The Barna Group reveals that Gen Z women are struggling deeply with their faith, citing isolation, anxiety, and a distrust of religious institutions. We examine why organized religion is failing young women and driving them towards secular communities and skepticism. This demographic shift underscores the critical role of intersectional issues ignored by rigid, traditional doctrines.News Source:Gen Z Women Struggling in FaithBy Unknown for Barna
Chiefs owner Clark Hunt integrates his Christian faith into the team culture, leading quarterback Patrick Mahomes to become increasingly vocal about his belief. We question if Mahomes' public piety is genuine or a savvy form of career compliance, especially given the financial insecurity of non-guaranteed NFL contracts. This coercive atmosphere, previously linked to Christian nationalist rhetoric (like Harrison Butker's speech), highlights the dangers of blending theology with corporate power. We criticize the hypocrisy of wealthy team owners emphasizing prayer while ignoring global suffering.News Source:Essentially SportsBy Surab KumarNovember 9th, 2025
The Vatican, desperate to stay relevant amidst widespread secularism, held a "surprising assembly" with prominent Hollywood figures. We dissect this obvious propaganda push and coercion tactic designed to influence content and coerce creative professionals into supporting faith-driven messaging. This bizarre meeting reveals the hypocrisy of religious leaders who claim morality is objectively determined by God's will while simultaneously asking where the world gets its values.News Source:Pope Leo, Hollywood actors, VaticanBy Maria Manzos for Deseret NewsNovember 13th, 2025

But when direct questions about his background get dodged, he frames your need for basic information as paranoia, and something's off. A listener named Jada shares: "We matched two weeks ago and the chemistry is amazing. He texts good morning and goodnight, he's enthusiastic about meeting up. But whenever I ask specifics like where he works, what neighborhood he lives in, or even his last name, he gets vague and changes the subject. He keeps saying he likes to stay mysterious and we should get to know each other organically. Part of me thinks it's charming, but another part is worried. Is asking for his last name before we meet reasonable?" In this episode, we break down the difference between genuine mystery and information withholding. You'll learn the practical steps to vet someone before you go in-person, what actual red flags look like in the early stages, and how to advocate for your peace of mind without feeling like you're being unreasonable. Former Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger has secured $110 million to develop "Christian AI" through his company, GLUE, hoping to accelerate the second coming of Christ with server farms instead of faith. The panel dissects this brazen attempt to hardwire theology into technology, arguing that this is merely lobbying with excessive tech money and a dangerous act of desperation. We explore how faith-driven AI restricts knowledge, shapes minds, and threatens secular democracy by pushing public policy further toward a costly and contradictory theocracy. Will a new algorithm erase millennia of biblical contradictions? We doubt it.News Source:Patrick Gelsinger Christian AIBy Adam Willems for The GuardianOctober 28th, 2025
Joe Rogan weighs in on the church, claiming people attend only to "better their lives." The panel dissects this rosy, misguided view, contrasting church community (which often manipulates vulnerable people) with true secular support. We challenge the notion that Jesus offered a "perfect way to live" and dive into the philosophical debate over whether divine permission makes humans more, or less, decent. Plus, we explore the explosive argument for the mythicist position on the historical Jesus. Theocratic claims crumble under critical scrutiny.News Source:Joe Rogan on Religion and ChristianityBy NewsNation Stafffor NewsNationOctober 29th, 2025
A Massachusetts mayor decided to spend $850,000 in taxpayer funds to put up Catholic saint statues outside city buildings, claiming they are "secular demigods" invoked globally by first responders. This blatant blurring of church and state lines is drawing fire from citizens who recognize that religious icons, especially those specific to Catholicism, shouldn't be bankrolled by public funds. The move highlights the constant fight against theocratic creep, where religious privilege attempts to hijack government resources and spaces in violation of constitutional religious neutrality.News Source:Catholic statues, Quincy Massachusetts religious libertyBy Brianna J. Can Artificial Intelligence make medical research easier to understand? This AI-generated content (we hesitate to call it a traditional "podcast") was brought to our attention by one of Dr. Blevins' patients, who discovered it in a Facebook patient group. The creator used a well-known AI platform to analyze one of Dr. Blevins' recently published papers on PWN, translating the complex medical language into plain English with more accessible terms and less technical jargon. As you will hear, the platform generated a dialog. The goal was simply to better understand the content. You can read Dr. Blevins' original paper, "The Evolution of Our Understanding of the Nuances of Pathologic Cortisol Secretion," [here]. After carefully reviewing the AI-generated content for accuracy, Dr. Blevins found that the platform did an excellent job of simplifying the material and making the language more approachable for patients and general audiences. Following thorough consideration, we decided to publish it on PWN—and here it is! We Want to Hear From You What are your thoughts on AI-generated medical content? Does this approach help bridge the communication gap between complex research and patient understanding? Please share your opinions with us at info@pituitaryworldnews.com or comment on this article.

