Kristie is the Yukon Cornelius of casting! She can find anyone! With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Kristie has uncovered a lot in her career.  As the co-owner of a Boston-based modeling agency in the 1990's, she provided brands with talent described as “younger, hotter and sexier” in a market that had not seen a new agency open in over 20 years. Her exploration continued when she launched Viewfinder Productions in 2004, laying the groundwork to support productions of all sizes in casting, location scouting, crew coordination and budget management.  While contracting with a major toy manufacturer, Kristie realized how little diversity was being represented in the overall messaging. She partnered with several brands to look beyond the expected and find kids who truly represented the scope of their customers. HumanKind, LLC is the culmination of that empowering experience.   Kristie is determined to use her creative powers for good in this industry and to work with clients that don't just create images, but create meaningful impact, for both our communities and for our culture at large.

May, originally published by Montgomery Ward, and made perhaps even more famous by the Gene Autry version of song written by May's brother-in-law Johnny Marks. The most famous version of all is the TV special produced by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass, sponsored by GE, which aired on NBC and adapted the original story into an “Animagic” stop-motion saga featuring Rudolph, Hermey, Sam the Snowman, Yukon Cornelius, the Bumble, and more. Day 3 of 25 Days of Christmas has Patricia and Carlene discussing about the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop motion Christmas special Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer based on the 1939 booklet of the same name by Robert L. May. A young reindeer named Rudolph is treated as an outcast due to his glowing red nose. After mistreatment from his father, Santa Claus, and the other reindeer, he ran away. He meets up with an elf named Hermie who is also an outcast from the other elves since he wants to be a dentist as opposed to a toymaker. They meet up with a man named Yukon Cornelius and venture into the Island of Misfit Toys. Eventually, Rudolph returns to the North Pole to help Santa save Christmas from the foggy snowstorm. The role of the reindeer who saved Christmas was played by a young Canadian woman! This is the story Behind the Christmas Hit…Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer #BehindTheChristmasHits is Presented by Pizza Pizza! The song Rudolph was written by Johnny Marks and first recorded by Gene Autry in 1949…but one of the reasons the song endures is because of the television special produced by Rankin Bass Productions in 1964. It has been broadcast on network television every year since, making it the longest continuously-running Christmas special of all time. The animation for the story of Santa’s newest reindeer was done in Tokyo and most of the voice work was produced in Canada…at the RCA studios in Toronto. And the cast was virtually all-Canadian too. Hermy was voiced by Paul Soles, who would go on to be the voice of Spider-Man in the 1967 cartoon series. Yukon Cornelius was voiced by Larry Man – you might remember him as “the boss” in a series of TV commercials in the 80’s & 90’s for Bell. And…much like Bart Simpson…the voice of Rudolph was performed by a female actor.
