Kristie is the Yukon Cornelius of casting! She can find anyone! With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Kristie has uncovered a lot in her career.  As the co-owner of a Boston-based modeling agency in the 1990's, she provided brands with talent described as “younger, hotter and sexier” in a market that had not seen a new agency open in over 20 years. Her exploration continued when she launched Viewfinder Productions in 2004, laying the groundwork to support productions of all sizes in casting, location scouting, crew coordination and budget management.  While contracting with a major toy manufacturer, Kristie realized how little diversity was being represented in the overall messaging. She partnered with several brands to look beyond the expected and find kids who truly represented the scope of their customers. HumanKind, LLC is the culmination of that empowering experience.   Kristie is determined to use her creative powers for good in this industry and to work with clients that don't just create images, but create meaningful impact, for both our communities and for our culture at large.

Airing sixty years ago this month, the first Rankin and Bass Christmas special asked if you recall the most famous reindeer of all. Based on the children's book by Robert L. May, originally published by Montgomery Ward, and made perhaps even more famous by the Gene Autry version of song written by May's brother-in-law Johnny Marks. The most famous version of all is the TV special produced by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass, sponsored by GE, which aired on NBC and adapted the original story into an “Animagic” stop-motion saga featuring Rudolph, Hermey, Sam the Snowman, Yukon Cornelius, the Bumble, and more. Day 3 of 25 Days of Christmas has Patricia and Carlene discussing about the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop motion Christmas special Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer based on the 1939 booklet of the same name by Robert L. May. A young reindeer named Rudolph is treated as an outcast due to his glowing red nose. After mistreatment from his father, Santa Claus, and the other reindeer, he ran away. He meets up with an elf named Hermie who is also an outcast from the other elves since he wants to be a dentist as opposed to a toymaker. They meet up with a man named Yukon Cornelius and venture into the Island of Misfit Toys. Eventually, Rudolph returns to the North Pole to help Santa save Christmas from the foggy snowstorm.
