Wenn die DZ Bank in dieser Woche den vermutlich höchsten Gewinn ihrer Geschichte präsentiert (bisheriger Rekord: 2,9 Mrd. Euro im Jahr 2014) – dann wird der Mann, der den größten Teil zu diesem Ergebnis beigetragen hat, nicht mit auf der Bühne stehen. Nun muss man betonen, dass dem Mann, von dem wir hier reden, mitnichten irgendein Unrecht geschieht. Er ist ja nicht der Chef der DZ Bank, sondern lediglich der Chef ihrer Fondstochter, der Union Investment. Und doch darf man mutmaßen: Der DZ Bank ist es vielleicht gar nicht unlieb, dass ihr wichtigster Mann immer so ein bisschen im Schatten bleibt. Dazu muss man wissen: Hans-Joachim Reinke, Sternzeichen: Vertrieb, ist eher keiner dieser modernen Banker, die den Journalisten von den PR-Leuten für die schönen Porträts empfohlen werden. Auch 2010 schon nicht, als er bei der Union Investment auf den Chefposten rückte. Damals steckte ja allen noch die Finanzkrise in den Knochen. Die Lehman-Oma. Die Sache mit den Zertifikaten. Sie wissen schon. Das Zeitalter des Vertriebs, so schien es, war vorbei. Fintechs gab es zwar noch keine. Wohl aber ETFs, Quirin, die ewige Forderung nach einem Provisionsverbot und einen auch damals schon sehr ausgeprägten Glauben an den Selbstentscheider. Die klassische bankeigene Fondsgesellschaft? Auch noch als "Closed Shop" im Verbundmodell, wo es bei Genobanken nur Union-Fonds gibt und dieser nur bei Genobanken? Ein Auslaufmodell, wie nicht nur die Commerzbank glaubte, die in just im Jahr zuvor (also 2010) die Cominvest verscherbelte. Reinke dagegen (Credo: "Keiner steht morgens auf und sagt, heute lege ich mein Geld an")? Machte als Vorstandschef das, woran er glaubte und was er konnte: Vertrieb. Und so ist die Union Investment heutzutage eine so gut geölte Gewinnmaschine, das man sich bisweilen fragt: Was geht da eigentlich ab? Very few people reach the pinnacle of their dreams only to walk away from it. Tom Bancroft reached the top of the animation world by becoming one of the top animators and character designers. He worked on projects including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, and Brother Bear. But he is best know for creating the character Mushu for Milan and for animating Young Simba for The Lion King.After thirteen years at Disney and working on approximately nine features, Tom left Disney to pursue another adventure working at Big Idea Productions as a Supervising Director/Co-creator. Most recently Tom has been Artist in Residence at Lipscomb University in Nashville Tennessee.
