Get ready for a true joy-ride with our extraordinary guest, Miss Carole Del Vecchio . We're exploring the highways and byways of life, learning, and the love of vintage vehicles. Carole's life is a testament to the power of hands-on creation, innovation, and invention. She brings a wealth of experience from working on 'kickstarter' Harleys, 70 XLCHs, FLH shuttles, and Camaros. Prepare for a conversation that takes an unconventional route through the twists and turns of gaining wisdom through mistakes, daring adventures, and living life free of instruction manuals.Together, Carol and I venture into the world of education, challenging the concept of dependence in learning. With her Class A CDL and her own trucking company to her name, Carol's journey underlines the importance of doing it yourself. We discuss the growth of dependence over time and the pressing need for dynamic training and development systems. It's all about amplifying people's learning and earning capacities, breaking the chains of dependence and fostering a spirit of self-reliance. Finally, we shift gears and focus on a dimension of our educational system that's often in the periphery - the discouragement of exploring trades. Buckle up as Carol and I advocate for courage to color outside the lines, to embrace trades, and to celebrate the joy of hands-on creation. We talk about her experiences as a welder, auto mechanic, and gearhead, and the incredible impact of embracing imperfections. It's time to rethink, refuel, and reignite the power within. So, tune in and let's hit the road with Miss Carole Del Vecchio!Build more meaningful connections with our trades men & women:https://www.depthbuilder.com/visible-leadershipGet on the path to Becoming the Promise You Are Intended to Be: https://www.depthbuilder.com/2nd-first-bookConnect on all the other socials at:http://depthbuilder.bio.link

When team Driving Ends Bad. Recently a team driver, shot his co-driver while in Texas. The victim then called 911 and reported the incident. Can you only imagine how that relationship must have been? This, many times, a team ends bad. Not necessarily with one of the team members shot but relationships don't end unless they are bad. So the perpetrator got into a police chase and ultimately ended up in a shoot out with police. That's right, I said a trucker was in a shoot out on the side of a road, with police. The trucker in question pulled his big rig to the side of the road and exited the semi with gins a blazing. He did not survive. After all, if you shoot at ten policemen, you should not have too guess how it is going to end. Team driving can be a nightmare. Many times when traveling inside a tiny space, living together in a sense, 24/7/ nerves can be tried and patience can be tested. Most teams in a tractor trailer, know one another. Many time over, a team consists of a husband and wife or a brother and brother or even a friend and a friend. These teams tend to last longer than a team, that is made up of two strangers. There are companies that with team two people up, that have never met prior to orientation. This can be a disaster when the two have nothing in common. For example, one might like it warm in the truck and the other, cold. One might want to smoke and the other, not. There are many issues that can set off a war inside a semi. All issues should be taken into consideration before teaming tow people up. These kind act will be forever imbedded in the minds of those that needed something that night, to keep themselves alive. MOLESTERS, TRUCK PARKING SCAM, TRUCKING NEWS. Child molesters are probably number one or at least very high on the list of scumbags on the planet. Give him a Class A CDL and you now have given him an unlimited hunting ground. On May 17th, Said El Bouazzaoui  was chatting with an undercover officer posing as a 13 year old girl using a social media application. Police say Bouazzaoui talked about the sexual things he wanted to do with the 13 year old and offer money for the sex.  El Bouazzaoui set up a rendezvous and was arrested by deputies with the Davis County Sheriff's Office when he arrived. El Bouazzaoui admitted to conversing with the undercover officer posing as a minor, and that conversation was found on his phone. Police also say there was other conversations on his phone with other possible victims. El Bouazzaoui is a trucker based in Pennsylvania who travels all 48 states on a weekly basis. Although the arrest statement does not actually say that contact was made with a minor, it is illegal to entice or converse with a minor or a suspected minor for anything sexual related. Everyone is innocent till proven guilty but it does not look good for anyone caught setting up meeting with children for sex, even if it is a police officer posing as that child. Truck Parking Scam Miami Fl: Recently the police set up a supposed "sting" in Miami allegedly for people helping truckers find much needed parking for their big rigs. imagine being a police department flooded with murders, drug cartels and semi truck parking problem? Truck parking? I can smell what the politicians of Miami are stepping in. Some where some how the orders to stop all investigations on serious crimes and concentrate on the big bad truckers and their semi trucks has to be a hoax right? Well its official, someone gave the orders. I dont think the police are the problem and I seriously dont believe that the police department of Miami determined this to be high on