In this episode, my client Leonor shares how she quadrupled her daily steps and built a consistent lifting routine using a focused, short-term challenge. By moving away from an all-or-nothing approach and staying committed through a demanding season of work travel, she broke through a long-term slump. As a busy human resources executive navigating perimenopause and an intense travel schedule, finding time for fitness was a major challenge. Leonor explains how she stopped avoiding the scale, started tracking her protein, and began banking her steps before 10 a.m. to gain more control over unpredictable days.We talk about:* Bank steps early by hitting 7,500 steps before 10 a.m. to create a buffer against travel disruptions.* Track daily numbers to build honest self-awareness through food logging, scale weight, and protein intake.* Use short-term targets to stay engaged and committed when long-term goals feel overwhelming.* Prioritize protein by making simple changes, such as adding protein powder to morning coffee.* Focus on small daily wins, including 15 to 30 minutes of lifting, to build strength and support activities like pickleball.CloseIf this hits where you are, take the next clear step.DM me if this resonates or book your complimentary Coffee & Goals consultation here:

In this episode, I sit down with Lindsay — a client who had been active and exercising for years, spoke on stages, and traveled often for work. She was already fit and healthy, but it felt frivolous and vain to want an aesthetic body — until my content helped her see there's nothing wrong with aiming higher. With a clear intention to look and feel her best for her wedding — which happened just a month before her 40th birthday — Lindsay committed to a focused plan. Through structured training, small nutrition changes, and consistent weekly execution, she lost 15 pounds and built the above-average, visible results she had always wanted, all while navigating a demanding travel schedule. We talk about:* Shifting from “healthy” to intentionally aesthetic goals without guilt* How she stayed consistent on the road with flexible training options* The dinner tweak that simplified hitting her nutrition targets* How structure and execution led to 15 pounds lost and visible results* Building self-trust and confidence that now shows up in every area of her lifeIf you're active but your results haven't matched your effort — and you want a body that looks as strong and polished as your life — this one will hit home.

On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio, I'm joined by Sumit Pal, who in the last 12 months at RNT has absolutely crushed it with his health, fitness, and overall lifestyle change. Sumit is over 20 kilos down now. One of his drivers when he first started was to have the energy and vitality to be at his absolute best as a dad and to help instil long-term lifestyle habits with the family. He's not only accomplished those two, he's also hit his third goal which was to improve his performance on the cricket pitch. As a recreational cricketer, he's gone from playing in the over 40s to now knocking it about with the 20 year olds. Sumit travels for work pretty much every 2-4 weeks to the States and all over, so despite changing time zones and constantly different environments, he's managed to stay on track and absolutely nailed the process. Located in downtown Chicago, the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is a beautifully restored property, originally built in 1893 as an exclusive athletic and social club. Now part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection, it offers unique features that make it a memorable choice for travelers.Raya provides a detailed account of her stay, including her room upgrade to the spacious Founder's Suite, which featured two fireplaces, a dining area, and views of Millennium Park. She also touches on the hotel's blend of classic and modern amenities, from the Game Room, where guests can enjoy shuffleboard and pool, to the historic Milk Room, once a Prohibition-era speakeasy, now serving breakfast and coffee. The hotel's Shake Shack in the lobby and the rooftop bar with city views add to its charm, making the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel a unique stay in the heart of the city. The episode also includes practical advice for families managing work travel. Raya and Duane discuss the challenges of leaving family behind and share tips for keeping things running smoothly at home. They highlight the importance of meal planning, family support, and sticking to routines, which help make travel easier on both the traveling parent and the family at home. While the Chicago Athletic Association offers plenty of character and charm, the hosts note that it may be best suited for adults rather than young families due to its historical decor and lack of child-friendly amenities like a pool. Overall, Raya and Duane agree that the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is perfect for solo travelers, couples, or groups looking to explore the city with a touch of history.Whether you're interested in the architecture of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel or seeking practical tips for balancing work travel and family, this episode offers insight and advice from experienced family travelers.4o

Today we are chatting with Andrea (@wandrworking), who was a speaker at our virtual summit in May. Andrea, a digital nomad and web designer, shares her journey of becoming a traveler and merging travel with work. She immigrated to the US from Peru at a young age and didn't have the opportunity to travel until she went back to Peru at 15. In college, she did a study abroad in Japan, which sparked her love for travel. After college, she struggled to find a job that aligned with her passion for travel, so she taught herself web design and eventually landed a remote job. She then took the leap to become a digital nomad and traveled while working remotely. Andrea shares her experience of traveling without a plan and how it led to amazing opportunities. She discusses the benefits of being flexible and going with the flow while traveling. Andrea gives tips on finding remote work, creating a digital nomad lifestyle, finding community while traveling and shares resources for remote job opportunities. In this episode, you will learn: Becoming a digital nomad takes time and perseverance, and it's important to have a skill set that allows for remote work. Building a network of international friends and connections can enhance the digital nomad experience and open up opportunities for travel. Traveling without a plan can lead to amazing opportunities and experiences. Time blocking and creating a structured work routine can help maintain productivity while traveling. Finding remote work opportunities can be done through platforms like LinkedIn and other job boards. ...and more! How should I title these podcast episodes? Gotta put my podcast on YouTube Film myself answering questions and reacting to community Serves as a form of education Title and thumbnail need to focus in on one topic tho Would drive me crazy to not put it on the main channel tho. I've watched videos with just people talking tho. As long as the hook is interesting and they deliver the answer I watch I feel the need for more dialog between you and I What feedback do you have on the podcast in general? Should I accept feedback in the form of voicemails? Would comments on YouTube work well for feedback? Should I spend time making educational content? I feel like mini tutorials on TikTok would work well. Basically break a full workshop into small chapters. Answer questions that people might Google. People still think I'm shooting iPhone only Tired of getting every kind of feedback on my work… talk less, talk more, more social, stop including friends, more vlogs, don't vlog Wish I had fellow creators to talk through my problems and projects. CW: pregnancy Traveling while pregnant as a dietitian? While this is, admittedly, a niche topic, with over 93% of dietitians identifying as women, and not a lot of social or professional supports in place for navigating pregnancy while also trying to maintain "professionalism," it is not as uncommon of a challenge members of our profession must face. Listen in as host and dietitian supervisor Jess Romola shares her top strategies for traveling safely, confidently, and comfortably (well, as comfortably as possible...) no matter what trimester you're in. Oh, and as a spoiler alert...yeah, there's a reason Jess is choosing to share this episode this week ;) If you liked this episode, you may also like...[152] How to Prep for FNCE (or Any Other dietitian Conference): www.empoweringdietitians.com/podcast/prep-for-fnce To learn more about Empowering Dietitians and the support Jess offers...visit her website at www.empoweringdietitians.com.
