What happens when one research study challenges an entire field? In this episode of Betrayal Recovery Radio, Dr. Jake Porter sits down with Barb Steffens, founding president of APSATS, to discuss the origins of betrayal trauma treatment and the research that helped transform how betrayed partners are understood and supported.Barb shares the story behind her groundbreaking doctoral research, which found that a significant majority of partners discovering hidden sexual betrayal exhibited symptoms consistent with PTSD. At a time when betrayed partners were often viewed through a codependency lens, her work helped establish a trauma-informed framework that would eventually reshape treatment, training, and advocacy efforts across the field.Together, Jake and Barb explore the development of the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model, the founding of APSATS, the challenges of introducing a new paradigm, and the remarkable growth of a movement that continues to impact betrayed partners and professionals around the world.Whether you're a betrayed partner, a helping professional, or simply interested in the history of betrayal trauma recovery, this conversation offers an inspiring look at how courage, research, and advocacy helped change the conversation for countless individuals and couples.Links:https://apsats.orghttps://daringventures.com
This week on The KE Report Weekend Show, we sit down with market legends Rick Bensignor and Dan Steffens to unpack a powerful macro shift in global markets. As inflation pressures mount and fiat currencies erode, Rick Bensignor breaks down the technical charts for gold, silver, and critical minerals - revealing the exact levels investors need to watch for the next major commodity breakout. Then, energy expert Dan Steffens joins the conversation to dissect the structural supply crisis in the oil patch, the staggering draws on the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), and why top unhedged North American producers are positioned for massive free cash flow. Whether you are navigating precious metals or positioning for the energy squeeze, this episode delivers actionable data and top stock picks to help you stay ahead of the curve. Segment 1 & 2 - Rick Bensignor, President of Bensignor Investment Strategies, provides a comprehensive chart-based analysis of multiple financial markets. He maintains a structurally bullish long-term outlook on gold due to currency devaluation but warns of a near-term correction down to the $3,700/oz range driven by a potential short-squeeze on the US dollar. Furthermore, Bensignor outlines why global interest rates have officially bottomed, notes that physical oil market metrics skew risks heavily to the upside, and cautions that the US equity market is flashing exhaustion signals after a historic vertical rally. Click here to visit the In The Know Trader website - https://intheknowtrader.com/ Segment 3 & 4 - Dan Steffens, President of the Energy Prospectus Group, joins the show to analyze the current volatility in the energy sector, focusing on the fundamental supply-demand squeeze in the oil market and the highly seasonal nature of natural gas prices. Throughout the discussion, Dan outlines several key investment opportunities, highlighting unhedged producers like Diamondback and EOG, specific Canadian plays such as Tourmaline and Whitecap, and the strong post-merger potential of special-situation stocks like Crescent Energy, SM Energy, and Devon Energy. Segment 1 & 2 - In this interview, Brien Lundin, editor of the Gold Newsletter and host of the New Orleans Investment Conference, discusses the current sideways consolidation in precious metals and the bullish performance of copper. He explores broader market trends, highlighting opportunities in exploration-stage junior mining stocks and the strategic revaluation of resource companies through acquisitions and spin-outs. This Weekend's Show explores a stark contrast in the resource sector: a "volatility blowout" in precious metals driven by shifting Fed expectations and Western speculation, set against a backdrop of tightening global energy supplies. Guests Brien Lundin and Dan Steffens dive into why current price drops in gold and silver may be a classic "snapback" opportunity, while the oil market faces a legitimate physical deficit that the forward curve has yet to fully price in. Segment 1 & 2 - Kicking off the show Brien Lundin, editor of the Gold Newsletter and host of the New Orleans Investment Conference, shares his insights on the current state of the precious metals market, explaining that recent volatility and sell-offs are largely driven by shifting expectations of Federal Reserve policy in response to an oil price spike and persistent inflation. Brien remains fundamentally bullish, viewing the downturn as a prime buying opportunity for high-quality major and junior mining stocks, particularly as the sector remains well-capitalized for extensive exploration programs in 2026. Segment 3 & 4 - In this segment of the KEE Report, Dan Steffens, President of the Energy Prospectus Group, discusses the current state of the oil and energy sector in light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. In Episode 85 of Moving Into the Future, host Jack Macejka, Vice President of National Accounts at The Advance Group, sits down with Patrick Steffens, Senior Director of Office Leasing at Avison Young, to talk about what is really happening inside New York City’s commercial real estate market. After the strongest year of office leasing activity since 2019, Patrick shares what the numbers actually mean on the ground. From more than 40 million square feet of Manhattan leasing to the continued demand for trophy and Class A buildings near Grand Central and Penn Station, the discussion looks at why companies are committing to New York and how the market is evolving. Jack and Patrick also explore the growing opportunity for well positioned Class B buildings, how tenant strategy is changing as space tightens, and why proximity, talent, and transit still make New York one of the most powerful business hubs in the world. The conversation also touches on how better data and emerging AI tools are helping brokers and clients make smarter decisions in a rapidly shifting market. The Living Truth Podcast - Freedom From Unwanted Sexual Behavior, Hope & Healing For the Betrayed