the list of problems that need to be solved. It sounds more like some rich politician has a bug up their ass and has put pressure on the mayor which in turn ends at the police department. Come on Miami get your act together and go solve some crimes instead of harassing the working class that are bringing your goods that you need every day. TWO TRUCKING DUI STORIES. In Nevada a Trucker received 2 DUI's in just 12 days. The worse part of this story, is, That the truck driver was in a commercial vehicle, both times. Julio Perea Ayala a Class CDL holder was arrested twice for a DWI (Driving While Intoxicated), of which he was behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle. Ayala was declared an imminent threat to the public by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). He was served an order March 26th that ordered him to cease and desist from operating any commercial vehicle in interstate commerce. A second story appeared this week. Two DUI Trucking Stories. TalkCDL obtained a story of a commercial truck driver that has received 5 DWI's in his lifetime. The driver writes, " I have obtained my Class A CDL and am seeking employment. He asks if there is a chance he will get a job and if anyone knows of a carrier that would give him a chance? Trucking schools are famous for taking money from people that have the dream of becoming a trucker, even when they know the person most likely will never get a job as a truck driver. Trucker Concerns

Trucker Concerns. Truck drivers concerns are on the rise in the industry. Truck drivers are concerned about a few things above the rest. One of those concerns is autonomous trucks. Truckers are starting to fear for their futures and rightly so. Self driving trucks are reported to be coming along faster than originally thought. A truck driver with no more skill than driving across country for a living could be seeing their last generation of human piloted tractor-trailers. If the filthy rich have their way, truck drivers will be a thing of the past. On the trucking podcast we talked about this and all the other concerns that truckers are most concerned about. You can find the podcast on most podcast platforms like Apple Podcast, Stitcher, Podbean, Google Podcast and any where a podcast host is you can find TalkCDL Trucking Podcast. Speed Limiters. Another issue truckers are concerned with is speed limiters. From what we are hearing the authorities are calling for a national speed set for all semi-trucks. The speed that is rumored is 65mph. Many truckers are concerned with the safety of other drivers being a split speed limit between four wheeled vehicles and either wheeled vehicles could pose a safety risk for the general public. The other issue is slower speed means more man hours to get the already tiresome job of delivering freight across the country done. Truck Driver Arrested Trucker CONCERNS. A truck driver was arrested at the Golden Spike Travel Plaza in Tremonton. An unnamed tanker driver was attempting to deliver fuel to the truck stop when another semi truck blocked the gas tanks, preventing him from delivering the fuel and completing the job. The tanker driver claims he asked the other driver, Danny Jerome Johnson, to move his rig, but Johnson became “belligerent.”  After an argument between the two broke out, the tank driver claims that Johnson grabbed a sharp edged pipe from his rig and attacked him. He claims Johnson then fled the scene. Later on the highway patrol stopped and arrested Johnson. Coming soon Johnny Acid is back If you remember Johnny Acid from the show a few years ago, he's back. Johnny sat down with Troy for the first time in 2 years. The interview was toughing but funny. Johnny talked about his new career, you guessed it, a trucker. Thats right Johnny has obtained his Class A CDL since leaving the show almost two years ago. He will be joining the show once again on a regular basis. The US DOT is looking for past military personnel that are interested in driving a tractor trailer for a living. This is the first step to allowing under 21 year olds to obtain a Class A CDL and cross state lines. In this weeks podcast, Ruthann suggested that s program that allows drivers to start off with regional type driving would make a great program. Troy agreed with this suggestion and added that a radius depending on the state would make sense. Fro example if a driver lives in Maryland, he/she could driver into PA, DE, NJ, VA and WV. Ruthann and Troy agreed that one year of this kind of driving should get a young trucker ready to run all 48 states. Five Trucking TrendsFive Trucking Trends Shaping 2019. We won't go into exact detail but there are many trends shaping th trucking world. Independent Contractors or Owner Operators is making a strong comeback. At times past the numbers of truck drivers owing their own trucks were at a decline. The industry has done an about face and drivers are investing in their own rigs and trying to cut their own path. Currently if a driver would take the chance at starting his own company his odds are better than ever of succeeding. At one time a trucker was at the mercy of leasing onto a trucking company and depending on the carrier to provide freight for them. Today opportunity is knocking for those that will. Shippers are begging for carriers to haul their freight which opens the door for new and upcoming businesses. If you have decent credit and a couple dollars saved you could be the future owner of the next