True LeadershipCourage is required to step into the leadership arena. Many people watch combat sports or professional athletes and think, “Well anyone can do that!” Not so much. Watch old episodes of Pros Vs Joes. The shift from holding a title to earning authentic moral authority is a grueling schlog. The beauty of the process of getting ready to lead is this, it's where the best stories are discovered. Once you have stepped into the arena and survived, you have a story to tell which is both informative and entertaining. A story filled with heard lessons learned to prevent others repeating them, is the master craftsmanship of a great mentor. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:

6/27/2026 DO THE RIGHT THING EVEN WHEN ITS UNPOPULAR EPISODE 1812“Sometimes it's hard to know the right thing to do. Sometimes it's hard to DO what you know is right because you stand alone. Do right any way.” J Loren Norris“If all your friends jumped off the cliff…” We have all heard far too many lectures on peer pressure, falling in with the wrong crowd, and choosing our friends wisely. All of these lectures are warranted and should be repeated like a mantra daily. Bad friends corrupt good morals. Bad influence is everywhere and social media is only one small fragment of the negative stream of ignorant, insolent and arrogant behavior we see in society. FAFO is common vernacular for a reason. A paraphrase from “Supergirl” the movie - You cannot always be kind or nice but you always be good. So be good. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
June 2026 Bizarre News - Paranormal Podcast This month's Bizarre News covers four stories that somehow span the full spectrum of weird — starting with a ghost hunting vlogger in Malaysia who went live, disappeared mid-stream for 40 hours, and was eventually found in a public restroom in a weakened state with zero explanation for where he'd been. We also got into a new UN-backed protocol that now requires international approval before anyone can respond to potential alien signals, which sounds very responsible and also like the most frustrating thing imaginable when the aliens are literally trying to text us back. And then Brazil had a whole situation where the national emergency alert system got hacked and sent millions of people messages saying "humans, we have arrived, we are not your friends" — right on the heels of a viral UFO video from the country that allegedly led to men in black SUVs circling the guy's house — while we also covered the brand new North American Cryptid Museum that just opened in Plano, Texas, with 75 full-size lifelike cryptid recreations, park ranger guides, and a scent box that lets you smell the skunk ape.
6/26/2026 NOT EVERY CAUSE IS WORTHY OF YOUR PASSIONEPISODE 1811“Before you lend your voice, insure your passion submits to your principles and your priorities!” J Loren NorrisWe have seen play out in recent years an ever evolving “outrage de'jour”. Dozens of demonstrations, hundreds or thousands of demonstrators, news coverage and social media virality spread the message and fuel the unrest. Often celebrities and pundits are dragged into the fray. Some demanding change, some poking at the opposition, some criticizing anything they can for attention. As a leader beware the trap
6/25/2026 A DADITUDE IS A TOOL FOR TRANSFORMATIONEPISODE 1810“I WANNA BE A DAD LIKE THAT!” J Loren NorrisA dad who never gives up. A dad who looks beyond failure. A dad who exhibits grace, mercy and patience. I want to be a dad like that. Mistakes are a part of life. Just remember success isn't permanent and failure isn't final. You will experience setbacks. You will encounter trials, tribulations and trauma in this life. None of those get to own you. Having a DADITUDE also means those realities do not get to destroy those you love because you have their six! You are guarding, guiding and giving them everything they need to face the worst and still emerge triumphant. I want to be a dad like that. Every leader (male or female) should lead with a DADITUDE. 6/24/2026 A WRITTEN WILL AND A BLANK 1099 ARE TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMATIONEPISODE 1809“Leave an inheritance the IRS and the shifting economy cannot touch by leaving a legacy of hope and vision.” J Loren NorrisShift your focus to realize the value in life is not what you get from it but what you put into it. The people you have the power and pleasure to influence throughout your lifetime are central to your existence. In some cases, those lives are your WHY! Whether you build empires or struggle to keep the lights on, there will be people whose lives are impacted by your presence. If you want to live a more excellent life, you must be intentional about the quality of that impact. Choose good impact by first realizing it's not about YOU! If not a fat bank account, land and material possessions, what will you leave?RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