Kristin Cary welcomes Dr. Barbara Steffens, founder and first president of the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) and one of the pioneering voices who reframed sexual betrayal as trauma rather than codependency. Together, Kristin and Dr. Steffens explore how ministry leaders, counselors, and pastors can wisely and compassionately walk with betrayed women and struggling couples through the aftermath of sexual sin. They discuss best practices for trauma-informed care, the importance of safety and stabilization, and what it looks like to shepherd hearts with both truth and tenderness. Gain insight into the multi-dimensional partner trauma model with practical strategies for responding to crisis moments, and a renewed vision for the Church's role in bringing hope and healing to those navigating the devastating fallout of betrayal. Whether you're a pastor, ministry leader, counselor, or simply someone walking alongside a friend in pain, this conversation will equip and encourage you to become a safer and more effective presence of Christ's love. With your co-hostesses: Lyschel Burket from HopeRedefined.org Bonny Burns from StrongWives.com Listen now: Today, we are welcoming one of our favorite people in the world, Dr. Barb Steffens, director emeritus of APSATS, to join us as we explore, "Surviving Relapse." Almost weekly, there is news of yet another ministry leader caught in a sex scandal or a Christian recovery leader having relapsed. Being in this field of work, the three of us are keenly aware of the fact that behind each scandal and each relapse there is, typically, a partner who is traumatically impacted. Relapse, specifically, is terrifying for partners because it reopens the wound they worked so hard to stabilize, instantly bringing back fear, shock, and a sense of lost ground. It's not just about his behavior returning—it's the nervous system remembering how unsafe and unprotected it once felt. We Will be Discussing: Does relapse have to be a part of recovery? What is HER relapse safety play? Forgiveness does not replace accountability or override safety of betrayed spouses and the broader community. So, when a ministry leader relapses, how do we distinguish between grace and wisdom? What hope can we leave our listeners?
This Weekend's Show we are replaying two big-picture conversations from earlier in the week. Craig Hemke explains why this metals run looks structural (not just momentum), while Dan Steffens lays out how a “glut” narrative in oil could flip, at the same time LNG-driven natural gas demand tightens and energy stocks offer dividends, buybacks, and M&A-driven upside. Segment 1 & 2 - Craig Hemke, founder and editor of TF Metals Report, joins the KE Report to recap an extraordinary year for gold and silver, explaining the structural forces behind record-high prices, why mining shares remain undervalued, and what macro signals - like central bank policy and yield-curve control - could drive the next phase of the precious-metals bull market into 2026. Click here to visit Craig's website - TF Metals Report - https://www.tfmetalsreport.com/ Segment 3 & 4 - Dan Steffens, President of Energy Prospectus Group, joins the KE Report to share his outlook for oil and natural gas heading into 2026, including why modestly higher prices could still drive strong cash flow for producers. On this Weekend Show, Tavi Costa and Dan Steffens walk through where they see real value today: high-quality junior precious and base metal names positioned for M&A, and a structurally tightening energy market led by natural gas and overlooked oil producers. On this episode of Reliability Radio, hosts Jonathan Guiney and Brendon Russ speak with JLL's Bryce Steffens about the most important asset in the age of AI: People. While many workers are "running scared" that AI will take their jobs, Bryce shares a revolutionary mindset shift: What if you eliminate your own job first? Drawing from his presentation at TRC 2025, Bryce focuses on the People and Culture at Work domain of the Uptime Elements, emphasizing Opportunity for Growth and Mattering at Work. Key Takeaways & Concepts: The Glug Effect: Bryce introduces the hilarious and highly relatable analogy of the "glug" —the sudden, overwhelming feeling of negative emotions caused when too many demands (meetings, urgent work) flood your schedule, leading to breakdowns and messes in your team and process. The Proactive Solution: The core counter-strategy is to write things down with the explicit mentality of giving that work to someone else. This practice captures valuable tacit knowledge, creates growth opportunities for others, and frees up your time for passion work. Reliability Connection: By reducing the overwhelm (the "glug"), people are happier, more effective, and the underlying processes become more reliable. Actionable First Steps: Bryce offers simple, low-tech ways to get started, such as writing down just one task, recording a screen recording, or keeping an informal SharePoint or Wiki—proving you don't need official sign-off or a huge budget to begin leaving a meaningful legacy. This session serves as a breath of fresh air, reminding everyone that people drive processes, and focusing on team well-being is the fastest route to reliable equipment.