mega carrier. http://bit.ly/TruckingTrends Trucking is a Trend It seems more and more people are entering into the trucking industry. Five Trucking Trends Shaping 2019. Woman and Men both are signing up for the adventure trucking offers. Many are leaving behind that office job that coops them up all day long with a set of eyes over them. Trucking is one of those dreams that can be fulfilled in a matter of a month or so. Once on the road they found out it was not for them. What we are trying to say is trucking is something more successful men have wanted and dreamed about most of their lives. Its a well thought out lifestyle and they have studied all about it most of their young lives. Most people that succeed already have a general idea of how life on the road will feel. You will need to look ahead and consider what your life will be like. You have to know that your life will not be the same as it was before you leave home. Once you leave for the first time you will feel all kind of emotions. Those that are married with children will feel an emptiness when you wake up the next day in the cab of a strange truck. You will feel fatigue from adjusting to life on the road. Your eating habits will change and perhaps your health will statistically grow worse. Thats right a big percent of truckers have high blood pressure, high, blood sugar and many more health issues from life on the road. So now here is what it comes down to. A trucker under the age of 21 is allowed to drive the same hours as an "Over-the-road" trucker but they are not allowed to cross the state line. So that means, the 19 year old driver can run across say Pennsylvania for over 400 miles. But if his delivery is one mile past the state line in New Jersey, he must drop it on the Pennsylvania side and let someone else make the delivery. Thats right, he can be trusted to drive all day long performing the duties of a Class A CDL holder but not go one foot into another state. Crazy right? Well these are the laws that are on our books to this day. I say its time for a change, if it is towards improving the industry. https://www.ccjdigital.com/senate-files-bill-to-allow-under-21-truckers-to-drive-interstate/ Accidents Kyle Rich Interview - 19 Yr. Old Trucker - Most driver between 16 and 25 are a high risk when it comes to getting insurance to drive. Numbers don't lie and these young drivers have proven over time that charging them high insurance rates justifies the price! Most young people are considered mature and careless when it comes to their driving habits and the statistics are there to bak up the claims. So if you're a young driver and better yet a young "trucker-Wanna-Be" you won't have long if you keep your driving record clean. https://www.dmv.org/insurance/why-teens-pay-more-for-car-insurance.php Kyle Rich Interview Set Your Goals If you're a young trucker or you are young and considering trucking as a career. You should have your eye on the goal. That goal is being hired by a carrier when you obtain you CDL. One thing that will help help you is a clean driving record. Thats right, its hard to say "no' to a clean CDL. So with that being said, try not to speed. get in the practice of changing lanes safely! Practice leaving a cushion between you and the vehicle in front of you and make sure you are aware of all traffic laws. This will enable you to pass your Class A CDL driving test easily! trucking companies look at driving records as one of their main priorities when trying to maintain good insurance rates. Most trucking companies are rewarded for hiring drivers with good records. Companies are charge more if they hire a certain amount of drivers with bad records. The Kyle Rich Interview - 19 Yr. Prisoners are now getting their Class A CDL while in Prison. Trucking companies are also in return looking into hiring in those places. Companies are desperate to fill their empty rigs and this is the place where competition is low. Prison Classes A prison in Ohio has worked out a peculiar deal with a local trucking company. As part of their inmate rehabilitation program, the Richland Correctional Institution offers a Commercial Drivers License Program through which currently incarcerated inmates can earn their class A CDL. CDL Truck Upon successful completion of their written exam, participants take part in a 4 week training program offered by Trainco, a local CDL school. Once they’re released from prison, they can choose to sign on with P I & I Motor Express as full-time trainees. During their time as trainees they do short hauls and stay at a local halfway house. Eventually they move on to longer OTR trips, and can then stay with the company or seek employment elsewhere. Prison facility These days everyone is trying to do their part and the prison system is no different. By offering programs such as "truck driving" they are helping build  a better country. Prisoners on the outside may have never thought of this career. The goal is to become a trucker and never go back to prison. Talk-CDL has been speaking about careers in trucking for many years now and is all for this new angle. Troy Austin has said many times that trucking is a lifestyle and not a job. With hope and help these drivers will have an entire new lifestyle. It was not so long ago that prisoners were fed bread and water and chained up together. Nowadays prisons are very different and a variety of programs  have been implemented as jail time moves away from punishment to rehabilitation.
