Voor het eerst komt de leider van de katholieke kerk uit de VS. Robert Prevost is geboren in Chicago en is sinds gisteravond de nieuwe paus. De nieuwe bisschop van Rome noemt zichzelf Leo XIV. En in die naam zit zijn boodschap verscholen: de vorige paus met de naam Leo was een sociale paus die zich inzette voor de armen en naastenliefde. Door zijn naam kiest de nieuwe paus voor tegengeluid. Want juist dat sociale gezicht klinkt nu niet door vanuit het Witte Huis. De nieuwe paus doet theologe Laetitia van der Lans denken aan Mariann Bude. De bisschop die recht voor de ogen van Trump zijn beleid bekritiseerde. De Amerikaanse president zette haar weg, maar dat zal Trump niet durven bij de paus. In dat opzicht kan Leo XIV op gelijke hoogte met de president in gesprek gaan, volgens van der Lans, om een verbindend geluid te laten horen. In de VS wordt vol blijdschap gereageerd op het nieuws dat de 267e paus uit hun land komt. En vol verrassing. Ook Amerikanen zien het contrast tussen de woorden van de Amerikaanse president Trump en die van de nieuwe paus. Er circuleren volgens verslaggever Simone Tukker ook berichten van Robert Prevost eerder vol kritiek op het migratiebeleid van Trump. Après des hauts et quelques bas, le manque d'expérience et de financement va se faire ressentir et contraindre le duo à marquer une pause dans leur carrière malgré des titres en Saxo Challenge, en Suzuki Rallye Cup, des victoires en Championnat de France des Rallyes Terres sur une Skoda de Didier Auriol et des podiums en Championnat du Monde Junior ! Yoann se consacre alors pleinement à son activité de moniteur de ski aux 2 Alpes avant de saisir une nouvelle opportunité en rallye où il remporte l'Opel Adam Cup en 2013 dans l'équipe d'Alain Bonneton. JP Morrison Lans decided to grow up to be an artist while visiting the Carole Laroche Gallery in Santa Fe New Mexico when she was eleven years old. Five years later the Tulsa Artist Coalition supported this dream for her when she was accepted for her first solo exhibition. Since then she has earned her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, co-owner a gallery, had her work purchased for the permanent collection of the Bundaberg Regional Gallery in Queensland Australia where she lived for two years and created immersive art installations for AHHA Tulsa, the Living Arts New Genre Festival, and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.  Morrison Lans has shows her work with M.A. Doran Gallery, Tulsa; Heron Arts, San Francisco; Keep Contemporary, Santa Fe; and 19 Karen, Gold Coast, Australia. She has been a resident artist at SVA, NY., Truro Art Center, MA., Rockland Woods, WA., the Vermont Studio Center and Quarantine in Menorca, Spain. Morrison Lans is a member of the international artist collective Teleportal.Gallery and is an inaugural member of the NYC Crit Club's Canopy Program. She and her child can typically be found experimenting with encaustic and lego, respectively, from their home studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Statement:I explore the relationship of body and psyche by combining figurative realism, symbolic objects and intuitive abstraction. These collected elements are metaphors for my experience of womanhood, motherhood, love, loss, self-preservation, panic, desire, and knowing. Through layers of color pencil I create translucent skin. The addition of gouache and encaustic allows me to comb sheens and dimensional shapes around my drawing, forming membranes and isolated objects which express the subject's emotional escapades. Often I use orientation dissonance –the inversion of the figure– to symbolize circumspection, surrender, gestation, and metamorphosis. I render hands frequently, they represent intention and action, also the mouth, tongue and teeth as gateways between the inner self and outer world. Through taste and touch, we experience intimacy and desire. This anatomy creates boundaries while also being an entry point. My work invites you to experience this same push pull of entering and observing from a distance.

Following yesterday's podcast detailing the "Why" we should care about building a connected future for Ethereum, we decided to follow it up with a detailed, technical video on the "How" it will be accomplished. Rollup clusters offer a promising way forward, and in this piece, we're breaking down exactly how they work and which interoperability solutions are best suited for different jobs. One of our favorite sayings from the modular ecosystem is to "pick the best tool for the job" and we believe this extends to interoperability solutions as well. You can think of rollup clusters as the blockchain equivalent of virtual local area networks (LANs). Within these clusters, multiple rollups are densely connected, creating an environment where transactions can be executed quickly and efficiently. This is akin to how devices within a LAN communicate seamlessly with each other, enhancing the overall user experience within the cluster. One of the key distinctions to understand is the difference between intra-cluster and inter-cluster communication. Intra-cluster communication focuses on maximizing speed and atomic composability, ensuring that transactions are synchronized within the same block across all rollups in the cluster. This is particularly important for high-frequency trading and algorithmic applications, where even the slightest delay can have significant consequences. (Think about AI agents transacting in the future). On the other hand, inter-cluster communication prioritizes security and validity, accepting a bit more latency to provide stronger guarantees—similar to the evolution of long-distance communication on the internet. However, it's not just about speed and composability. The current development of rollup clusters is also a balancing act between engineering feats and economic incentives. For these clusters to thrive, it's not enough to just build technically impressive solutions; they also need to be economically viable for the rollups involved. This means decentralizing sequencers and creating shared infrastructure in a way that makes financial sense for the rollup operators themselves. The potential collaboration between SuperBuilder and Polymer's IBC is a promising step in this direction, as it could enhance both intra- and inter-cluster communication by combining the strengths of atomic execution and async interoperability.
