As some of Big Red Barrel's oldest fogies, Dan, Tim and Coleman are partial to some of the finer-aged systems of the past. 2025 marks 40 years since the launch of Commodore's Amiga 1000 (a system we've all grown up with), so we've decided to show love with a run-down of our favourite games. Editor's note: We're all on our Christmas/New Year break, but we've left you with a handful of special shows to keep you company while we're gone. See you next week on January 17. Aneb když si z dalekých cest chcete přivézt opravdu velký suvenýr. Nedovezený vytěžený náklad z dalekých světů, zničená přepravní loď a pobryndaný ubrus. Pavel Dobrovský a Marek Bílek spolu rozebírají, jak vznik Vetřelce ovlivnil tvorbu žánrů sci-fi, hororu a samozřejmě her. This week we bask in the failure of our live episode by doing what we do best: Abandoning failed ideas! Don't be expecting another live show from us for a little while, but do be expecting only the finest news stories in the world of gaming this week. From GTA: San Andreas coming to Xbox 360; to EA patching FIFA to make scoring goals easier, with even a little bit of Smash Bros news thrown in to round it all out. In our feature this week we argue whether Indie games are good or bad, with Rob arguing for bad, and Don and Gareth arguing for the correct answer: Good. Then in this week's "What Have We Been Playing" we talk about a couple of new releases we've been playing in The Evil Within and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, somehow finding time to squeeze in a smidge of Destiny, Dynasty Warriors and Alien Breed. It's not every podcast that can start with a fresh rap, and end with a graphic conversation about shemales, but then you're not listening to just any podcast, you're listening to the Gamecentral Podcast!
This week the guys discuss current games like Puppeteer, Alien Breed, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, A Link Between Worlds, and many more. In the second segment they talk about games they think are incredibly underrated before concluding with talks about Nintendo's financial woes.

Episode #136 - The Immortal Podcast Immortal 4 enriches the world of computer game music, featuring remixes of the music from 35 Amiga games in newly arranged studio productions (German Report at .deMOSZENE). BitFellas pays tribute to the fantastic Immortal project and presents a selection of fine music from the Immortal CDs in BitJam Podcast #136, including a previously unreleased track. The acclaimed “Immortal†project started to take shape in the mind of Portuguese game music composer Ruben Monteiro in 1997. The idea behind this project was (and still is) to release the greatest soundtracks from games released for the Commodore Amiga computer on CD - newly arranged and recorded in the studio, but not necessarily in a chart-compatible way. Instead, the “Immortal†producers aim to work with the original artists whenever possible: Chris Hülsbeck, Allister Brimble, Bjorn Lynne, Barry Leitch, Jason Page, Tim Wright and many others contributed exclusive tracks in the past. As of April 2011, four volumes have been released in the “Immortal†series, featuring music from classic games such as Shadow of the Beast, Turrican, Speedball 2, Pinball Dreams, Wing Commander, Alien Breed, Lemmings, or Cannon Fodder. Mixing by Vincenzo, logo #136 by KF & Immortal 4 artists, compiled by Bobic