In this episode of Recounting Life Lessons, we're sitting down with Paul Cooke—a writer, academic, and former cult member who spent nine years in the Children of God, a group he later recognized as dangerously manipulative and deceptive. After a 40-year journey of reflection, healing, and writing, Paul recently completed a memoir about his experience and now shares his story to help others recognize how easily any of us can be misled under the right conditions. This conversation isn't just about cults—it's about clarity, courage, and reclaiming trust in your own discernment. Whether it's a relationship, belief system, organization, or opportunity that turns out to be something different than you thought, Paul's story offers timeless, hard-won lessons that can help you avoid the emotional toll of misplaced trust. IN THIS EPISODE: The subtle tactics that made a well-intentioned young man give up everything to join a cult How even smart, faith-driven people can get misled, and how to spot the red flags of deception and control to protect yourself The emotional toll of breaking free from a high-control group or relationship and how to start healing Why "trust but verify" is critical in making sound judgements What NOT to do when someone you love gets caught up in something destructive How manipulation works in everyday life (not just cults) and how to protect your confidence and clarity How real love, community, and grace helped Paul reclaim his freedom and confidence A FEW GOLDEN NUGGETS; Don't assume you're above being manipulated: Anyone can be vulnerable to deception and manipulation, especially during times of pain, transition, or isolation. Stay vigilant, ask questions, and seek trusted counsel before making major commitments. Distance can create space for clarity: Sometimes the best thing you can do is step back. Time away from group ideologies, influence, or pressure can restore your confidence in your own resoning and values. Manipulators isolate to control: Be mindful of any person or ideology that encourages you to cut off communication with trusted friends, family, or diverse viewpoints. Isolation often precedes control. In 1973, federal narcotics agents raided a pair of homes in Collinsville, Illinois by mistake. They didn't find any drugs, but they did terrorize two innocent families. The incident sparked nationwide outrage, and in response Congress passed legislation crafting a legal remedy for victims of federal law enforcement abuses. Over the years, however, lower courts have chipped away at the law to the point where it has essentially been repealed: Last year, a federal appeals court rejected claims from an innocent family, the Martin family, who were held at gunpoint after the FBI mistakenly raided their home in Atlanta. Fortunately, next week, on April 29, 2025, the Supreme Court will hold oral argument in Martin v. United States, and IJ will urge the justices to reverse course. On this episode, we explore the Federal Tort Claims Act, which was originally enacted in 1946 and then amended in 1974, to create a remedy for wrongful acts by government officials. We feature guests who worked on getting the 1974 amendment, called the law-enforcement proviso, passed into law. Click here for episode transcript. Martin v. United States (Eleventh Circuit opinion)

They discuss the fascinating and somewhat unsettling topic of fake LinkedIn profiles, an issue that has become increasingly prevalent. Kris Rides, with years of experience in cybersecurity staffing and professional services, shares insights from a recent LinkedIn post that garnered significant engagement. The discussion kicks off with Sean Martin recounting how Kris's post about a suspicious LinkedIn account with 28,000 followers caught his attention. Despite having a large number of followers, the account consistently posted irrelevant comments and lacked meaningful engagement. This anomaly prompted Kris to investigate further, leading to a broader conversation about the implications and dangers of fake profiles on professional networking sites. One key takeaway from their conversation is the motivational factors behind creating fake profiles. Kris highlights a range of activities from promoting scams and fake job offers to phishing attempts and even cyber reconnaissance. Fake accounts might seek to gather personal information through seemingly legitimate contact requests or endorsements, which could then be used for nefarious purposes. Kris explains that fake profiles often masquerade as legitimate individuals or companies, which makes them hard to identify at a glance. He recounts instances where Endorsements were used as a tool by these profiles to build credibility. In one case, a fake profile had numerous endorsements from a marketing tool, unbeknownst to the people doing the endorsing. This exploitation of LinkedIn's features underscores the complexity of detecting inauthentic activities. The episode also touches on the sophisticated techniques used to enhance the legitimacy of fake profiles.Kris shares how these profiles sometimes share resumes and job offers to build trust within the LinkedIn community. Sean and Kris debate the ultimate end-goals of these activities, including using amassed information for large-scale phishing or vishing campaigns, perpetrating job offer scams, and scraping data for fraudulent purposes. For professionals and companies, the conversation provides crucial advice: maintaining vigilance and conducting regular checks on connections and endorsements can help mitigate risks. Both speakers emphasize the importance of trust but verify, suggesting that users report suspicious activities to LinkedIn and engage cautiously with unsolicited requests. In summary, the episode explores how fake LinkedIn profiles represent a growing concern, affecting both individuals and organizations. Through their shared experiences and insights, Sean Martin and Kris Rides bring valuable awareness to this issue, encouraging proactive measures to safeguard personal and professional information in the digital age.___________________________SponsorsImperva: https://itspm.ag/imperva277117988LevelBlue: https://itspm.ag/attcybersecurity-3jdk3___________________________Watch this and other videos on ITSPmagazine's YouTube ChannelRedefining CyberSecurity Podcast with Sean Martin, CISSP playlist:
