My guest this week is Adam Terry, the co-founder and CEO of Cantrip. A few weeks ago, Aaron Edelheit came on the show and made the pitch for investing in Cannabis Beverages. Today, we talk to one of the leading operators in this space. This was a fun conversation where we really got into the weeds, pun intended, into the science of a very complicated plant and an equally complex regulatory landscape. We also talked about the vision for Cantrip and how Adam aims to build a defensible and valuable business. Please enjoy this conversation with Adam Terry. #Socialdistancing has upended most of our lives. We’ve been told to “stay safe, stay home”. And while that is exactly what we need to do, it's created a dire situation for many businesses that rely on the public to keep their doors opened. No industry has felt this more than your local food joints! Without major corporations backing them, these “ma and pop” shops have had to get creative in how they can continue to provide services to their customers while maintaining the recommended and sometimes mandated rules of #socialdistancing. In today’s episode of The MomForce Podcast, host Vanessa Quigley is joined by her husband (and Chatbooks co-founder / CEO) as they chat with three local restaurants about how they’ve had to adapt to the current situation. Adam Terry, the owner of Waffle Love says the best thing you can do right now is to order a full priced meal! He says that businesses like his have significantly slimmer margins, so literally, every penny helps! What’s Vanessa’s favorite thing on the menu? Chicken and waffles! Cameron Treu, the owner of Bam Bam’s BBQ (and host of The Nitty Gritty Podcast) says to spread the love! If you are heading to a drive thru that has 20 cars lined up, maybe find a joint that doesn't. Look for a place that doesn't even have a drive thru, but have improvised with a pull up service. Everyone needs a little bit of love right now. Jayson Edwards, the owner of JDawgs says to get scrappy! Rethink how you sell your food. If that means creating “at home kits” then do it! Jason and his team put together DIY kits of their famous hotdogs and special sauce for families to pick up and enjoy at home. This is a weird time. A hard time. And seeing communities band together to help support local businesses show that the human spirit is ready for the challenge. If you are able, order take out. When #socialdistancing becomes a thing of the past, we are going to want to hit up our favorite hot spots and supporting them now will ensure that their doors will be opened and ready to serve! Click here to watch Waffle Love's TV show Vanessa and Nate's podcast episode on The Nitty Gritty Podcast And check our Show Notes podcast blog page for Vanessa and Nate's top 10 local food spots!

You guys know what time it is, it's time for the dynamic duo of craziness, Adam Terry and Sam Corbin! We talk about Sesame Street and Jim Henson. Help us settle the argument over what constitutes the difference between acting, voice work, and cosplay for puppeteers? Next, I research dildos on Amazon Prime! Check out these prime pieces: Loveryoyo Lyps Doc Johnson Prostate Massager Tireless Tongue Feel free to grab one of these for us and we can review them ourselves! We talk about Backroom Casting Couch, crimes against the disabled, and many other totally tasteless subjects that made me laugh.
There’s a lot to recap from this weekend in the sports world. Matt begins by looking back at Cuse’s victory Saturday over Pitt at the Dome. He’s joined for further analysis by Adam Terry of the Syracuse IMG Sports Network. Later, the Yankees stay alive in their series against the Indians. Bills and Giants lose, Jets win. In ‘Do We Care,’ Dolphins OL coach Chris Foerster resigns after video surfaces of him snorting a “white powder” and Raiders lineman Donald Penn gets into a verbal altercation with fans on Sunday.
We begin today’s “In The Booth” with Matt Park breaking down Syracuse’s loss Saturday night against Middle Tennessee. In our ‘Do We Care?’ segment, UFC star Conor McGregor is being sued, the Cleveland Indians are a couple games away from surpassing the 1935 Cubs’ winning streak, and the Australian Prime Minister is in trouble. Finally, Matt talks to SU broadcaster Adam Terry.
I have a lengthy ramble with local Reno comedians Austin Baca and Adam Terry. Did we get slightly offensive sometimes? Of course! Did I have to choose between way too many titles including Cuck of Noodles, Cake Muffins, and Shark Dynasty? Yes, I did. Did I have to choose between way too many titles including Cuck of Noodles, Cake Muffins, and Shark Dynasty? Yes, I did. Either way, we talk about poop, elderly and blue-collar discrimination, snowballing, centaur Jennifer Garner, mushrooms, garlic, bitch-ass dads, and cup noodle pronunciation. Adam and I throw some "Your Bitch Ass Dad" jokes back and forth, as of this recording we had not done the competition, but let the record show that I (Bobby) took second! I also talk for a moment about a bit I was working on including an entire musical number accompaniment, which I did, and it turned out awesome! Keep an eye on my Youtube account for a video that I'm putting together of it.
Sometimes it's hard to leave your work at the office. Adam's mother is a teacher, which means that when he was growing up, he had to suffer those same school traits at home as well. This was one of the first stories told at our new open-mic night at the Hackney Picturehouse. Why not come along to the next one? Details, as ever, on our website.