In this essential episode, we dive into a candid conversation about the role of pastors and church leaders in responding to sexual addiction and betrayal trauma within their communities. Many leaders feel illequipped—or even fearful—of “getting it wrong” when someone discloses their pain. Our guest, Dr. Barbara Steffens, offers practical wisdom on how pastors can take meaningful first steps, create shame-free environments, and offer spiritual care without needing to be counselors or experts. We explore common missteps leaders make, how to respond with grace when harmful advice is being given, and what it means to walk in both truth and compassion. For those seeking to make their churches proactive rather than reactive, this conversation casts a vision for what safe, healing spaces can look like—where both individuals and couples impacted by sexual brokenness can find support, truth, and lasting hope. Whether you're a pastor, ministry leader, or a concerned member of your church, this episode is packed with clarity, encouragement, and next steps. In this KE Report daily editorial, we welcome back Dan Steffens, President of the Energy Prospectus Group, to break down the latest developments across the oil and natural gas markets. With crude prices recently dipping below $57/bbl and natural gas showing relative strength, Dan shares his insights on market fundamentals, storage levels, and the outlook for key producers and income plays. Key Discussion Points: Oil Market Outlook - Despite headlines of oversupply, U.S. crude and product inventories remain below seasonal averages, with Cushing storage levels near record lows. Dan believes strong support around $57 and possible SPR refilling could stabilize prices. Natural Gas Demand Drivers - U.S. LNG exports are expanding rapidly, projected to reach ~20 Bcf/day in Q1 2026. Rising AI data center power needs are emerging as a major new demand source, with multiple gas-fired plants being developed to support this growth. Top Natural Gas Producers - Companies positioned to benefit from rising demand include EQT Corp (EQT), Antero Resources (AR), and Range Resources (RRC). Balanced Oil-Gas Plays – For diversified exposure, Dan highlights Ovintiv (OVV), Devon Energy (DVN), and Coterra Energy (CTRA), each with substantial natural gas and NGL production alongside oil output. High-Yield Midstream & Income Ideas – The safest dividends lie in midstream operators such as Plains All American (PAA) (≈9% yield, tax-advantaged), Enbridge (ENB), and Oneok (OKE) - all benefiting from steady volume-based cash flows. Dan also notes Black Stone Minerals (BSM) and Kimbell Royalty Partners (KRP) as strong royalty-income opportunities. Hedging & Cash Flow Stability - Many of these firms are well-hedged, ensuring consistent dividends even amid commodity price swings. With gas futures near $4, Dan expects renewed investor rotation into gas-weighted producers through year-end. This weekend's KE Report show dives deep into two key corners of the commodities market. In the first half, Matt Geiger breaks down precious metals sentiment post-Beaver Creek and where copper could be the next big mover. In the second half, Dan Steffens highlights why select oil and gas names remain undervalued despite a flat pricing environment. Segment 1 & 2 - Managing Partner Matt Geiger of MJG Capital joins to discuss Beaver Creek's upbeat sentiment and why he sees precious metals in the “middle innings,” expecting near-term consolidation in gold/silver while turning bullish on copper given supply disruptions and an extreme copper-to-gold disconnect. He also weighs in on the Elemental Altus–EMX royalty merger and Tether's role, majors like Centerra taking stakes in juniors, and his playbook of favoring early-stage copper names, taking profits into hype, raising cash, and redeploying into high-quality pullbacks. Click here to visit the MJG Capital website to learn more about Matt's fund Segment 3 & 4 - Dan Steffens, president of the Energy Prospectus Group, argues that even with range-bound oil and gas prices, geopolitical risks and the IEA's shifting outlook keep supply tight. He highlights company-specific catalysts - Crescent Energy's merger and hedges, Diamondback's gas-to-power/AI plans (and Viper Energy), Devon's buybacks, and dividend-rich Northern Oil & Gas - while favoring natural-gas-weighted names ahead of rising LNG demand, a possible La Niña winter, and increased year-end M&A. Bunch of short interviews with some of the Fly Racing ambassadors and Max from Seat Concepts from the PIR Fly Racing 2026 gear launch.
Letzte Woche gab's eine kleine Pause. Warum? Toni erklärt differenziert, man kennt's.
