Welcome back to The Moto Curious! It's been a while since I've actually EDITED an episode instead of just capturing audio -- but today I'm really motivated. We're out here at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington, where we've been testing our newest CW Moto Yamaha R1 Stock 1000 bike, and supporting some of our local WMRRA customers trackside and, even watching some racing. In this episode, you'll hear our highlights (and some lowlights) from the 2022 MotoAmerica season thus far. We've got a plug in for the MotoAmerica Mini Cup series that is running this weekend at the Ridge Round, and I share the update that, with Sean Thomas -- our sponsored rider for this year -- still out injured, we're welcoming Eziah Davis, a senior instructor with Yamaha Champions Riding School (and accomplished up-and-coming racer) to our roster for the Ridge Round. We're also really excited to announce our season's partnership with Cascade Motorcycle Safety. Will we see YOU at the Ridge Round this weekend?   Key Points From This Episode: What we've been up to this season so far locally and in the MotoAmerica paddock. Why we recommend watching the Mini Cup races if you want to see the future of the sport. Insight into our team's rough start to the season. Crewing for Andy DiBrino in his Stock 1000 and Superbike Cup classes at Road America. A controversial finish at the Road America Build Train Race and some Baggers appreciation. Our '22 Yamaha R1 build for the Ridge Round and an update on Sean Thomas's anticipated return. Why working with Eziah Davis felt like the best choice for this round at the Ridge. Conducir en moto acompañado: ¡Empatía!

Moto1Pro y EnduroPro Podcast

Me encanta rodar solo. Elige bien. Si vas a viajar a dúo, elige bien tu moto.

I recently had a great discussion with writer WB Welch about novellas, horror writing, poetry, and how writers can fit writing into a busy schedule and effectively use social media. ***** About WB Welch: While she's spent most of her professional career in marketing and customer communications, WB has had many hobbies over the years, including photography and natural skin care and holistic remedies. She studied and became certified in personal training and corrective exercise, and she's always been an adrenaline junkie. She's been bungee jumping, skydiving, owned a Yamaha R1 for a time (before it was so woefully stollen), and she was getting pretty decent at staying on top of a skateboard before chronic illness slowed her down a little. She's currently working as an email developer while writing in her free time. She often focuses on the darker side of human emotions, striving to write honest fiction with texture. Publishing credits include Blood Drops, The Last Letter, and Wet Water, as well as “Baby Muncher” in the 16th edition of Thrice Fiction. The Roadrace Factory is entering the 2015 MotoAmerica season with new rider announcements and Danny Walker joins us to discuss the exciting rider lineup for the season ahead. Jake Gagne will head up the teams efforts for 2015 aboard the all new Yamaha R1 in Superstock. Jake's training has ramped up in the off season as he prepares for his return to the Roadrace Factory. Tomas Puerta (Columbia) brings high expectations for the RRF team in 2015 riding the R6 Yamaha in the Supersport Class. Puerta was the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Rookie of the Year. Ben Young will be returning to the American road racing scene after a season abroad in the British Superbike Series competing in the 1000cc Superstock class. Young will be bringing with him the sponsorship of Tim Hortons.  Cameron Peterson, the South African 2013 Super600 Champion will be working to adapt to not only his new Roadrace Factory team but the race tracks utilized by MotoAmerica in 2015. This four rider package will mean much adjustment for the Roadrace Factory team led by Danny Walker. We go inside the mind of one of the most talkative and dynamic team owners in the sport to get his thoughts on the season ahead.