6/23/2026 A GREEN BUICK AND A PACKAGE OF ELEPHANT SEEDS ARE TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMATIONEPISODE 1808“If you want to build a treehouse, the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.” J Loren NorrisBamboo trees are known for growing very fast and very tall. They are also known for the fact that you can build with them and eat them. They are also known for the fact they consume massive quantities of water and nutrients to grow. Elephant grow large over time and the gestation period for elephant seeds is 36 months - not 36 weeks like the average human or 18 weeks like the average carrot. My point is this: seeds of your future begin with awareness and will grow into something of significance. The amount of time needed to produce this future is relative to the seed planted and the care given to it along the way. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
6/22/2026 A QUEEN SIZED BED SHEET AND A REFRIGERATOR BOX ARE TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMATIONEPISODE 1807“Authority to dream is not given it's taken. Take it. Be a kid again and be creative. ” J Loren NorrisToo often the harsh reality of life extinguishes the flicker of hope which once fueled our dreams and imagination. We allow the bills, the bullies and the bad days convince us the time for dreaming is over. We mock people who are willing to take risks we never would as ‘dreamers'. We discuss their endeavors as silliness. We look on their failures (learning opportunities) as a good excuse to do nothing ourselves. We once had fantastic imaginative dreams. We once saw the world through “anything is possible” glasses. We once believed “if it can be done, it can be done by me.” Let's get back to that idea now. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
6/19/2026 A DIARY, A JOURNAL, A CHECKBOOK ARE TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMATION EPISODE 1806“True success is about managing limited natural resources: time, talent, treasure and attention.” J Loren NorrisWe cannot manage what we do not measure. Tracking the investment or expenditure or waste of resources will determine the measure of success we each experience. Using the everyday tools of our relationship, work life, education and career we can track and process the deployment of resources. However, any resource we do not track will not manage itself. How do you invest your reputation? RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
6/18/2026 A TREASURE MAP A TOOL FOR TRANSFORMATION EPISODE 1805“Success and failure are both great mentors.” J Loren NorrisFollowing in the footsteps of other great leaders is one of the most common endeavors of young and rising leaders. Sadly, many aspiring leaders lose sight of their future when they see their mentor stumble. Learning from your mistakes is not just smart it is an essential mark of a leader. Learning from the mistakes of others so you don't repeat them is known as wisdom. Everyone makes mistakes, the magnitude of those mistakes as well as how we handle the consequences are the makings of leadership survival. Know this: success and failure both leave clues. Study the predecessors of your industry and use their knowledge, skills and financial experiences (both good and bad) to create a map to your destiny. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:

How you you feel about vloggers/livestreamers in the parks? Question 4: What disaster did you endure on a Disney parks trip? Question 5 & 6: What Disney attraction would make a non-Disney person finally “get it”? And on the flip side- what's the most overrated attraction in Disney? Question 7: What is a Disney movie that surprised you? Bonus Question: Here's a weird one: the Ticket and Transportation Center at WDW versus the Esplanade at Disneyland. Where are my Worlders at?
In this video I cover 3 times that travel vloggers accidentally filmed something disturbing and horrifying. I cover Logan Paul's Aokigahara Forest incident, the time that the Bethunes caught Gabby Petito's van as they passed through Wyoming, and the time Sarah Funk unknowingly filmed evidence of bodies being hidden in Mitsero Red Lake in New York. All of these vloggers were just minding their own business (except for Logan Paul) and ended up filming something that would change the way the rest of the world viewed investigations. This one is a bit late because I edited the video myself. I'm learning about visuals, pacing, lighting, and all sorts of stuff about being on camera and making transitions and stuff while using relevant b roll. I also spent a lot of time on the sound design and the "look" of the video after researching the topics. Please let me know how I'm doing by leaving a comment.
