Eine sehr ungewöhnliche Folge diese Woche. Das am Ende von Folge 129 bereits befürchtete Worst Case Szenario ist eingetroffen, und Dennis hatte die letzten Tage keine Zeit, um Long Halloween Teil 1 zu sehen, geschweige denn, ein Gespräch dazu aufzunehmen. Weil Micha aber vor der Besprechung der Verfilmung ohnehin noch ausgiebig über die Stärken und Schwächen der Comic-Vorlage, und noch ausgiebiger über die spannende Karriere ihres Autoren Jeph Loeb sprechen wollte, um Kontext für die Rezension der beiden Filme zu schaffen - und weil dann auch noch außerdem letzte Woche leider die Comic-Legende Neal Adams unerwartet verstorben ist, kommt trotzdem eine ganze Stunde zusammen, sodass wir den Patreon-Fans nicht schon wieder eine exklusive Folge wegnehmen und für die Allgemeinheit freigeben müssen. We are talking all about the latest DCU animated movie of Batman The Long Halloween Part 1. These films seem to be getting cranked out with it only being like a month since Justice Society WW2 coming out. And just about another month till Part 2 of TLH returns. So, at least we won't have to wait too long. But getting back to the flick, based on the classic Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale book about a Holiday Killer making a mark on the crime families of Gotham. Leading into a culture clash of the old school mobsters and the new super villains moving in. This is one of those great gateway comics for anyone looking to start getting deeper into the Batman universe. The movie holds up well to the book too, though since it's part 1 it's more of the setup piece. But great nonetheless. With it's own twists, turns, and style to separate it from the original.
